As believers, the word of God teaches us that we are healed in Jesus name. We claim it and walk in that healing. Then there are those who don't want to be healed because it links them to a deep loss which they do not want to let go of. A quote like this one, that has come my way, can change the way we think about healing and why sometimes we allow ourselves to linger in the pain that is left behind by the loss of a loved one or a situation that is beyond our control.

"Sometimes we don't want to be healed because the pain is the last link to what we have lost. - Jim Storm"

Seriously deep moments of contemplation but do we allow ourselves to let it go and should we? My thoughts are that sometimes we need to acknowledge the pain and the loss, celebrate those precious memories, recognise how it has made such an incredible impact in our lives. Then release these things into God's most loving hands. In some cases, this may take a while to achieve.

Be Blessed! Angelina

Thank you for posting this, @Angelina. I can relate very much.
I can relate to this in some ways where it comes to my son's homegoing. None of us are equipped or built to let go of our babies or children ...it doesn't matter whether it's the painful or not, remembrances are bittersweet, a two-edged sword. I have cried out to God so many times to show me the good that He promises to bring from this unimaginable pain. He will ....and so, I ask Him to help me separate the pain from the remembrances and find joy again. January 27th will be 5 years.
