I am struggling to forgive..and no wonder, it is not me that has to forgive is it?

Father, Forgive them for they know not what they do.

Please copy Jesus, who on the cross did not forgive his crucifiers, but instead prayed to his Father that he would forgive them.
We are told to tell God about what concerns us, so tell God about this man, his lies, control, abuse and betrail of you and your emotions.
Ask God to deal with him and with your hurts and feelings.
Lastly pray for this man, that he will repent and change.

He rebuked them, but Jesus didn't necessarily rebuke them in anger.
There is a difference between rebuke with kind and rebuke with anger.

You have to be careful there are wolves in sheep's clothing they will use it to control.There is a group of Christians that are near were I live and the leaders told the congregation they could take away their salvation if they choose they can send people to hell not God..These people were scared to death and did what ever they said taking over a town.They have been deconstructed and exposed losing their power to control.I don't see the whole story here makes me think he could be one.

A true pastor would show love and forgiveness not hold a resentment and your sins against you. Terrible pastor.
From what I read you don't even know why he's doing it he owes you that at the very least.

You might want to consider he might be going through hard times himself and you can forgive him I am sure he will come around if he's a true pastor.

I think this is a very important insight you noticed, thanks.

its so easy to get caught up in the moment of our own issues that we forget even pastors are human and have issues too.
He did mention he had some, but I just became selfish and ignored him because I was seething...

I'm learning to let go of someone who meant a lot to me, , it's a process of grief, and embracing this loss, in the eyes of what you mention helps.

This is the most annoying part, and one in which I mulled over too many times, all I ever wanted to do was create peace and fellowship. I am not the kind of person to create strife and disharmony...but that is what came about.

God only knows why...I am blind...but, and this is the best part, I have came across a scripture that soothed me...

John 9;3 KJV
Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

I feel so grieved by the loss of what was 10 years of a good friendship

I had the same experience with my pastor 9 months ago. Pray that God leads you to where you can take root and blossom.

Closure is important. I didn't get any either. He refused to meet me 1 on 1 to discuss the issue fully face to face. Not a good look for him.
