There is a reason the Lord speaks to people in parables and sayings, and that reason is because with our ears we don't hear and with our eyes we don't see.
Mar 4: 11,12 And He was saying to them, “To you has been given the mystery of the kingdom of God, but those who are outside get everything in parables,
so that WHILE SEEING, THEY MAY SEE AND NOT PERCEIVE, AND WHILE HEARING, THEY MAY HEAR AND NOT UNDERSTAND, OTHERWISE THEY MIGHT RETURN AND BE FORGIVEN.”
So to understand and know about this, how God is One God, a person must spend time actually listening to Him - as opposed to people leaning on their, and others, understanding - like is trying to be done on this thread.

From His mouth come knowledge and understanding.
Now if a person seeks the Lord our God, they find out that the Lord our God is the One we call Jesus Christ. He is the Word of God who took on flesh! And "The Word of God" is His name!
Jn 1:1,2 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God.
Rev 19:13 He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.
So why is Jesus Christ called the Word of God? It is because His Father gives Him the words of God. He owns the very words of God, because they are given to Him, and Him only by His Father.
Jn 16:15 “All things that the Father has are Mine; ....
You see, or at least should hear, see, and understand, that His Father loved Him (His Only begotten Son) so much that His Father gave Him all things that the Father has, including the very words of God, and also the throne, power, and authority of God - thus making Him (Jesus Christ) the Lord our God!!
Ps 2: 6,7 “But as for Me, I have installed My King
Upon Zion, My holy mountain.”
“I will surely tell of the decree of the LORD:
He said to Me, ‘You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You.
Rev 19:16 And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, “KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.”
So why don't we have this revelation in us? It is because we don't actually take time to talk with Him and listen to Him, and walk with Him and learn from Him!! That is the only reason for not knowing that Jesus Christ is Lord!!!
And if we walk, talk, and listen to Him, we realize that happens by His Holy Spirit of God talking to our spirit!! His words are spirit!!
Jn 6:63 “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.
And the spirit never ever speaks on His own, but as the Holy Spirit hears from Jesus Christ, the Lord, the Spirit speaks to our spirit!!
Jn 16:13 “But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come.
So nobody knows His Father, nor had ever heard from His Father except Him, unless of course He (Jesus Christ) makes it so! And that only through Him and thus through His Holy Spirit!
Jn 5:37 “And the Father who sent Me, He has testified of Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time nor seen His form.
Jn 5:43 “I have come in My Father’s name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, you will receive him.
Jn 5:44 “How can you believe, when you receive glory from one another and you do not seek the glory that is from the one and only God?
We don't believe because someone gives us their opinion on how God is One!! We believe because we listen to the words of God that come from the One who talks to us via His Holy Spirit!!
Rom 10:17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.
Therefore, our faith is in the One we get to know personally, because we talk with Him, and because we hear from Him, via His Holy Spirit giving out spirit His words for us, we know Him as our Wonderful Counselor, The Mighty God, our Everlasting Father, and even the Prine of Peace.
Is 9:6 For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us;

Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.

So He was the plan, even the King on the throne of God from the beginning, but He also came to earth to save us through His forgiveness. So we can talk to God, personally, and be thus counted as sons of God, resulting in out salvation by faith, but do we talk to Him. Do we know Him? Do we really receive His Holy Spirit who has His words into our lives? If so we know the One whom His Father put over all things and who is given the very words of God for us.
And this is the real important part, that He became one with His Father by being given the words of His Father, and He sends His Holy Spirit to our spirit with His words of God so that His Holy Spirit is one with Him like He is one with His Father, and so we can hear the words of God which came from the Father, were given to Him, and then to His Holy Spirit, and then to us - thereby making us who actually believe in Him all one with God!!
Silly people we are - that we fail to understand that to us, the important part is not that the Father, Son, and Spirit are One God, but that we who believe are to be one with God also!! Oh, we are not so perfect as the Father, Son, and Spirit, who all do and say only what is of God, but we can and will be like the angels in heaven (though perhaps a poor image of all that) if we simply believe in Jesus Christ and thus listen to Him!!
The God being One, was not so that we might lean on our own understanding!!!! It was said so that we might try and listen to Him, The Word of God who was made LORD OF LORDS AND KINGS OF KINGS over all. So are we going to continue in our rebellion or listen to Him???
Did we not even read about how a husband and wife is one, but that is about Christ and His church? How about the prayer Jesus made to His Father that we might be one with Him like He is one with His Father? Do you still not understand? You need to listen to Him!!
