So, as i and some others have told you the last 50X, .. you are teaching that your forgiveness of sin and your new birth, happen together.

And in fact, the New Birth Is God joining Himself to the FORGIVEN, believer.

You have to be FORGIVEN FIRST...., before, you are then spiritually "birthed".... as otherwise HOLY GOD is joining Himself to an UNFORGIVEN SINNER., and that can't happen.

Who here thinks that the Exodus story of slavery into freedom is a story of forgiveness? What happened to the those who refused to humble themselves and obey the Lord in the wilderness? Was it God's forgiveness that saw them perish? Or is MORE required of those who experience the blessings of God?

Belief and faith are both synonyms for the Greek pistis. We must live by faith, and as we mature, sound doctrine shows us what/how/why to believe. It's our responsibility to make the decision to live by that faith, otherwise faith without works is dead.

So, we have to be careful, and realize that Faith is not the Savior........... Jesus is Salvation. Its God who saves.

Many Believers, are trusting in Faith, vs, trusting in Christ...and what they dont realize is....>>"as long as i keep my Faith, i keep myself saved".. is NO FAITH in Christ. = Its FAITH IN FAITH.

In other words the gospel is available and offered and preached to the whole world and not just Israel. God so loved the world, not just Israel only....Jesus died for the sins of the whole world, not just Israel's. But He came speaking and preaching to Israel FIRST, so we need to put ourselves in their shoes listening to Him.

Do you really think that i posted that He would be happy about it?

My Post simply stated that Faith is vitally important to God, to "Please Him"... but, there can be a situation where the person is putting their Faith, in Faith., and that does not please God.

This person would say..........."As long as i keep my Faith, i dont go to Hell".

See that?
That is.. "Im trusting in myself to keep my Faith......to keep myself saved".

That is "Faith saves me........not Jesus".

So....That is not faith in Christ.......its wrong faith that is "holding onto faith, to try to stay saved".

We know that he is not, and that dead faith cannot save.

The reason that a person can have dead faith, subsequent to Salvation... is because God has already accepted their faith to give them Salvation.

So, only the Born again, can have dead faith............so, even if they do... it happened after they were already born again.. so it has no impact on their Salvation......it only has impact on their Discipleship.

See, if your faith is dead, you are not reading the bible, you dont think about Jesus, and the person (if they are an American) is binging on Soft Porn Netflix shows, 7 nights a week....oblivious to God.

Now..Let me show you what James teaches that you'll never hear from a Church Pulpit, that is trying to prove that "if you have dead faith, you have lost your salvation".

1.).. notice that James says this, to BELIEVERS he is talking to, who have dead faith...
They are all born again, but they have lost that ZEAL.. that "first love".... that "on fire for Jesus"..

= James say to THEM......>>>"I'll show YOU........my FAITH....by my WORKS".......

"ill show ... YOU.........my faith... by my works".. to prove i dont have dead faith... TO YOU..

2.) See that? That is not James showing His Faith is Alive to GOD..........
He's showing it..."to YOU"...
And the lesson is....... WE are to prove our faith, in front of others... so that they can SEE IT.. or they will think its DEAD... because it is..

God LOOKS IN OUR HEART...........He does not have to see any WORKS to know all about us..., but people have to see your works... or they will think your faith is dead.

First notice that this is not written to the NT Church.
its Written to JEWS.. before Jesus is Crucified, and its the Cross that Births the Church.

So, this is a symbolic verse, a teaching verse..., as there are no "men" in Heaven, who will be casting out the born again Son/Daughters' of God., who are "in Christ' and "one with God'.... forever.

So, we have to be careful, that we dont take symbolic verses... and try to send others to hell with them., as that is "wrongly dividing" the word of God.

Here's how I see this. Just doing my best, because I'm feeling ragged today. Remember scripture is speaking to the Jew FIRST, then the Gentile. The wilderness led the Israelites to the Law. Which was insufficient to bring them into the promised land of the gospel. So they "died" in the wilderness...the curse of the Law essentially. Paul was talking to the Hebrews/Jews first when He told them not to fail to enter His rest. Because he said we who believe HAVE entered His rest. Now....how the wilderness saga is speaking to the mostly Gentile church is on another level. I believe it is a parable for us (He speaks to us in parables remember)....after already having received the gospel, now we are on a journey of dying to our flesh and old man in the wilderness in order to enter another level of grace, I tentatively believe. Circumcised a "second time". Outer court, then inner court. Holy place, then Holy of Holies. We make the sacrifice outside the holy of holies and then we can enter it. Flesh cannot inherit, so it must die (be sacrificed) and we can only enter the Holy of Holies in spirit and by the Spirit. It's like we are giving birth to spirit....the "children" of those who died in the wilderness....through the birth pangs we are undergoing in our wilderness journey.

Find a verse that says that God forgave Paul for all his murders.

There are verses where Jesus tells people that their sins have been forgiven.

Do you think that Paul had received forgiveness, but that he was still in a position where forgiveness could be rescinded if he had returned to disobedience?

Jesus was speaking his final instructions to his disciples before his death to prepare them for the Church. This was indeed an address for the Church.
