This is a thread where I'll be posting about my progress with fitness, health, and beauty. Ladies, feel free to add advice and inspiration.

I want to improve on these things because

1. My husband was gracious and comforted me when I was much more overweight. I want to be in shape because he doesn't require that to love me.

2. I want to be an example to my children and bond with them over something besides shopping or eating.

3. Personal confidence.

My goal is to get at or below 162 lbs because that would give me a healthy BMI.

I'm currently at 202 and was blessed to have come down from 223 quickly after giving birth.

I also would like to be able to do 100 pushups, headstands, and handstands

I will support y’all both in prayer! Great job both of you! My fitness goals is to keep up with the kids at school. Lol. Diet may be something to look at, but I’m a picky eater. Just good health promotes good mental health in general

I'm not good at being consistent and part of that may have been hormonal. I just got on chaste berry to help with that.

But when I was consistent, I felt the best doing the 100 abs a day challenge. It really helped with the daily stuff like going up stairs without getting winded, bending down to grab things (can you tell I'm close to 40? Lol), and getting things done overall.

I need to get back to it. Any other program I just can't manage to stick to.

For about a month, Ive been taking beef organ supplements.

Ive noticed an improvement in hair growth (definitely no postpartum hair loss), not waking up on my own randomly anymore, and still having energy at the end of the day
.

My skin looks great and my nails seem to grow really fast now! I highly recommend them. I get mine from Amazon.

I've never been interested enough in makeup to learn to apply it but I do have a secret weapon of sorts.

It's a face moisturizing spray called D'alba white truffle spray. It leaves your face dewy and glowy. I use it everyday. Its really amazing. My cheeks shine as if Im blushing. I also get this from Amazon for about 20 dollars.

What's that?
Just a supplement that does something to my pituitary gland to regulate my hormones. (I don't understand it very well yet...)

Embarrassing, but I've had galactorrhea since I was 15 and one of the most common causes is a benign tumor in the pituitary gland. Whether that's the cause of mine or not, I don't know for sure but I know I feel better.

I don't feel as exhausted and I slept really well for the first time without sleeping pills. So for it only being a couple days that's good. I'm in a better mood than usual.

@Wynona Just a heads up for anyone in the future and since you asked, there is a side effect to this that I should probably mention that I found last night. Kind of randomly.

I have always sounded a little nasally, but the chaste berry is changing my hormones and now its changed my voice. It's very weird. Its cracking a little bit but it's slightly deeper. Not manly, just not as high.

Two days ago, I started tracking my cycle on an app called Ovia to be able to plan around my energy levels throughout the month.

For exercise, I enjoy a postpartum workout channel for strength exercises, dance workouts, and learning martial arts moves and sparring from my husband.

Last weekend we had babysitting and made it to the gym. That was a lot of fun.

Half the advice online says fitness and diet must be enjoyable and sustainable. Half says it must be challenging. I decided I would go for both.

I love the fun of dancing but also love pushing myself with strength training. Right now I feel pudgy and I cant seem to do a single pushup but Ill get at it till I get my gials done.

Maybe your testosterone is up? That can be good. That can give you more energy.

Very possible. I have more energy, and it seems like the voice either goes back and forth or it's not super noticable.

The energy is good but I feel a little bit more defensive. Someone was apparently lying about me regarding something, and I think typically I would be really hurt and sensitive towards it, but this time my attitude was more like ...

200w (1).gif

In very quiet passive aggressive, ladylike, I am way more mature and way more capable than you think, and I can do way, way better than playing these games- kind of way.

Ruminating and quoting Muhammad Ali in my head, "Imma show you how great I am." Lol

Imma go do my 100 abs to Andy Mineo's "You can't stop me" because I'm all riled up and need to channel that energy while I got it.

I definitely understand increased aggression. Thats the other side of increased testosterone. lol. Just now I realized Im overreacting to hearing that our roommate complained about me getting hibachi when I was busy.

I can relate to this! Luckily some exercise calmed me down and now I can worship.

"Unto Thee, O my Strength, will I sing; for God is my defense, and the God of my mercy."

I don't need to be in the ring. God can step in for me instead and give me peace. As long as we do right then God can stand in the way of the wrong doing. That's how I feel.

I was mad for a sec though.

Hormones. hlf

Helps every time

I have taken these off and on as well ...along with grass fed beef cartilage. I also use a "carnivore" (ish) product called "Carnivore Complete" by Paleo Pro. I use the chocolate and vanilla flavored and the ingredients are grass fed beef tallow, bone broth powder, egg white protein, powdered beef organ blend (liver, kidney, heart, spleen, pancreas), monk fruit, sunflower lecithin (plus either vanilla or cacao). I make a drink with this almost daily...usually adding some chocolate flavored grass fed collagen and whey powders with it. It's high animal fat and high protein ...close to a 1 to 1 ratio.

Ladies, don't shy away from animal fats ...even butter. You need cholesterol for hormone production and balance. Your brain is highly made up of FAT! You need it. Look at all the people nowadays with hormone imbalances and overweight. It's because everyone has been cutting the fat for decades ....and disease and weight gain has skyrocketed. Fat is the best and most sustainable fuel. It keeps you full all day and you don't feel like snacking.

I've been about 98% carnivore for a year and a half now. It has reduced my pain levels by at least 75%. (I still deal with "stuff" so some pain is going to happen.)

Anyway ...dropping the carbs to almost nothing has been a huge help for me.

Speaking of carnivore ...my skin became a lot smoother, and my hair stopped shedding as much, and now grows so fast I can't keep up with it. My hair stays at or below my waist. (I am 52 yrs old. lol) I trimmed 2 inches a couple weeks ago and it's still at my waist ...I didn't know hair could grow that fast! lol

I use grass fed beef tallow, olive oil, and essential oils on my face, neck, and hands. It works wonders.

Good filtered water, plus electrolytes .....adequate rest/sleep ....very important.

And don't forget eye care ...blue light blocking glasses are wonderful and help your body produce melatonin, too. Sunlight, bare feet on the ground as often as you can ....and JOY building! (The JOY of the LORD is our strength!❤️)

Found this product. Im planning to buy it!
Yay! It's delicious!! I mix it into water and about a cup(ish) of organic heavy cream or half and half. Half and half, or organic milk does add some carbs ...but not a ton if you consider you're using mostly water. I can get a low-temp pasteurized milk or low-temp pasteurized heavy cream at my local health food store. Heavy cream/whipping cream has no carbs. If I use heavy cream, I may use about 4 ozs just to give a creamy, milky taste.

Btw, it can also be used as a creamer in coffee if you have a good little stick mixer.

There is a brand of grass fed beef collagen/whey powder from a brand called "Just Ingredients" that I often add into that mix. It's not 100% carnivore, but still high protein and keto friendly.

Highly recommend castor oil. I tried it after listening to a woman talk about Biblical beauty remedies.

I take a 1/4 tsp internally from time to time and use it as an "Esther" beauty treatment. (I have regular skincare products but it's not really preferred.) Sometimes I add Myrrh and Frankincense to help with joint pain.

My natural body spray/"perfume" has frankincense in it. I have used both frankincense and myrrh in body sprays ... they're both anti-cancer, btw. I didn't mention castor oil, but I do use it in compresses, detox, and it went into the poultices I used for treating cysts. (I haven't had those in a good while since the initial oxalate dump after going carnivore.)

I use a lot of oils ... bloodroot and mistletoe are anti-cancer. I put those together with DMSO and CBD oil and a few others into a topical spray and treated two places on my skin that looked suspect. I had 2 moles that popped up next to the places where I had often been tased. (Not trying to steer the topic, but this is my life stuff I deal with.) The area they used a lot to tase me is the meaty part of the back/shoulder ... trapezius muscles. It's pretty common for that to cause moles. These popped up and they started to turn black. So I would apply this concoction on the areas on and around those moles, several times a day. Soon, they changed and ...one is now a normal color, and the other is completely gone!
