Don’t know what you mean, God “forgets” righteousness…??
We are clothed in the righteousness of Christ, as Born Again children..

Short commentary.

What is the meaning of garment of righteousness in the Bible?
The Bible calls this garment the breastplate of righteousness. (Eph 6 :14b). This means it covers one of the most vital organs in your body, the heart which is your spirit.

Do you not believe once Born Again always Born Again?

Hello Ritajanice,

Anyone can walk away, and say they want nothing to do with Yahavah/God will allow them to walk away. It's spoken of in the bible... that people have walked away even after having the holy spirit.

Hello Ritajanice,

Unless they walk away. I'm gonna walk away now, from you. Good-bye.
Sorry about that, I posted a post that is biblical.

OSAS is false doctrine and an excuse by it's adherents to continue living in sin.

Romans 11:22
Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, IF thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
Straw man argument. Also, you read Romans 11:22 out of context.

Hello mailmandan,

People can turn from faithfulness to becoming faithless. And it's not because that God didn't want to take care of them... It's because they chose to walk away... People who don't take in consideration of the whole bible, don't understand that. They just willy nilly believe whatever they want, or are told by others.

9 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.

10 Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.

11 So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)

12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;

15 While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.

1 John 2:19 - They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us.

Hello mailmandan,

Just because you posted another scripture to combat another scripture... That doesn't make sense... That is senseless. People say the bible is truth, and is the "word of God"... then, well was what I shared true or false? Doing this only causes confusion. Good luck with that, I rather stick to truth. People walk away... and Yahavah allows it. I don't seek for respect, or to be liked... the truth is just that the truth but if you don't wanna deal with that I can respect it. I'll walk away.

We don't disagree, Taken. If you still think we do, I encourage you to reread what I posted before. As I said, "you're both right, if both understood in the correct sense. There is no contradiction; this is the simultaneous "now and not yet" of the Gospel, of our salvation. In short, as Christians, we have been given eternal life in one sense (the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable, as Paul says in Romans 11), but in another sense we have yet to fully obtain it. But again, even in the latter sense, we will, without fail, because of the Spirit's work in us that as of now is ongoing. In either sense, though, if we are truly born again of the Spirit, our eternal destiny with Christ is absolutely secured."

Grace and peace to you.

Thank you.

Near…but not quite on the same page…

God bless you.

Glory to God,
Taken

Scripture must harmonize with Scripture before reaching a conclusion on doctrine. Notice in 1 John 2:19 - ..for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us.. Not might have but would have. In Psalm 37:28, we read - For the Lord loves justice and does not forsake His saints; They are preserved forever, But the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off. How long is forever? In Jude 1:1, we read - Jude, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to those who are called, sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ. In regard to being sanctified, in Hebrews 10:10, we read - By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. In Hebrews 10:14, we read - For by one offering he has perfected forever those who are sanctified.

In John 10:27-28, we read - My sheep hear My voice, (not some of them hear His voice and some of them don't hear His voice) and I know them, (not some of them He knows and some of them He doesn't know) and they follow Me. (not some of them follow Him and some of them don't follow Him) And I give them eternal life, (not some of them He gives eternal life and some of them He doesn't give eternal life) and they shall never perish; (not some of them will never perish and some of them will perish) neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. (not some of them will never be snatched out of His hand and some of them will be snatched out of His hand) His sheep have eternal security. In CONTRAST with those do not believe and are not His sheep. (John 10:25-26)

In Romans 8:30, we read - Moreover, whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. *ALL of them. Paul uses the past tense for a future event to stress its certainty.

In Ephesians 1:13-14, we read - In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory. In 2 Corinthians 1:22, we read - who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee. In 2 Corinthians 5:5, we read - Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee. In Ephesians 4:30, we read - sealed unto/for the day of redemption.

That is enough verses to suffice. Now if you still choose to reject the truth and walk away and remain on that roller coaster ride of fear and bondage to insecurity (the same roller coaster ride of fear and bondage to insecurity that I got off of upon my conversion when I left the Roman Catholic church several years ago) then that is your choice. As for me I will NEVER get back on the roller coaster ride! I have found that ALL false religions and cults that promote salvation by works strongly oppose OSAS which certainly is a major red flag for me.

Hello @mailmandan,

I can respect your skepticism and admire you for your decisions. None of that has to do with what was shared really. And that’s fine. Hope you all the best in Christ. I know I’m in a debate section but am not looking for debating, especially when it comes to the written records we have, sir.

I think we all need to understand, that every one of us is at a different level of understanding Gods word, only the Spirit can bring the word of truth to our understanding.

Just because we don’t understand like another,..does not mean that we aren’t Born Again.

Everything is in Gods timing, respect is key..took the Lord a long time, to bring that to my understanding.

I found holding onto pride, ego, was blocking me from hearing the Spirit..just my thoughts.

He knew that out of the multitudes, all whom the Father wanted would come to him.

Regarding "all whom the Father wanted..."
1 Tim 2:
3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior,
4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.

Salvation is Offered…ALL will NOT TAKE Gods Offering.

ALL SHALL SEE the Lord…and BELIEVE…(after the door to receiving the Offering of Salvation is closed)
