Even if you ask God, He will tell you, "No, you are wrong." What I am really referring to is that part of you and that part of the mentality, Well, you see, I just shared with you that thing that you cannot see, my heart, when I said those things.
And now, should I also say that you should be the one to repent, since you measured and judged me.
Many of my countrymen have this kind of mentality online. When you correct them, instead of being thankful, they will curse you right after praising God.
You see it that way because you are offended, right? I told you earlier that I was sharing my opinion on the matter you mentioned, and yet you're accusing me of playing word games? Oh, come on! Why don't you calm down first so you can think clearly?
Your judgment seems to have been clouded by what? Anger? You must have been offended then, as you fail to see that I am referring to the shared verse this time. I am not referring to you or any part of you.
The Bible is God's Word. I stick with Him.

It seems to have been called that, because it represented God’s right to determine what was “good” and what was “bad (evil).”
God is the only one who has the right to determine those standards of good & bad. No one else.
So, symbolically, the fruit ‘belonged’ to Him…. No one else.
Perhaps as a counterfeit. They stole it from us.

It has always struck me that Adam and Eve's not "knowing good and evil" before taking those fateful bites would be a defense to guilt in a court of law. Was the serpent right about that too?

Their actions broke a law (commandment) known to them. Therefore they were guilty by acting in full knowledge of the law. IMHO
On the other hand, I don't think they had any way of really understanding the consequences. Whether stated, or hidden.
What was death to them? And why were the full list of consequences hidden from them?
Was the threat of death any indication that they would be expelled from the garden?
Did it indicate that they would battle thistle and thorn to raise crops by the sweat of their brow?
Or the pain of childbirth? Or the immediate consequence of access to their minds by the enemy of our souls.

James 3:16-18

I also don’t typically use the word Christian but rather say I am a disciple of the teachings of Christ. Christian nowadays definitely carries a lot of baggage with it. Especially in America where so many associates it with the hate of conservatism, young earth creationism and general anti science and conspiracy theories and I don’t want to be associated with that at all.
Baggage ? That was not unexpected , even from the beginning .

Christian comes with a cross too .

You are misunderstanding the meaning of baggage. It’s ok, but you are not understanding the contexts of what was written. So the baggage is not the burden that comes with being a light to this dark world, being hated by the hateful. It’s the baggage of the injustices, the racism, the transphobia, the homophobia, the classism, the slavery, the KKK and so many other evil forms of conservatism that tries to latch into the term Christian. When I say baggage I mean people hearing the world Christian and thinking of
The Republican party instead of the body of Christ.
Here another way to out it.
When many black Americans hear Christian they often are think of European Americans with slaves being beaten and chained on ships. They think of the slave Bible and of the segregationist of men bombing churches and white hats gleaming in the bright light of crosses on fire.
When many indigenous people hear Christian they think of men spreading blankets with diseases, of land being stolen, treaties being broken and schoolyard graveyards filled with their kids.
When LGBT teens think of Christian they think of being called bigoted names, of being called unnatural or fake. They think of conversion camps and of pastors saying their dead friends are in hell. They think of being allowed to serve in the army, die for America , die for your rights but not able to get married to their partner and served openly, at least until “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” was appealed.
When vegans think of christian they often think of being told animals don’t matter, god put animals here for us to eat.
When immigrants think of Christian they often think of people on stolen land, who stole our land, telling us to get out, taking away our kids, calling us trash.
When liberals think of Christian they often think of those who fight tooth and nail to take away the consensual freedom and happiness of others.
When Palestinians think of Christians they think of support for bombs and bullets to rain down on them.
When scientists think of Christian they think of people rejecting science in favor of bad theology.
When those with compromised immune systems think of Christian they often think of anti vaxxers and people who care more about BBQs than about the elderly or those with aids.
So I want to avoid all that baggage. When I’m thought of as a disciple of Christ , a servant to the incarnation of a divine being of justice and love who said “ love your neighbors, don’t horde your wealth, don’t praise yourself for doing good, stand up for those suffering. Cloth the naked, feed the hungry and give drink to the thirsty. Look after orphans and widows.

I doubt you will escape this kind of thinking , at least from some people . Hard to control what people think one on one .
The Trump/Vance bumper sticker won't get you into heaven .
Ask the people you tell "I am a disciple of the teachings of Christ." what does that mean to you ?
I believe most people will think " Why didn't you just say you are Christian ? "
