What's your elevator speech?

How do you package the elements of the gospel message?

Discussion questions:
- What's your story?
- How did you meet Jesus?
- How were you transformed by that meeting?

Share a testimony of how you introduced someone to Jesus.

There is only one New Testament "Gospel" "in the time of the Gentiles" and we are in it, just before the Trib starts.

And that NT GOSPEL, came from Jesus, and was personally given , to the : "apostle to the gentiles"

This is Paul, who told us 3x that this Gospel is "MY Gospel" "and i received it from no man, because Jesus gave it to me, personally".

That is why Paul wrote Galatians 1:8.. that says if you preach Acts 2: 38, or if you preach that you have to be water baptized to be saved, or preach you must keep law or commandments to be saved, ect, ect, ect.....= any other Gospel, other then "the Gospel of the Grace of God" that is the "Preaching of the Cross, is the power of God, unto Salvation".. then you are preaching, teaching, sharing, a FALSE Gospel....Like Calvinism, or Hyper Calvinism.

Galatians 1:8

Thank you for your post!

It would appear the first two responders don’t know what an ”elevator speech” is.

The Apostle Paul had them ready to go when needed. Two example: see Acts 22 and Acts 24.

(Personally, mine is a bit rusty, so I will need to review the main points and emphasis. Back later.)

Over to you.

Blessings.

Or,
it could be that when you are dealing with someone's eternity, you dont need to be making speeches....as if all you can do is read the card, vs, deal with the person, in a loving way, then maybe the "speech" is a fail, better left unsaid.

Here is what we know, going in..

They are a "lost" sinner, and they are going to Hell., and we know that "Christ came to seek and save the LOST"..

So, how you bring them to The Cross of Christ to deal with their sin and current damnation, is multifaceted.

Paul said... this...so, we must also., in a way that allows the unbeliever to find Christ in their own heart.

Thank you for your response.

Ok, no speeches. What if someone, not hostile but a potential convert, were genuinely interested in your faith, your story, the basics? Assume they have never opened a Bible, and they might believe in God.

What would you say? (You only have a short time.)

Peace.

If they are "interested in my story" then i would share my Testimony.

If i only have a few mins, then i would use that to say......"ive enjoyed talking to you... would you mind if we prayed together, before you go... is there anything you want God to help you with"...

And in the PRAYER, as they always agree... i would tell them that God loves them, Jesus died for them, in the course of the Prayer....you put the loving God and that Gospel CROSS in them...in their hearing...... while we were asking God to help them find a job, or to stop taking drugs, or whatever it is that they have on their heart that is making them sad. And every unbeliever, adult and most Teens, are very sad about something.... as they are in life without any HOPE, as Jesus is the only HOPE there is...... .So...maybe their LIFE situation is making them crazy and depressed... so... we will take that to God in Prayer and leave it there.

And that SEED you just planted, gives God a way in... and He'll water that seed.

I almost daily sat in my bedroom at night crying out to God to save me, And never felt Gods presence or understanding.

One day I walked up to the frint of the church ans asked someone to show me

A deacon took me in a back room and gave me the gospel. walked me through the word.

This time I prayed and understood what I was praying for and why I needed God.

I felt Gods presence. and met him, I did not feel him before because it was just words. i did nto know what I was asking for..

I can honestly say that I wasn’t even thinking about God, The moment I became Born Again, I’ve shared my testimony many times, God brought me to initially believe in Jesus, then gifted me his supernatural faith, to believe in my spirit/ heart.,that’s where he permanently witnesses Gods truth to my heart/ spirit.

It blew my mind ,when the Holy Spirit was indwelling me, he testified with my spirit that I am his child...he spoke to my spirit, it was like a Saul encounter,

His Spirit manifested in my spirit, taken up permanent residence in my spirit.Spirit gives birth to spirit.

I am growing / maturing in Christ, just as he predestined me to do.

Forever becoming more and more like Jesus..why, because God’s Spirit took root in my spirit, and has been growing his Living seed in me, to become more and more like Jesus.

Jesus promised that He would send the Spirit to “be with you forever” (John 14:16). In simple terms, the Spirit is not merely a visitor to us, a vacationer within us, or even a temporary house guest—He is a resident. Whatever the address of your heart may be, that is where the Holy Spirit lives.
Dead to sin, very much Alive in Gods Spirit.

Thanks for your reply.
Were there circumstances that led up to your born again experience?
Were you raised in a non-church-going family?
What were your previous experiences with church? Weddings? Funerals? Baptisms?

I had never read a Bible in my life..on saying that, looking back, I did a lot of searching within myself.

My life was a mess, looking back again, God was drawing me to Jesus..God did it all, by the power of his Spirit.

He chose me and I had no choice in becoming Born Again.it was my destiny...chosen and predestined to be Born Again..I will also never deny how God made my spirit Born Again, 33 years ago.

My faith from and in God, just keeps getting stronger and stronger.

Just like his divine Son, was predestined to be the Son Of God,

Good morning, Walter.

Sorry, I don't understand. Fulfillment of the Old Testament?
How is that the gospel message?

[
Hi St Ste Ven, Maybe this may help, as myself I was discussing this issue with my wife, and she brought up Isaiah 40:3-5 KJV, John 1: 9-28 KJV, Luke 3:1-20 KJV. Please let us know after reading, ok?

Let's take a look.
If that's your elevator speech, we are talking about a VERY tall building. - LOL

Isaiah 40:3-5 KJV
The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord,
make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
4 Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low:
and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:
5 And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together:
for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.

John 1 19-28 KJV
And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou?
20 And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ.
21 And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No.
22 Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?
23 He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.
24 And they which were sent were of the Pharisees.
25 And they asked him, and said unto him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou be not that Christ, nor Elias, neither that prophet?
26 John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not;
27 He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe's latchet I am not worthy to unloose.
28 These things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing.

Luke 3:1-20 KJV
Now in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judaea, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of Ituraea and of the region of Trachonitis, and Lysanias the tetrarch of Abilene,
2 Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word of God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness.
3 And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins;
4 As it is written in the book of the words of Esaias the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
5 Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low; and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough ways shall be made smooth;
6 And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.
7 Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
8 Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
9 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
10 And the people asked him, saying, What shall we do then?
11 He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise.
12 Then came also publicans to be baptized, and said unto him, Master, what shall we do?
13 And he said unto them, Exact no more than that which is appointed you.
14 And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages.
15 And as the people were in expectation, and all men mused in their hearts of John, whether he were the Christ, or not;
16 John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:
17 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and will gather the wheat into his garner; but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable.
18 And many other things in his exhortation preached he unto the people.
19 But Herod the tetrarch, being reproved by him for Herodias his brother Philip's wife, and for all the evils which Herod had done,
20 Added yet this above all, that he shut up John in prison.

What's your elevator speech?

How do you package the elements of the gospel message?

Discussion questions:
- What's your story?
- How did you meet Jesus?
- How were you transformed by that meeting?

Share a testimony of how you introduced someone to Jesus.

The gospel means many things to me..gospel of the kingdom, Jesus death burial and resurrection, being Lord of my life, but the surprising thing was the book of Revelations saying this to Fear God which is missing in many christians:

Revelation 14:6-7 (KJV) And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

You asked “how did you meet Jesus?” By the Word.
You asked “How were you transformed by that meeting?”
Seeing I hated Him without a cause. seeing how I had and held a ton of misconceptions about Him.

you asked “Share a testimony of how you introduced someone to Jesus.”
That’s a hard question. I use to pray and plead and beg for my children. As if I had to introduce them to God and beg Him to receive and love them. I don’t know if it was God or my own thoughts, but it became clear I didn’t need to introduce my children to God, for God knows them better than I know them. And God loved them, before I loved them. If there was an introduction it came through my handing them over to the One who loves my children better than I do. He is and has been and will be a better parent to them than I ever was. His ways higher than my ways, and His thoughts higher than my own thoughts.

Okay, but how is that helpful to a prospective Christian?
