Yes, it takes the Holy Spirit's influence to enable us to believe in Jesus

The Holy Spirit, leads you to the knowledge, but He does not cause you to place your faith in Christ.
He reveals that Jesus is Savior, and He reveals our need of Christ., but that is His Limit.

The NT refers to this as "coming to the KNOWLEDGE of the Truth".

And from this revelation, the PERSON, decides to place their Faith in Christ or not.

Welcome to : Free Will

Its on you, and that is why God holds you accountable.

1 Corinthians 12:3New King James Version (NKJV) Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit.

Romans 8

King James Version

8 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.
34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Notice that the "predestination" is not to be saved, or to be born again.. its to be "conformed in to the Image of Christ , and that happens AFTER you are born again.
This is why Paul's Chapter, is talking to the already born again CHRISTIANS, and not to the unbelievers.

Yes, it takes the Holy Spirit's influence to enable us to believe in Jesus as the only way to the Father's acceptance. But the Father does not have a human body; neither does he live on an outer-space planet, the way the Mormons believe. Most of all, God is one, not three Gods, also the way they believe; he is one God in three Persons, as clearly displayed in the Gospel of John.
Amen.

Ephesians 1

English Standard Version

Greeting

1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God,
To the saints who are in Ephesus, and are faithful[a] in Christ Jesus:
2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Spiritual Blessings in Christ

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, 4 even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love 5 he predestined us[b] for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved. 7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, 8 which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight 9 making known[c] to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ 10 as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.
11 In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will, 12 so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory. 13 In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is the guarantee[d] of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it,[e] to the praise of his glory.

Thanksgiving and Prayer

15 For this reason, because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love[f] toward all the saints, 16 I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, 18 having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might 20 that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. 22 And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.

Short commentary,
Are people predestined to be saved?
We are elected to salvation not by our merits, but by God's unconditional love for us, His chosen ones. And those who were not chosen, who were not called, who were not predestined cannot and will not be saved(John 6:44). Does God choose who will be saved? According to Scripture, He absolutely does.

John 6:44

“No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.”

Who witnesses Gods truth to our heart/ spirit...this is the supernatural faith that God gifts us...his power is incomprehensible ....but, it has taken years and years for the Spirit to open its understanding up to me.

Yes, Jesus is Lord! He is my Lord, my Redeemer, my Friend, my Eldest Brother.

I can't wait to get to see Him in person, face to face. I love Him so much that my heart gets overwhelmed by Him, in Him.

He is my everything that I long for, to be with Him, to rule with Him, to be with Him when we join with our Father in the New Jerusalem!!!

What a fantastic hope set before us, like Jesus did when He endured the cross, was raised to life, glorified and given a throne to His Father's right hand side.

One day we will be there too!! In His very presence!! Woohoooo!

The thing I'm very excited about Rita is the reason He is choosing some and not others.

To reign with His Son, King Jesus for 1000 years.

Then beyond into the never ending ages to come where the love of God for all, including His enemies will be on full display for all to see.

What a God and Creator we have come to know and love hey.

Oh the potency and longevity of the blood of God's Lamb that will never ever ever lose its power! Cleansing, Renewing, Redeeming any offender who would avail His blood.

I can't wait til every enemy accepts the blood of the Divine Son of God and is reconciled to their Creator! What an event this will be. If the angels in heaven rejoice over 1 offender who repents, can you imagine what it's going to be like when every offender repents then bows before their wonderful Creator and worships Him Who sits on His throne.
