How would you know if you have haven't explored other religions?
On the contrary. That's not what I am about.
You left the church for a reason. I'm still there. What does that tell you?

Thanks for you detailed and thoughtful post.* So, yes IN choosing to exert my energy, I elected Christianity.
I haven't read this book, but my wife swears by it: Without Buddha I could not be a Christian : Knitter, Paul F : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet ArchiveThanks for you detailed and thoughtful post.
It seems that if a Christian explores other world religions at all, it is through literature with a Christian bias.
So, not really a step outside of Christianity. In this regard, Christians live in fear, for the most part.
This link below was provided earlier on the forum. Quite amazing.
I won't be abandoning my Christianity to become Buddhist, but this is
direct from the source with no Christian bias to get in the way.

Buddha's Miracles Manifest - Sravasti Abbey - A Buddhist Monastery
The Day of Miracles commemorates the time Buddha displayed his miraculous powers for 15 days. Many thousands of minds were transformed. Here's the story.sravastiabbey.org
If I was a betting man (I'm not) I would say that you probably wouldn't dare to read it.
Exceedingly few on this forum will. Because... fear rules Christianity.

While I understand your point... that is not why I have not read it. God works where He does and for His reasons. Who am I to question what is happening in the lives of others... unless He has given that to me as a task to do?![]()

Joh 5:3 | In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water. |
Joh 5:4 | For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had. |
Mt 7:22 | Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? |
Mt 7:23 | And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. |
That I made you angry now? Jesus is the one who draws a straight line with a series of crooked ones, and it does seem convoluted at times, but that's just something that we need to accept aout the Lord and chalk it up to we'll find out later! But you want to talk about all that stuff instead and there is a wrongness to that.
Ecclesiastes 7:13-14
13 Accept the way God does things,
for who can straighten what he has made crooked?
14 Enjoy prosperity while you can,
but when hard times strike, realize that both come from God.
Remember that nothing is certain in this life.../NLT

Scripture can be “confusing”…If one does not pay attention to the; who, what, when, why, where.
And yes, bit by bit, little by little “learning” and the “understanding” later…want YOUR mindful understanding…consult your own Mind….want Gods understanding….consult the Lord….intercessor…(less you are converted, then you have direct access to God in Jesus’ name)…

Jesus died to save us from a deadly inheritance, which was brought about through no fault on our part.@Instant wrote:

Did Jesus die to save you from God?
I should have "Taken" that bet. - LOLYou are welcome.
Most religions have a, not really sure what to call their “title” so to speak….but a stand out person whose teaching is pretty much about “behaviors” amongst men….that serves well in common practice whether or not as ‘religious’ schooling…
The Bible calls it…”precepts”….
it is aside from “laws, commands, statutes”..
Lending a hand, forgiving trespasses, being just when dealing with others, etc.
I think any religion a person is “exploring” would find those things attractive and gain interest.
Both God then later Jesus reiterated…on the topic of …”BELIEVE me because I say so”…
That is a tough one for a human…Men tend to believe what they can SEE, rather than HEAR…
God switched it up….here’s the deal….
God said what he WOULD DO…
Wait and SEE if it happens.
Jesus said similar…If you can not BELIEVE
“My words”…..stick around….”See IF you believe my works”….
Jesus was “ridiculed” for much He SAID….
And the people “amazed in awe” for what they SAW Him do.
God bless you.

You've said that before and it's dumb. It may be true for some but not for all. God has not given me a spirit of fear but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. (2nd Timothy 1:7)
Do not fear, fear not, be not afraid, do not fear are the most repeated phrase in the entire bible meaning it is very very VERY important to know this. Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will not fear for I am in Christ, and Christ is in me.
Fear dont rule me and I am Christianity. I am the donkey who has never been trained or carried a burden that Jesus rides to His triumphant victory. I may not know hardly anything but I am in Christ and abide in Him so it will not come near my dwelling. A thousand may die at my side and 10,000 at my right hand but it wont come to me!
I forget who but someone said once that fear is just an acronym.
False Evidence Appearing Real
Fear of the Lord is Reverence unto Him.
Fear of demons and men is being afraid.
A man IN Christ…is in-dwelt with the supreme POWER beyond what is in this world.
God bless you.
