Abide in Christ. Keep hearing Scripture out loud in your ears until it transforms you and sets you free. Jesus said if His words abide in us, we can stop being slaves to sin.

I was addicted to porn. I was only able to stop by listening to 1 John, 1 Peter, and James until that sinful stronghold was broken.

I do not think willpower would have stopped it. Its not "self-effort". It's abiding in Christ. Its his power that breaks chains.

But first we have to believe the chains can be broken. If all were told is that we never stop sinning, we won't have the faith to even abide in Christ.


Definitely true as long as the advice is true. Good thought. Some save with compassion, others with fear. I was definitely hyper graced to death. I wanted to hear both sides. I feel betrayed that I never did before reading the Bible for myself.

A far dire and more needful question must be asked . And i ask it to you and to everyone .
Are we resting in CHRIST or are we resting in something else . maybe an acroymn or maybe a false love that accepts sin .
YOU SEE if we are TRULY TRUSTING IN CHRIST , WOULD we not have been TRUSTING in all that HE said n taught

Once again, This speaks of true believers. not unbelievers or those who are not in the family of God

Again, This is NOT all folks (as you claim) but those who has porepaired these things, having the seal of the spirit. No believers or non children of God do not have this seal

Because we (not all folks like you claim, but those who are true children of God) will appear at the judgment seat (in the greek, this word judgment is BEMA, which is an awards ceremony, like they give to those who run the race which paul says we are all running this race.. as apposed to the great white throne judgment seat, in which the greek word is krino or a krino judgment, which is the kind of judgment used in a court of law. where people who are accused of a crime goes to be tried or judged, and if found guilty a sentence is passed on to them.. This sentence here of course is the second death..

I tired of being on the fence so I did something crazy....

I reread the Bible cover to cover with no assumptions about what it would teach. I was shocked to see so many verses aimed at believers about obedience, shipwrecked faith, and becoming dead indeed to sin. I was horrified that no church had ever mentioned hardly any of those verses.

I was not “raised” in a church. Did know of the “churchy kids”, and thought you pretty much had to “already know” before attempting to consider joining in. Mother talked about God and Jesus and she attended Church…Went a few times with her…Frankly was bored silly from the sermons and robotic rituals.

At home, two parent household, 4 siblings, DOING right was impressed and expected.

At school, had friends from all “clicks”…popular, unpopular, rich, poor, talented, punks, etc. no matter to me (regardless if other’s Liked them or not), not a poser to hide a friendship.

It was as a young adult…that Politics grasp my interest to read, learn, study our nations history and government intent established by “statesmen” and the methods and evolving into “twisting and turning into politics” and “corruption”…. Disgusting.

Then on a seemingly insignificant day of thinking and mulling over the hours spent ready, studying, Governments, going to law Libraries….A CLOUD of EMBARRASSMENT STUNG ME….why did I Not know more about the SOURCE of ALL things…GOD….and what He had to say about His Direction, His Teaching, His Guidance FOR His Creations.

And THAT…was a new beginning for me….AND the bonus…my spouse agreed and was on board for THIS new adventure…

Busied ourselves, “going to churches”…? No
Buying all kinds of books ABOUT religion? No

Buying several renditions of the Bible …? Yes
(Yes…from toddler, to student, to adult Bibles!)
Buying a Concordance ….? Yes
Committed to spending More time in Gods Word…exceeding the time spent in our Nations History..? Yes

Open “adult” Bible, intent to read cover to cover. Yes.
Dismal failure. Not like reading a novel.

Spent nearly One daily Year… relearning…HOW TO LEARN…(Gods order, Gods way…IN context applicability of who, what, when, why, where).

Spent next 5 years daily…hours and hours using multiple methods, ie. Specific topics studies, specific words studies, cross referencing, organized note taking, making charts, (who, what, when, why, where)…according to Gods order, Gods way, and ultimate truth…to who, who, who, and why, why, why.

The last one year of the 5 years was entirely on Revelations…the phenomenon of the recap, the how, from God to Jesus, to His angel to faithful John’s spirit to come up hither and SEE, up in heaven and down upon the earth…and then Write for mans benefit.

Like Jesus said…He the Son was on a JOURNEY…and on His Journey He accomplished His Mission to Glorify God.

It is my perspective, TO become Christ Like, requires the same for manKind…A Journey and Accomplish the Mission to Glorify God…
And have an expectation of LIKE Christ Jesus, to forever Be with the Lord God Almighty where-ever He is, so Also shall that man be forever.

The last one year of the 5 years was entirely on Revelations…the phenomenon of the recap, the how, from God to Jesus, to His angel to faithful John’s spirit to come up hither and SEE, up in heaven and down upon the earth…and then Write for mans benefit.

Like Jesus said…He the Son was on a JOURNEY…and on His Journey He accomplished His Mission to Glorify God.

It is my perspective, TO become Christ Like, requires the same for manKind…A Journey and Accomplish the Mission to Glorify God…
And have an expectation of LIKE Christ Jesus, to forever Be with the Lord God Almighty where-ever He is, so Also shall that man be forever.
