Look, I think it's demonic too; I just don't think it's a mock last supper. Let me ask you, what do you think all your rebuking is going to get you, except high blood pressure? And if you're that upset about it why don't you do something constructive rather than sitting around a Christian board preaching to the choir? Don't you think God knows how to deal with sinners? When was the last time you showed a little compassion to a LGBTQ+ person? Not lately I would imagine; that would violate your mandate to rebuke everything and save the world. I seriously think social media is making people a little cuckoo.

Not all the people on here are Christians and even the ones that are can have wrong theology/beliefs. We are to correct those in the church. And who says I don't preach/teach? I actually teach 2 Bible Study groups and have been for 12 years. I treat all people the same but when it comes down to speaking of sin, I will speak against it. I believe there is a difference between compassion and tolerance for sin. If the opening was a portrayal of Christ Jesus's death and resurrection, believe me the demonic would be causing an uproar with rioting and burning down of buildings.

I often rely on a thought experiment. Imagine if they did such a parody to some other demographic, such as Muhammad? Many in France would be killed by now. Arson would be commonplace. The Olympics, itself, might have to be cancelled. We all know this is true. So, why is it OK to do the parody of the Last Supper? One vid said demonic forces.

The simple answer is the Christians do not demand respect like the Muslims. Violence solves problems. Always has. Always will. Claims to the contrary, not withstanding. That humans EVER find a way to resolve conflict non-violently is a miracle we sadly abuse too often.

For those who are obtuse, no, I am not advocating violence. Isn't that a required statement now? This is not the ideology of the Christian faith! This is what it has become through feminization since the sexual revolution. No rewarding for abusers but believers. Love our enemies not the evil (it) they do. And fight back against injustice in a way that glorifies God.

We most certainly should fight back but how? One way I've found effective is to not focus on the evil doer but use his bad actions for good in bringing the right ideas to the public square - truth, justice and the dignity of even Christianity at Olympic opening ceremonies. One Pastor said there is nothing in the Bible that says you should tolerate abuse and Jesus is the ultimate example of masculinity in defeating evil. Tolerance is not a Christian virtue. I hope this verse inspires you to act for justice.

Countless martyrs of the faith have died since then and their blood cries out for vengeance against those who dwell on the earth. Like gathering storm clouds his wrath builds to be unleashed upon the earth.

I cannot get a news article to post over here, but I have just read an interview with the director of that ceremony and he explains that it’s not a depiction of the Last supper.

This is a quote after stating that The renaissance painting depicting Jesus last meal was not his inspiration. ‘ There Dionysus arriving at the table, why is he there? First and foremost because he is the god of celebration in Greek mythology and the tableau is called ‘ Festivity ‘ . So obviously that was his intention, but perhaps his mistake was in how he put it together with them at a long table ect.
