How do you hallow a name you can't pronounce?I think I know how it's pronounced, but I will not say and I don't tell others - I heard this theory that this person stated.. The problem is the Jews have not pronounced it for so long that they forgotten it. In my case, I got it as a dream. But dreams are dreams so that I don't want to sound Joseph-Smithish as having some sort of visitation, I admit I may be wrong so as not to spread something false. It's just that other evidence and circumstances made me personally wonder if I may not be right? Not sure. But back to not pronouncing it, Jews believe that just saying the Name risks one of breaking the third commandment, and I agree, even if it's really our name as well (if we are born of Him). So the Jews say, "HaShem" or, "The Name". Oftentimes they they replace the tetragrammaton it with Adonai (Lord or my Lord). We all can do the same.
lol Berean, Jesus wasnt teaching us to actively hallow a name. He said, hallowed be thy name. How do you hallow a name you can't pronounce?
Not that I can't, I won't lest I am wrong and lest it is used in a common manner. Even if God told me, I could have heard it wrong. LOLHow do you hallow a name you can't pronounce?
Yes HALLOWED be THY NAME .lol Berean, Jesus wasnt teaching us to actively hallow a name. He said, hallowed be thy name.
Jesus used , Father, and taught us to use Father which is an intimate relationship.
The idea the God's name is hallowed means that God would draw people to Himself by demonstrating His glory and power in the world. The context for the rest of the prayer is this desire for God to be glorified here on earth. In fact, the very next part of the prayer requests that.
"Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil"
HAL'LOWED, participle passive Consecrated to a sacred use, or to religious exercises; treated as sacred; reverenced.Yes HALLOWED be THY NAME .
hey anyone wanna tell me why anyone would HALLOW an event that honors satan and witchcraft and etc .
Cause that aint HALLOW , its EVIL .
perhaps evilween might be a far better word for a certain pagan unholiday that most churches pratice .
OkayHAL'LOWED, participle passive Consecrated to a sacred use, or to religious exercises; treated as sacred; reverenced.
Hallowed has nothing to do with Halloween
"In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name." - Matthew 6:9
Most translations use the term "hallowed"
Stick to the subject, don't hijack the threadOkay
but now the question is how many of us who call ourselves christain
are participating by dressing up and etc on that wicked satanic festival .
That be the far more important question .
As for me and any who names the name of JESUS THE CHRIST
dress not up on that day , dont try and decieve ourselves either by acting like its okay to do so

This thread ISN'T about Halloween, it's about God's name YHWH. Now if you want to discuss halloween or any other pagan holiday, start a thread.Visualize this next scenario as it will help .
