Here he goes again...same with Epi....the man has no self control!!!

No wonder threads get locked...when this man just doesn’t know when to zip his mouth.

All he wants to do is to keep adding more fuel to the fire!
PRACTICE WHAT you PREACH

You are quick to blame others when you refuse to acknowledge your own sin

If you can reread the post you made to me, and think those were not attacking words. then I can't help you. No one can.

Our ability or power to believe is our knowledge of hope. That we have eternal life.

there is no hope if we are tryign to earn eternal life, or it may be lost. Our focus must continue to be self ward, not Godward. Because we always have to worry, are we doing enough to make it? And redirect our actions.
That's the power (some of the power anyway) in this passage:

1 John 3:1-3 KJV
1) Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
2) Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
3) And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

Talk about a great and precious promise!

What is a promise? It is the promise maker's self commitment to fulfill what is promised.

Here, we are promised that when He appears, we will be like Him. What is so powerful to me, is having this certain expectation that I will be like Him when He appears, I find greater purity in me!

Knowing the end result hastens it's progress in my life.

There is no power in trying to earn anything from God. Or in thinking that our works, of any kind, are anything more than the duties of a slave, which we have failed to completely fulfill, and in our dereliction rely on our master's mercy.

The power is in believing God's promise.

Much love!

This sounds earily familiar. I begged god for over a year to save me from hell.. But I know I was not yet saved.. because I had not yet understood completely what it meant..
Now that I think about it. This was about the time I was going to a southern Baptist church and they showed us a movie called the gates of hell. Scared me to death. Maybe at ten …I think you nailed it as a little girl I only knew “please God keep me from going to hell!” That was heavy on my heart I’m sure not wanting to burn in the fire.
Interesting.

I think that was my issue, until I walked forward and someone took me aside and gave me the gospel. I too was afraid. and all of my praying had to do with that fear (Keep me out of hell)

I have been in and out also. of many churches, and as I look back. I was in and out of a relationship with God also.. I even walked away for 5 years. and went into the world (sex drugs and rock and roll were my fun)

one thing I do know. as I look back. God never left me.. I can see him working in my life to bring me back, even at my darkest time, in fact. he did what he had to and brought me to my knees, and at that very moment, placed my best friend growing up I led to Christ as a teenager to reach out to me,, And I responded and came back. (i had not heard from my friend in a decade) So I know it was God..
❤️
Amen, but also remember

Paul killed christians for a living, He did n0ot focus on his sin, or his past. but he always looked forward.. Thats what being forgiven is, As the word says, he puts our sins as far as the east is from the rest. Our sins and lawful deeds he remembers no more
I agree. But something that stands out to me. Just an opinion. I don’t want to be the man who looks and beholds his natural face, goes his own way(not God’s way), forgetting what manner of man he was. To me I think there is something very vital in not forgetting the manner of man he was …I don’t think Paul ever forgot which kept him rooted in…but for the grace of God here I go. I don’t want to be a forgetful hearer. It also makes me think of coming bolding before the Throne of Grace to obtain mercy in our time of need. It becomes troublesome forgetting his own natural face, and what manner of man he was…when he goes his own way. See…not continuing in, looking into the perfect law of liberty that transforms. Take a drug addict who’s been forgiven, not forgetting what manner of man he was …when another addict sets before him weak and broken how will he judge?

James 1:23-25 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: [24] For he beholds himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgets what manner of man he was. [25] But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continues therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

Look at this admin....he still has to keep the ball rolling...he’s the same with Epi and others..he does this all over the forum...he hounds members..if they don’t agree with his doctrine.

He started this argument I did not...he keeps accusing the brethren...then can’t deal with it when he gets back what he sows all over this forum.

That post was beautiful @marks!

I heard a few days ago that those who have recovered from cPTSD are going to be the ones that the world is seeking for in these times. I do believe that, going by the amount of growth in emotional intelligence I have seen develop in myself just in a few weeks.

I have been on the healing journey for 21 years now after an abusive marriage from which I had to flee for my life. I became a psychologist lol

But this last journey of a month or two is bringing out all of the effects of my childhood that I had not idea about.

I had my spiritual pathway well set before all of this though, taking me through parched deserts and hell often.

"I don't see the faith of Christ as something He withholds, rather, I understand that in becoming born again, we are united to God, that Jesus lives in us, actually sharing His life with us."

I did go though a time when He seemed to have deserted, though of course it was not so but produced fruit and I think Him for that time. We learn so much more from suffering than times of comfort. He truly brought me to the end of myself and I will never trust in my own understanding again.

These consolations are often withdrawn, and a state of desolation ensues, and then the passive purification of the senses begins.

How true this is and what a blessed thing to know it. Whenever I have a trial I only have to remember that God is never wrong, I have often been very wrong to keep me on the path.

He has shown me recently that cPTSD is actual brain damage that can be healed sometimes very quickly and that has been a great encouragement to me and to you I hope. Thank you brother.

I think he was talking about remembering our first love. we forget who we are in Christ.. Not about who we were before Christ. I think satan wants us to remember that person and all we did.. I know for me, when I do. I question myself and God. it can wear on a persons heart.
…I don’t think Paul ever forgot which kept him rooted in…but for the grace of God here I go. I don’t want to be a forgetful hearer. It also makes me think of coming bolding before the throne of God to obtain mercy our time of need. Hopefully he judges that other drug addict the way God sees him, A soul who needs saved.

We should not judge people for sin.. No one came to Christ because another accused him of person sin.. It is our love that draws people to God.
James 1:23-25 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: [24] For he beholds himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgets what manner of man he was. Yes.. And james was talking to even worse people. people who claimed to have faith. But never did a work..

We all should look inside. are we the lost who only claim faith. or have we been saved, and have the works to back our faith

I’ve been in conversations were it’s going back and forth and I want to say something in real life …something important to me about God’s word but the men are all bouncing their ideas back and forth so loudly I can’t get a single word in.
I want for you to know that many times I've read your posts with deep appreciation for your insights, and how they have led me to reflect in very profitable ways! Dark paths can lead to great light!

Much love!

Hey sis. If I am one of those people forgive me

I honestly do not thinking a thread being closed helps.. because the issue just moved to another thread. I wish there was another way we could encounter and try to stop these things
Forgiven! I don't always say the right thing and I haven't always sought peace on here.

The beauty of a forum is that we don't need to respond to anyone right away or at all or explain why we didn't. There's plenty of times I just file posts away to read much much later when Im in a better mood.

IIf our words don't get through to someone, it's not our job to keep trying at all costs.

Besides, if I see too much arguing, I might start singing The Lion King's songs really loud and off key and posting it... no one wants that.

And there we have it folks. She can do no wrong because she is born again.

so it is going to take something else for her to acknowledge her sin..
I posted my belief.

You have now twisted what I said?

I posted Gods word....not your word. ..I believe Gods word...a Born Again does not sin because they have been Born Of God’s seed.

Stop trying to ruin my character on this forum....who said I didn’t misbehave?

That is not sin...according to God’s word.

A Born Again does not sin because they have been Born of Gods seed.....

I get what you are saying. But still…I don’t know why or if it’s from God the desire to be loved or accepted within the body. I think yea.
Thinking in terms of health, yes! We are to be united to one another in the perfect bond of love, each one in their appointed place in the body, each contributing their portion.

Not having opportunity to function within the body of Christ is like tying your arm to your side so you can't use it. We want a fully functional body, and I think that's what Jesus intends for His body. Those who work against that work against Christ, and are building with wood, and hay, and stubble.

Those who are building the body by receiving and nurturing every part are building with gold and silver and gemstones, to make a beautiful temple!

Much love!

It continues.

I am praying for you Rita..

A born again can and does sin, If we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves

Now I pray you are not. nor you want to be deceived. so I will just leave you with those precious words of the apostle John.

If yuo do not want to listen to me, That's great you do not have to, nor have I ever tried to force you to.

But please listen to John.. He is alot smarter than I will probably ever be. and he walked with Christ! face to face

Leave me alone!!!

Stop forcing your belief onto me!!

Stop with your antagonistic posts.....leave me alone!!!...reported ..I’ve had enough of your over dominant behaviour on this thread...

I do not and will not!!..ever agree with your understanding of doctrine...it’s skewed imo.

A Born Again does not sin.....don’t rebuke the word of God!!

We have been Born Of God’s seed.....don’t keep telling me I’m not...because I am!!!

Plus you don’t even know what it means to be Born Of God’s seed.....you can’t even explain it!

Stop forcing your doctrine onto me and others...I don’t force my belief onto you!

For the benefit of the forum @Eternally Grateful ...you ignore my posts and I will ignore yours.

We will never agree....so it’s best we ignore each other’s posts...I hope you agree with this suggestion...it will make the forums life happier and also our own...

@marks is this it?

As part of my recovery from childhood trauma, I have come across a coach called The Crappy Childhood Fairy, and she does courses on looking for a partner which I may get myself as she seems pretty wise about romantic relationships.

I have decided that I will look for a husband as I continue to heal, something I never imagined I would do because I am in my 70's. But I have no family to speak of and need someone to love and be loved. I have never had a Christian husband before, and imagine that it must be wonderful to have that to share. I am praying like you that God will have someone for me.
I've been married to my wife for 35 years now. She and I have much in common, and we are both in this deep healing process. I cannot imagine how I'd have survived without her! We've been able to give each other much understanding and help over the years. It's not the easiest life, but there are worse! I pray God will bring you to someone with whom you can share this life, and the joy of our Lord!

I've seen that website before, I haven't looked at much of it so far.

I've gained significantly from reading Dr. Daniel Amen's book, "Your brain is Always Listening". He has a lot to say about the narratives in our minds that were formed within the traumas, and how to shut them down today.

Much love!

If we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves and there is no truth in us

If we sin confess that sin

If we say we have never sinned…

These are words if John the same John who spoke of people who live in sin saying they have never seen god. For whoever is born of god can not live in sin

Eg is not attacking Rita. Eg is doing what he has done when he met her and trying to help her. I have emails where Rita said she was so glad God brought me into her life. She is learning so much

However I dared to question her view on John 3 so acting out of emotion she attacks me every second she gets

Rita. I still love you and still car. I just want to help uou

Again take what you will. But I have never seen so much hate come from a child if God than you have for me

It’s sad

You do not understand Born Of God’s seed?

In your spirit?
Explain what it means?

No one said we weren’t without sin....our sin is forgiven and on Christ.....we have received the Living seed of reconciliation....a Living divine visitation/ spirit/ heart revelation.....when we were Born Of God’s seed...His witness the Living Holy Spirit....only he can testify Gods truth to our heart/ spirit...

Admin I will leave it to you to sort out....I’ve asked him that we ignore each other....
