Hi! Good to see ya!The last one I got came from Ollie's Discount Warehouse.
.
Me too!!! I got a super large print bible from the one in Florida!!!!Wow!The last one I got came from Ollie's Discount Warehouse.
.
I've met regular church-goers who believe the Bible is a collection of myths, legends, religious fantasies, and entertaining fables.
Exhaustive is to be understood in terms of what God has deemed necessary to communicate through the written word, not implying all that has transpired.
Careful...Yes agree.

That would mean that God doesn't communicate extra-biblically. No visions, prophecies, words of knowledge, words of wisdom, etc.

The Bible is a book fraught with confusing scripture that we try to apply our human logic to - without ever learning about the culture of the people of Israel and their customs and often used terms in language. In short, we are doomed to error without the effort to "diligently seek Him" to understand. We should be helping each other and not try to be "the guy" who can urinate the farthest.
Why not just read one or 2 books in that 66 book collection? Reading 66 sounds exhausting to tell the truth. And what did you say... next please!Trying to read all the books in the world would be exhausting. Next please!
I like to think I am familiar with every book in the Bible, having read and studied them all. Next comment. Why not just read one or 2 books in that 66 book collection? Reading 66 sounds exhausting to tell the truth. And what did you say... next please!
I was wondering who originally came to this conclusion?Exhaustive: These 66 books cover a wide range of genres, including history, poetry, prophecy, letters, and apocalyptic literature. Together, they provide a comprehensive account of God’s interaction with humanity.
I was wondering how familiar we are with God speaking His words, communicating His thoughts to us beyond the shorter 66, 73 or little more extensive 81 books of the bibles?I like to think I am familiar with every book in the Bible, having read and studied them all. Next comment.
Wow! Fantastic post.I was wondering how familiar we are with God speaking His words, communicating His thoughts to us beyond the shorter 66, 73 or little more extensive 81 books of the bibles?
Personally, over the past few years my diet, as it were, has not include the bible. I have fed on what the Spirit has to offer me.
I have grown to love my Father in heaven and His Son Jesus more and more as They have been revealing Themselves to me over this time.
Yes, I wanted to put my Father in heaven first above anyone and anything. The hardest thing was when I realised the bible became more precious than seeking to know the Spirit Who God the Father had put in me, to take possession of me.Wow! Fantastic post.
Put the books aside, including the Bible, and seek a personal relationship with the author.
To be clear, the Bible is helpful, but eventually it just gets in the way.
An opaque paper book makes a terrible lens. - LOL
When the Bible eclipses God, it's time to put the book down!

Wow!After repenting of this worship of the bible, I turned to the Living God within me. It has taken a time to get familiar with Him and in developing a relationship with Him I have a bit of a clearer experiential knowledge of what Jesus was saying about the Spirit of Truth leading us into truth.
Also, what Paul said about the children of God are led by the Spirit of God.
To be clear, the Bible is helpful, but eventually it just gets in the way.
That seems like an over-reaction to what I meant.Right there is serious error...
With His Spirit, the Bible is His appointed, essential source of Truth.
Yes, direct revelation is a rich resource, but Scripture is an essential moderator.

"Right there is serious error..." - Carl EmersonOur relationship with Him is gauged by our relationship with His inspired writings.
Loose the love of His Scripture and you are searching for treasure without a map.
