That's what I was wondering if Hazelelponi is a part of the NAR cult
Don't ask him his gospel.. He does nto get that right either. No I am not. If that's your question.
And individual Christians actually went overseas, without any US military involvement, to serve with the Brits in fighting against Hitlers advance when our own government refused to get involved.
But, you saying automatically that those men and women were not Christian because they chose to fight against Hitler tells me all I need to know about you.
Honestly it does. That's all anyone needs to know about you.
Apparently in your mind, someone can sign up to fight for a secular government, and fight in any old war that government decides is right and that's okay, but if they allow the Holy Spirit to guide them and choose to only fight in a war that they believe is just then it makes them a non-Christian...
Yep. That says everything I need to know about you.
If you are curious about my faith, you can sign me onto the ***1689 London Baptist Confession of faith for my beliefs. I'm sure in your mind that's a non Christian too... lol .. you are perfectly free to join the Catholics in declaring us anathema, though God might have something different to say when all is said and done... Everyone loves to hate Baptists I guess.
*** Not that I attend a confessional church or anything, but I have gone through that confession and agree with it. I would have no issues with joining a 1689 confessional church.
I understood the point you were trying to make. Ordinarily I don't believe there is anything wrong with casting a vote and handing out flyers, as long as your conscience is clear. But when people tell me they are emphatically "very enthusiastic" about DT, it worries me for their sake. There is a general fervor surrounding him that is not ordinary - it's like a cult. To me the issue isn't about whether to vote or not, it's about where our hearts are.Did you, though, understand what I was saying?
Much love!

I think Christian soldiers went to fight mostly because they were ordered to do so by their government and they obeyed and hopefully conducted themselves in an honourable manner for His sake. And it was a just cause. As long as nobody conflates physical fighting with the faith of Christ, they are ok. It is the conflating of carnal methods and weapons and institutions with the faith of Christ that is the problem. That is a mindset that leads to the mixing of state and religion and the oppression that comes from it. Bible says we are to discern between the holy and the profane (common). But, you saying automatically that those men and women were not Christian because they chose to fight against Hitler tells me all I need to know about you.
Yes I agree that is odd. There was a time was when character mattered very much to Christians. And you passed over by a big margin someone who seemed like a better choice who didn't come with all the problematic scandals and character baggage. That struck me as odd too. It shows us something if we are willing to see it. When you see odd things that don't make sense, it signals there is something spiritual going on beneath the surface. It's not a cult-- it's rather an old-fashioned notion called popular support. Folks like him, not for who he is as a person, but for what he does as a President. He disrupts. People recognize that Washington is broken and corrupt and more than anyone else anywhere-- the swamp creatures of Washington loathe and fear Donald Trump. He makes them very uncomfortable and that's a good thing.
Odd though it seems, folks can support a man whom they might find personally distasteful if he is personally effective.
Just want to say this in response. What it is.....is exactly what it is in any individual's heart. Whether "cult" and idolatry, or just something innocent. We need to individually examine and guard our hearts.......because from where I sit, in a general overall sense what is happening here is not looking good for most generally. It's not a cult-- it's rather an old-fashioned notion called popular support.

As long as it is not talking about being strong in ourselves, brother.Strong people make for good times.
Good times make for weak people.
Weak people make for hard times.
Hard times make for strong people.
Much love!
Well, I've stuck my neck out and given what I'm discerning.....out of love for grassroots Christian America. People will do with it what they will.Hilarious. People can disagree with your opinion without jeopardizing their souls. That is-- folks can have their own opinions, just as you have yours. Don't think so much of your own.
Focus on Canada..... (where your opinion and your vote matters) ---it's become horrible simply because it needed a Trump but got Mr Dress Up instead.

No, Canada's situation is horrible because the church in general has lost its moorings here, much as it has in the United States. Does the bible say we're wrestling with flesh and blood or with powers and principalities? It's looking as though we will be getting a reprieve in the next election, but that's all, just a reprieve.....and I think it will test our hearts much as your political situation is testing your hearts in America. I pray by the grace of God that I will not make a messiah out of a politician. There but for the grace of God.....
I got your tone loud and clear brother. I'm not being critical or judgmental here. We are our brother's keeper and sometimes it is hard to see the forest when we are surrounded by trees, so it can be helpful to get a perspective from someone outside the forest. We are to watch each other's backs, in other words. You feel free to help us hapless Canucks out too, because we sure do need help here.Even IF Trump thinks of himself as a messiah figure-- that wouldn't make him one. So have no fear.
Secondly-- I'll say again, because you seemed to have missed the point. Americans don't think or care about what Canadians think about their politicians.

I was very enthusiastic about Ronald Reagan also. No, I'm not "cult of Trump", which is more a derogatory term from those against him. He's the greatest president I've seen in my life, and maybe he's among the greatest the US has known.I understood the point you were trying to make. If you are curious about my faith
It's because of this stupid infighting.
It is the conflating of carnal methods and weapons and institutions with the faith of Christ that is the problem. That is a mindset that leads to the mixing of state and religion and the oppression that comes from it. Bible says we are to discern between the holy and the profane (common).
It's just a general saying, and I think it applies in general. No, I'm not preaching self-reliance.As long as it is not talking about being strong in ourselves, brother.
Amen! We're not called to change the world, but to rescue souls out of the world through the gospel. As per the example of Noah and the ark. The world is appointed to wrath and there's nothing we can do to change or prevent that.Yep! Christians are not called to take over the world for Jesus as some suppose.
What about those who say, or even imply, mean and untrue things of others? Is that more interesting?I'm, not interesting in anyone's "faith" that enjoys going out and killing people
