So those who are saved in the end were not elected?

Be interested to hear your view.

Calvinism teaches that Jesus Christ Died only for a few, that is the "elect", and that the rest of the BILLIONS of the human race are DAMNED, because they were NOT part of God's Redemptive Plan!

John 3:16-18 DESTROYS this HERESY, as it shows Gods GREAT SAVING LOVE for the WHOLE human race, that WHOSOEVER is FREE to come to Jesus for salvation! Luke 22 is very clear that Jesus Christ gave Judas the bread and wine, that represents His Body and Blood, and told even Judas, that His Blood was to be shed for his sins!

This is the ONLY True Gospel Message

TULI of TULIP is DESTROYED by the little passage in John chapter 3

Amen!

So far we have determined @Patrick1966 @quietthinker @St. SteVen believe that unbelievers and the ungodly will be saved and given the reward of immortality which is eternal life.

This thread should be locked and deleted.

'should, locked and deleted', hmmm; control issues are manifest F2F,.......and your determinations are faulty.....and as far as 'we' goes, did you have someone in mind?

He wants a forum wherein only his views can be expressed. The political left and religious right are similar in how they want to annihilate speech. Thankfully, management here is tolerant of expression. If F2F were in charge, this place would shrink by 80%.

You see @St. SteVen , they say that Christ won't save everyone from forever Hell and when you give them GOD'S WORD to the contrary, they reject it and then call US heretics. Even the elected are misled and deceived by Satan and his minions.

Amazing.

so you believe there is a HELL? so WHO is going to be in it???

WHY does Jesus Christ mention HELL, GEHENNA, more than any other person???

WHY does Jesus Christ use WARNINGS about HELL in the Gospels

WHY does Jesus Christ describe HELL has a place of ETERNAL CONSCIOUS SUFFERING???

WHY did Jesus Christ tell Judas, that it would have been BETTER if he were never born???

ANYONE who hold to the HERESY that at the end time, ALL will be in heaven, are 100% DECEIVED by the devil himself, and make Jesus Christ, Who is Almighty God, to be a liar!

These are Biblical FACTS, not HUMANISTIC LIES!!!

Hello @ByGraceThroughFaith, the bible is such a joy to read. It's amazing experience that people should really go and take the walk of faith, and read "what is considered boring to some." Thankful someone came in my life and told me about the Parables of Jesus, and then gave me a bible. Slowly overtime, I got through the gospels and the rest of the narrative of the new testament. It's vital to the staying rooted in faith and in Christ. All the best, people are gonna choose and believe what they are gonna do. There are also those whom are mentally challenged, or perhaps autistic (not saying anyone here is) just generalization of truth as people with these challenges are able to use the internet. Found out not to long ago that even the founder of CARM, is a high functioning autistic person.

While people may choose and believe and reject most all the notions of the bible, or heap to themselves upon "man"ipulators all one can do is point out what is wrong but if they don't listen after awhile you have to let go, and let God deal with them, and you continue to move forward, in your own individual life, friend.

All the best,
Matthew

Can you speak to the text so I can better understand your basis?

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. John 3:16-18

I have highlighted in red the condition of being called and elected.

When you respond can you confirm if you believe God calls people to His Gospel? I understand you don't believe Peters words re election, correct me if I am wrong.

Therefore, brothers, be all the more diligent to confirm your calling and election, for if you practice these qualities you will never fall. 2 Peter 1:10

I've highlighted the "calling and election" which speaks to "those who believe in him" shall not perish - those who don't believe perish, which is the implication of John's words in John 3:16-18.

So I'm interested in how you remove Election from Peter's words and how you make unbelievers qualify for John 3:16-18

Admit to wanting this thread deleted.
Having it moved was all they could muster, which I guess is something!
"we" are those who understand the error you promote.
Hope that helps!

---- NOTICE -----

This topic was relocated to "the appropriate forum". ????
Not my doing. (Grr...)

So, Christian Universalism has been declared as "unorthodox" now?
The religious equivalent of racial segregation and bigotry.

my answer is in the link I posted

If, as it is argued by some, that Christ only came to save the “elect”, then why would any mention ever be made about Him coming to “condemn”, or “judge” the “elect”? These words have no meaning at all, if they are meant to be for the “elect” only. There would not be any reference made to any judgement or condemnation of the “elect”, as this is something that is not at all even a possibility. John 5: 24 says:

Paul covers this in 1 Corinthians 11:32

But when we are judged by the Lord, we are disciplined so that we may not be condemned along with the world.

It is clear Paul is speaking to the Church members at Corinth, what is your understanding of those in the World who will be condemned?

How do you see this?

So these members have obeyed John 3:16-18 and are trying to make their calling and election sure so that they are not condemned with those who reject Christ.

I don't see any connection between what Paul is saying, and John 3:16-18

The latter is the Gospel for ALL lost sinners, who, IF they were to accept Jesus Christ as their Saviour, will have eternal life, and not be condemned with those who reject this Gospel.
