Here is a challenge to you. Tell me which one of these is incorrect:
God gives life
God is ALL Powerful
God desires all to be saved
God does nothing in vain
God knows the end from the beginning
God doesn't fail
Because if you believe all of those are correct then all men shall be saved - just as your Bible says they will be.
The man picking up sticks ironically teaches you a valuable lesson then, doesn't it?
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you,
not wanting anyone to perish, but
everyone to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9
Apply the above verse to the man picking up sticks and lets see where it takes you!~
A verse which comes to mind for
not wanting anyone to perish is
"In all their affliction
He was afflicted . .." (Isa 63:8-9).
His careful attention that not one righteous one should perish is illustrated by the parable of the wheat and the tares. I'm sure you know it? The householder is represented as giving instruction that care must be exercised “‘No,’ he answered,
‘because while you are pulling the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.” (Matt. 13:29).
You see, it is more important to save the righteous than to condemn the wicked! I'm not sure how this reality fits in with your set of beliefs?
God's desire that all may be saved, not His inexorable will that they shall be! He has provided adequately for all needs (John 3:16), but few avail themselves of this offer.
