Florida just passed legislation allowing medical professionals (even those in emergency rooms) to refuse to treat anyone they identify as LGBT
Idaho is working on doing the same for psychiatrists and therapists.
Arkansas just passed a law bringing back segregation. Business there can now legally refuse to sell or provided services to LGBT individuals

But i am going to guess you don't count such things as discrimination.

My wife and I have a mutual agreement that we practiced ever since we first started dating. "NO PDA's" This acronym stands for "No public displays of affection." Zoe, because of her love for the Lord, is very modest. And it makes her uncomfortable if I should give her a long kiss while we are out in public. We don't even hold hands while we walk together. But in private, where we are alone together, this is a different story.

Not only this, Zoe is wise concerning the man/woman dynamic. She knows that apart from her intent and without her even being aware of it, men are attracted to her beauty, simply because she is a woman. And out of a deep sense of respect for other people, she does everything she can to avoid being the temptation for another person. She dresses modestly and wears little make-up. She never draws attention to herself, except with her kind and generous demeanor.

I believe the public would appreciate it if certain groups of people in our society would also mutually agree to "NO PDA's" Keep intimate expressions of love intimate. Maintain the distinction between public and private. Don't perform drag-queen shows at school, for instance. Wear modest clothing. And please don't reveal your breasts at the White House.

Again, statistics must be interpreted. Maybe it isn't abuse at all. Sometimes tough love is necessary. Sometimes intervention is necessary. Sometimes kids need to learn to obey parental guidelines. Some kids need to learn to respect authority. And some kids have been indoctrinated into a cult. Sometimes a child needs to be removed from the home when the child makes it uncomfortable for the other children.

In other words, sometimes suffering is self-inflicted.

Herein lies the problem. Like all liberals, you believe that people are fundamentally good by nature and therefore education is the key to happiness, well-being, and human flourishing. Because you hold this faulty worldview, you believe that problems can be solved through public protests, passing out leaflets, public service announcements on the radio and TV, and propaganda in the news, movies, and TV shows. Teach a person the right way to live and that person will live righteously.

As I say, how is that working out for you? Not very well I imagine.

I maintain that human beings are fundamentally bad and need moral training. But in the end, the only solution to human depravity is spiritual enlightenment. Parents who abuse their children don't need to be educated, they need to REPENT, and seek God's mercy, who is more than willing to save the penitent.

Your worldview doesn't make allowances for spirituality does it? I don't know you. So I wouldn't presume to know.

All I know is that during the late 1890's America witnessed a movement called "liberal Christianity" wherein anything to do with the Spirit of God was rejected including miracles. The so-called liberal Christians dedicated themselves to social causes, but without acknowledging the fundamental aspect of humanity and the problem of sin, liberal Christians have done more harm than good. Liberal Christians are the least qualified to help people.

I recall a case not long ago where a 10 year old boy came out to his family and was imprisoned by his mother and her boy friend in a dog kennel for day without food and water removing him from the kennel to beat him. Eventually mom called 911 claiming that he fell. He died hours later at the hospital, he had 18 broken bones, multiple cigarette burns and apparently cause of death was brain trauma from a blunt object, possibly a baseball bat.

But obviously that was just "tough love" and everyone should remember that he brought it on himself when he came out. So his suffering was his own fault.
