Just put aside the wider aspect of the topic for the minute and read those scrips about the Lord's supper for yourself, sister. They are simply not talking about what Behold is saying they are. He's trying to make them fit his doctrine rather than just taking them for what they are simply saying. It's sin in itself to gobble down the bread and wine of the Lord's supper as food to satiate the flesh (unworthily) rather than for the purpose Jesus instituted it for.I suggest you do the same,Sister.
The word of God...to his Born Again Children....those who have been birthed in the Spirit.
Verse (Click for Chapter)
King James Bible
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
New King James Version
Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.
American Standard Version
Whosoever is begotten of God doeth no sin, because his seed abideth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is begotten of God.
Berean Study Bible
Anyone born of God refuses to practice sin, because God’s seed abides in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God.
Douay-Rheims Bible
Whosoever is born of God, commmitteth not sin: for his seed abideth in him, and he can not sin, because he is born of God.
English Revised Version
Whosoever is begotten of God doeth no sin, because his seed abideth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is begotten of God.
Once again you are putting your OWN SPIN on what the Bible actually says. So we should say "Behold the Spin Doctor!" There is absolutely nothing in 1 Corinthians 11 about "self righteousness" (your own invention). And that is because you have consistently refused to acknowledge that the Bible says that Christians can and do sin and must deal with their present sins. Therefore Paul admonishes the Corinthians (and all Christians) to examine themselves before partaking of the Lord's Supper. Self-examination means dealing with present sins. You are to examine yourself to make certain your Faith is in Christ.... and has not slipped into "self righteousness".
Kind of strawman stuff, but that's alright. We were not "Pre-destined" to be elected. We were pre-destined to be CONFORMED, into the image of Christ.
What is "pre-determined" in the Fore-Knowledge of God, is that the born again are pre-determined to be conformed into the Image of Christ.
That's what is "pre-determined" to happen to the elect.
The Born again Spirit that is "in Christ" down here, that is in a body that is going to the grave, is going to be changed into the image of Christ up there, and that is pre-destined" to happen to the Elect.
God's Fore-Knowledge SAW this about every believer, (Elect), before they were born., as its "pre-destined" to happen. We WILL BE CONFORMED into the Image of Christ.
I encourage you and Ritajanice to just read the scripture as written and let it speak to you, rather than letting you trying to insert your doctrine into it, which it isn't saying.

Amen! In my 10 + years as a member of multiple Christian forum sites I have quickly learned that there are genuine Christians and there are "nominal/pseudo" Christians. There are genuine believers and there are make believers and it may not always be so easy to tell them apart at first.Just because this is called a "christian" site does NOT make all attendees such !
Except unfortunately those believers who took/take of it UNworthily and were/are sick or falling asleep. And how do we know they were/are born again believers...? Because they were/are "falling asleep" rather than dying.Do not take communion if you do not Discern that the Lord's Body (Sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross) always makes you worthy to take it.
We are to remember His sacrifice and discern His body for our SINS, with a penitent and grateful heart.
Except that is not what those scriptures say without ADDING anything to them. Those folks were being greedy and gobbling down all the free food which was supposed to be a shared love feast and the Lord's supper while selfishly leaving their poor brothers/sisters to go hungry while not discerning the Lord's body and blood in the bread and wine (they were treating what is holy as common/profane, which scripture says not to do). AKA they were clearly sinning. That's what those passages of scripture are actually telling us.If a believer does not understand that The Cross of Christ, has taken care of their Sin, then they will Take Communion, "Not discerning the Sacrifice of Christ" (His Body), so, in that case they are taking it "unworthily".

You are teaching people how to avoid the cross....as your OP states.Im doing it now.
Making a FALSE ACCUSATION against sound Bible doctrine and calling it "Legalism" is not only silly but it is a sin. It is also self-righteousness. You have manufactured your own theology and you will give account for twisting Bible truth. But, im not interested in "old theology" that is created by Legalsim, 150 yrs ago, that you believe.
