What I see in this individual is an inner man basically on life-support. His outer man is like a drunken hillbilly of sorts that lashes out at any and all perceived threats to that inner "lamb". There is no focus at all in his outer man...it just thrashes about willy-nilly like a drunken man...who is convinced that by slashing about he is indeed protecting his inner "lamb."

There is no discernment here. Just a vain repetition of slogans for fear that the poor inner lamb will be lost. And with its loss..so he too will be lost.

What this person doesn't realize is that the outer man is already condemned. All the "lamb" protection is just a mere self-preservation. The lamb doesn't need protecting...not by the flesh anyway...the lamb needs to grow up and push aside the hillbilly...by faith in an act of the will.

The "lamb" needs to get off life-support...and start standing up against the wild drunken hillbilly of an outer man.
Unbelievable. This kind of low-blow nastiness and insult is pure flesh...it is not of God. And you call yourself a Christian.....and holy at that. Your other accusation against this brother is also not of God, it's just obvious lashing out, out of vitriol.....it isn't even how the Lord would lead someone to deal with a problem like that in a brother, accusing them in public like that.

Religious twaddle. :) No one here has any sense of humour. You take yourselves WAY too seriously.

And you, bible lady...could it be?.....Satan!!! ???

Always ready to religiously condemn...that shows who you are.

Preach the gospel at all times and if necessary use humour.
What is funny about falsely accusing people? Aren't you a grown-up?

What you wrote wasn't funny. Nor is it funny that you fob it off as a joke.

As I've been saying, everyone reveals themself in their words. Well, more like, what Jesus said, out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

James said the one who can't control their tongue, it defiles their whole body. But he also wrote that the one who doesn't offend in word is able to bridle their whole body.

Have you considered that learning to control your words gives you that same control over your body? I think that the spiritual discipline by which we overcome sin has it's toughest battle in our words. So that as we become disciplined in our words, that discipline also applies to our actions.

Much love!

Humour is needful to counteract silliness. A joke is a well crafted set of words. When someone takes themselves too seriously....it's better to diffuse that with a joke...than to get all religious, and get faux offended.

I don't take people seriously here for the most part. I think the fact that so many do...is quite funny.

Have you ever laughed at a joke...ever? Is your face made of stone? Do you ever smile? Or does your religious veneer make you scowl...as I imagine you are doing right now? Do you think only children tell jokes. I joke with my grand-children all the time.

To me the lack of grown-ups here is the very reason I resort to jokes.

I have said it before ...I can't take very many of you seriously. Too rapt up in self-righteous posturing to be taken seriously.

So you tell someone that you think they have homosexual attractions to lighten the mood?

:(

And now you defend it to the hilt. Speaks volumes. Better to just acknowledge and move on.

Much love!

More faux outrage. Are you afraid that your outer man will be found out?

Look how easily you get outraged and offended. Now look at the parable of the sower and see what that corresponds to in depth of soil. Learn of your true condition.

One honest man in a room of pretenders sure causes a lot of panic.

"'We played the flute for you, and you did not dance; we sang a dirge and you did not mourn." We tried reasoning with you and you scoffed. We tried being light-hearted with you and you were offended. We tried being serious with you and you mocked, we tried speaking truth and you blasphemed.

There's no way through the thick religious ideological covering.

Belittling others is mocking not humor unless one is an unbeliever. You probably think Richard Prior is funny with his profanity and insults of others .

Are you speaking of someone you watch? Are you projecting your pastimes onto me? Why are you so hypocritical...accusing me of what you do? You see. I could get all faux-offended like you and your feathered friends....but wait...that's your religious ploy.

Projecting again. Read the above while looking into a mirror .

James 1
Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.23 Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror 24 and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.

More lies. More religious posturing....more faux self-righteous ranting. And you don't even have to do any research. You're a natural at this.

Calling scripture a lie that’s a new one.

I have lots of scripture memorized so I don’t have to research since the Holy Spirt brings it to my mind when necessary. It happens all the time in our weekly home groups , Mens discipleship meetings during the week, on the forums, etc …. The sword of the spirit ( Gods word) is with me 24/7. I can quote it without looking it up.

Are you now claiming to be scripture? That's rich! First... Behold is your Lord...now this??!!!
I have lots of scripture memorized

That's nice...I'm sure they all affirm your outer man.

I don't believe that for one second. Whatever spirit motivates you is in cahoots with you.

You memorized that verse wrong. It's "Christ in you, the hope of glory"

I guess you like making all the verses about you. Keep trying...but try not to always make it about you. There could be an extra cookie in it for you... :vgood:

Dead to Sin ? as in that one is not under the power of such, swamped in such sewer, Lost in Sin ?

The Born again can detect Sin and is mature enough to deal with such encounters but the ones who are of this world are not mature enough to deal with such encounters, Temptations.
One who are Saved, are not owned by the corruption of this world.
Not that one does not Sin ? but not all Sin is the same gravity in fact.

Lets say that I look at a woman and thought she looks fine ! I admire her dress style and class ? That does not mean I desire to have sex with her at all or any stupid intentions.

But one of this world may have another motive ?
A mate said to me that the Bible point regarding even looking at such and as where he is at ? he thinks on a carnal level and believes that just because he had such a thought ? that it has the same gravity as doing such an act ? well yes of sorts ? because he is carnal ! Lost ! he is an idiot ? he is in a rut ! his self control is under the power of pathetic Sin ? If he could get away with such he would ? That is his desire in fact, his want ? because he is only carnal ! he is pathetic ! The same with money ? would he steal ? yes ! if he could get away with it, for sure, for he is carnal !
So I could say to him, now listen mate I know where you are coming from but you do not understand where I am coming from at all.

That's the difference ! The carnal religious dupe is not Saved, That's why we see Priest who are child molesters and Gay Priest, for they are Lost ! not to mention preach nonsense ! and follow along with this world and it's trends.
For they have not Christ Jesus in their lives ! They have Religion and religion does not cut the mustard in fact, as only Christ Jesus can Save one !
