Indeed. One can not mix that which is Holy(In this case made Holy) with that which is unholy (sin).1 Corinthians 11:27-30
27So then, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord. 28Everyone ought to examine themselves before they eat of the bread and drink from the cup. 29For those who eat and drink without discerning the body of Christ eat and drink judgment on themselves. 30That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep.
Explain how normal bread and wine can result in people's sickness and death. Or does this mean there must be something more to the Eucharist. And when something is more than normal it can only be spiritual.
I AM the good shepherd; I know my own and my own know me, as The Father knows Me and I know The Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep. And I have other sheep, that are not of this fold; I must bring them also, and they will heed my voice. So there will be one flock one shepherd. The bread of the Presence in the Tabernacle was 12 loaves split into two piles. These were placed on a golden stand and both piles covered in Frankincense.
Covering bread in Frankincense, got to be a reference to the body of Jesus. But there are two piles, why not one? Could be references to Christ and his Church. Or Christ could be implied, and it represents the Gentile and Jewish believers. If the twelve loaves represent the twelve tribes of Israel what is the meaning to the Frankincense and dividing of the loaves?
Well when I took the sacrement I literally felt Jesus body near to mine in a way. And his is Holy and Virtuous. And I think that is what is meant. Sinning close to Jesus' body is bad.Hmm wonder if there is a danger to not discerning the other pile.
Correct. The ritual is symbolic. The breaking of bread is symbolic of Jesus' broken body on the cross. The drinking of the wine is his blood shed on the cross for our sins. It all points to the cross.
Eternal life comes through the death of Jesus on the cross we do not need anything elseAnd it is the Holy Spirit, and Jesus' Quickening Spirit in that that brings us eternal life thru the Sacrament.
Jesus body was not broken on the cross because he was already dead. The breaking of bread is symbolic of Jesus' broken body on the cross.
When you study this subject in its entirety as I have done, there is no such thing as communionLater, after you've done that, and are born again.... you are to take communion, as Christ said to do this often "in remembrance" of the LITERAL Body and Blood that was given as The Cross of Christ as your and for your Eternal REDEMPTION.
When you do a thorough study of this topic you will find that there is no such sacrament. The sacrament was talked about already in the bible and re-enforced later in the bible. It's part of God giving us eternal life.
I never said it was. I am talking about eating someone's flesh and drinking their blood.Neither drinking wine nor sharing bread are forbidden in Jewish law.
I know as I have studied Jewish celebrations. I have not talked about sharing bread and wine,You go on and on about Judaism. Have you ever attended a seder dinner? If so, you shared both bread and wine.
No it doesn't. Breaking bread from house to house means sharing meals and as it says, they ate their food with gladness.Acts 2:46 So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart,
That shows that they continued in the breaking of bread and giving the sacrament.
If you are breaking bread you are eating it.It doesn't saying eating bread. It says breaking of bread. You only break bread from Jesus' teachings. I didn't get that incorrect.
Correction. You take the words for what YOU think he meant.I just take Jesus words for what he meant
He said whoever eats will never dieCorrection. You take the words for what YOU think he meant.
