If atheists get accused of taking verses out of context, how do we know fundamentalists making those accusations aren’t doing the same as well?

Unexpected response. Since you registered here, I thought you'd WANT to talk about your agnosticism. Geesh!

Agnosticism takes more courage than anything else in my opinion. It leaves room for “not knowing”. It’s always easier to posture as if you know, or to give yourself some fairly tale to cope with the unknown. Very few people are willing to say “I don’t know”. We live in a world where “knowing” is of paramount importance due to survival purposes.

Religious people simply do not have the humility to say that they don’t know if there is a god. Their so-called confidence is really a false confidence, it’s arrogance.

As usual, you have things backwards. Agnosticism is the most cowardice position one can take. There is no statues ever made to the ‘I don’t know’ crowd.

<sigh> it’s not humility to deny what you know.

I believe we know that as the sin of trolling.:( Pray for those who have nothing else in their life.

What is so bad about having nothing else in life? If you have something, you can also lose it. I’m perfectly fine not having a defined meaning or purpose in life. It’s very freeing and makes life a mystery.

Actually, you have things backwards. You only see agnosticism as cowardice because agnostics won’t cave in to your extremist views. The fear of hell already has you by the balls, so I understand why anyone whose not in the same boat as you is seen as a coward.

What’s cowardly is taking up an extreme position or “side” when really you’re just a pawn of the entire conflict between believers and nonbelievers. It’s a lot like thinking you better pick a side between the republicans and democrats when really you’re being played by both.

Imagine needing to belong to a particular group or side because it gives you a sense of “belonging”. That right there, is cowardice.

Friend, the battle is not between believers and nonbelievers. The battle is between good and evil. And you are playing word games, wondering what is so bad about bad.

Imagine thinking there is a “battle” of good and evil. My friend, everyone thinks their side is “good” and the other side is “evil”. Both atheists and Christians are jokes in my eyes. I “could” be considered an atheist by definition but I find it cringeworthy even defining myself with a label. Both sides are pretty idiotic.

It’s like siding with the republicans or democrats thinking you’re “picking the lesser of two evils”. You’re being played. Neither one has your best interest in mind.

You put the battle of the ages in quotes because you are a coward. The most common command of the Bible is to not worry, take courage or words to that affect. There is no hiding in the shadow of ambiguity. It's as clear as the sun in the sky.

I “could” be considered an atheist by definition

Yes.

I find it cringeworthy even defining myself with a label.

Again, because you are an extremely fear filled person. "Labels" is the term the left use to attempt to shrug off culpability. More word games.

Both sides are pretty idiotic.

But only one side is aligned with the Creator.

It’s like siding with the republicans or democrats thinking you’re “picking the lesser of two evils”. You’re being played. Neither one has your best interest in mind.

You cannot believe this. What more would a friend have to do to convince you he is a real "friend" if giving his life so you could live doesn't meet your standard?

That's how @I.O.U is. You might be wasting your time, time that could be used for other people who come here. I.O.U seems to crave attention (He's probably narcissistic)

And you’re too much of a coward to rise above the simple duality of “good vs. evil”. You pick a side because you’re too afraid to stand on your own, independent of any “side”. You’re still a child trapped in the body of an adult, unfortunately.

The idea of “nuance” is all too much for your brain to handle. What more can be expected from a tribalistic brain that views everything as “us vs. then” though?

Romanov, did anyone not teach you any manners?

Have you not yet learned how to disagree in conversation without insults?

It's very childish and you could do better if you wanted.

You would certainly have more meaningful conversation if you did.

Wrangler started with the insults by saying I was a coward. Don’t blame me for standing up for myself and giving it right back to him. Learn to see both sides instead of just one.

Go back and read what -he- said.

LOL, I like the humor better. Try some more of that instead of burning down the forums.

That is true, that you only believe. Am I a troll? Maybe. But you offer no evidence to strengthen your opinion, and must believe that to protect your feelings
