You are avoiding the truth. Scripture makes this work.

I've already brought the truth out which you are avoiding. If you think scripture makes this work, then let's see the calculation. The decree to rebuild Jerusalem was issued on March 5th 444 BC. Let's see the calculation from the time the decree is issued to the time Jesus arrives as Messiah. I await your answer.
Jesus cannot possibly be cut off before he arrives as the anointed Messiah after 7 and 62 weeks.

Again, you are avoiding the truth. Show me the quote where I say Jesus is cut off BEFORE 69 weeks. The calculation that I have presented shows that Jesus arrives exactly 69 weeks from the time the decree is made. Jesus is cut off AFTER the 69 weeks just as it says.
25 So you are to know and understand that from the issuance of the command to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until [the coming of] the Messiah (the Anointed One), the Prince, there will be seven weeks [of years] and sixty-two weeks [of years]; it will be built again, with [a city] plaza and moat, even in times of trouble.

69 weeks pass before Messiah can actually arrive.
I know. Check my calculations. Now let's see yours. You can't make it work. That's the facts.

God told you by sending John the Baptist as the forerunner to announce the arrival of Messiah.. You continue to ignore this very important detail that was designed to prepare and pave the way for the people to recognize Messiah's arrival. You erroneously attribute a donkey to this at the end of our Lords ANOINTED ministry .
Makes no sense at all.

It makes no sense to you because you don't understand that Jesus riding a donkey is the fulfillment of Messiah coming to the Jews on a lowly ass.
Zechariah 9
9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.

And here is the fulfillment of Zechariah 9
Luke 19
28 And when he had thus spoken, he went before, ascending up to Jerusalem.

29 And it came to pass, when he was come nigh to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount called the mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples,

30 Saying, Go ye into the village over against you; in the which at your entering ye shall find a colt tied, whereon yet never man sat: loose him, and bring him hither.

31 And if any man ask you, Why do ye loose him? thus shall ye say unto him, Because the Lord hath need of him.

32 And they that were sent went their way, and found even as he had said unto them.

33 And as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said unto them, Why loose ye the colt?

34 And they said, The Lord hath need of him.

35 And they brought him to Jesus: and they cast their garments upon the colt, and they set Jesus thereon.

36 And as he went, they spread their clothes in the way.

37 And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;

38 Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.

39 And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.

40 And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.

The disciples clearly recognized Jesus as the Messiah at the start of his ministry after his Baptism (Anointing)
Which means what? Are we looking for a few people to recognize Jesus as the Messiah on a date that we can't arrive at from the time the decree was issued to rebuild Jerusalem, or are we looking for the time that Jesus arrives in Jerusalem as Messiah 69 weeks from the decree to rebuild Jerusalem?
Simon and told him, “We have found the Messiah” (which translated means the Christ).

What date did this occur on? Show the calculation to arrive at this date from the time the decree was issued to rebuild Jerusalem.

You can deny the facts all you want. All you are doing is lying to yourself. Let's see those dates and calculations.

State anywhere it is written: 69+1 that actually shows a major gap of unknown time in between the 69th and 70th weeks.
Show me why you do not acknowledge the gap at 7 and 62 weeks. Why don't you always put 7+62 instead of 69? There is already a gap in 69. Jesus is the 70th week.

I acknowledge that 70 means 70.

The problem is there is no "gap" in scripture. Daniel's prophecy states 62+7+1=70. No gap.

A gap would indicate an error in what the angel told Daniel. 70 weeks does not mean 70 weeks + 2,000 plus years.

Exactly. There is no indication whatsoever anywhere of there being any gaps in the 70 weeks. People have to make that up to support their false doctrines.

Great, fulfillment of prophecy. Still you cannot prove the 69 weeks were not over years before Jesus was born.

Every one thinks they have the right metrics.

No, because the 70th week was not defined by time, but with the words Messiah the Prince.

Of course a gap between 7 and 62 is fine. The work stopped, and had to be decreed again.

The gap between Jesus as Messiah of the whole earth and king of the whole earth is the fulness of the Gentiles.

You would not even exist if the 70 weeks were completed in the first century.

No, I'm not. And yet you are forgetting the 70 weeks are determined upon the people of Daniel to bring in everlasting righteousness.

Revelation 11
15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

You seem to think that because Jesus said, "It is finished", that's the end of the story. Jesus comes first as a suffering servant. And when He comes again, it is then that everlasting righteous will be brought in.

You need to get "the rest of the story".
In what sense do you think everlasting righteousness will be brought in when Jesus returns?

The 70 weeks determined for the people of Daniel are NOT over. Only 69 weeks are complete.
That is clearly false. Jesus, the Messiah, was cut off after the 69 weeks were complete. That places His death some time within the 70th week.

So The Jews rejected Jesus as they have been blinded to the truth of the Messiah. When the fullness of the Gentiles comes in, part of Israel will have its blindness removed.

Romans 11
25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

We see clearly in the Word of God that the Jews were to be the first harvest, but they served other Gods. The Jews will not be the first harvest. Then Gentiles will be the first harvest. And when that happens, when the fullness of the Gentiles comes in, part of Israel will see.
Where does that say that "when the fullness of the Gentiles comes in, part of Israel will see"? It doesn't. Part of Israel has been seeing for a long time already. There was the remnant who were saved in Paul's day and some have been saved as time has gone on ever since. You're adding something to the text that is not there at all.

Jesus will return once the fullness of the Gentiles comes in. It was God's will for Israel to be blinded in part because He wanted the salvation of the Gentiles to make them jealous so that they would want to be saved the way the Gentiles are (see Romans 11:11-14). And a good number of them have been saved the past almost 2,000 years, including 3,000 on the day of Pentecost alone. That is how the process works.

Romans 11
10 Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway.

11 I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.

12 Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness?
Paul was not referring to some time in the future that the Gentiles would provoke the Jews to jealousy. He was talking about something that started happening already back then. That's why he said this, which you did not quote (why did you stop at verse 12?):

Romans 11:13 I am talking to you Gentiles. Inasmuch as I am the apostle to the Gentiles, I take pride in my ministry 14 in the hope that I may somehow arouse my own people to envy and save some of them.

Can you see here how Paul was hoping to help save some of them even back then? So, why act as if Romans 11:10-12 is only talking about a future time? That is not the case.

The Jews will realize when the rapture of the Church happens that they are not saved. Blindness will be removed from part of Israel, and they will understand.
Blindness was removed from part of Israel long ago. That's how some of them were saved, including 3,000 on the day of Pentecost. It says they were blinded in part, not in full, so this idea of blindness being removed from part of Israel in the future does not take into consideration that Israel never was blinded in full.

Jeremiah 8
20 The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.

70 weeks are determined on the people of Daniel. There is NO POSSIBLE WAY that you can show any legitimate evidence that the 70 weeks are over.
Wrong. All of the six things listed in Daniel 9:24 have already been accomplished. For example, Jesus made an end of sins by making His sacrifice to take away the sins of the world long ago. It's not meant to be understood as the literal end of sin. Finishing the transgression should be understood similarly. Jesus brought in everlasting righteousness by providing the way for eternal life. Jesus was the most holy who was anointed long ago. You are not recognizing that only Jesus could fulfill the 70th week and He accomplished that long ago by way of His death and resurrection.

And when He comes again, it is then that everlasting righteous will be brought in.

1 Corinthians 1:30
But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

2 Corinthians 5:21
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

1 Peter 2:24
Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

1 John 2:29
If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.

Lots of righteousness there already 2,000 years ago.

If it wasn't everlasting righteousness, when did it end?

You are attributing the 70 weeks to Israel and to the gentiles--but that is not what is written, but rather "70 weeks is appointed" for Daniel's people (Israel).

But you have also not reconciled the 70 weeks with "a time, times, and half a time" which does include the gentiles.

You have the wrong decree. :)
Ezra was instrumental in restoring the people back under the word of God.
That was the most important issue regarding the nation's restoration. Who better to lead them than Ezra:eek:?

[ The light said] Again, you are avoiding the truth. Show me the quote where I say Jesus is cut off BEFORE 69 weeks. The calculation that I have presented shows that Jesus arrives exactly 69 weeks from the time the decree is made. Jesus is cut off AFTER the 69 weeks just as it says.]
How long after the 69 weeks is he cut off?
You have Jesus completing his ministry in 69 weeks and cut off at the end of those weeks.

So what do you consider are our Lords accomplishments?
Did he atone for the sins of the whole world? Did he put away sin through the sacrifice of himself?
We all await your answer.

He did all things that were decreed to happen in 70 weeks. ;)

The Jews will be the second harvest because they served other gods. The Gentiles will be the 1st harvest.

Hosea 9
10 I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as the firstripe in the fig tree at her first time: but they went to Baalpeor, and separated themselves unto that shame; and their abominations were according as they loved.

The fig tree has two harvests. The Gentiles will be the first harvest as it will be like the days of Noah where Noah is in the ark 7 days before the flood. The second harvest will be like the days of Lot where the very day Lot left Sodom destruction came. This harvest will occur at the 6th seal before the wrath of God.

Revelation 14
14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.

15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.

16 And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.

17 And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.

18 And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.

19 And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God.

Exactly. There is no indication whatsoever anywhere of there being any gaps in the 70 weeks. People have to make that up to support their false doctrines.
Daniel 9:24-27, Seventy "Future" Literal Weeks Explained

Daniel's 70 weeks are literal 7 day periods, or 490 literal days.

If Daniel meant 490 years he would have written

(Four Hundred Ninety Years)

Daniel had no restrictions in "Writing" exact numerology as seen below.

Daniel 6:1KJV
It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom an hundred and twenty princes, which should be over the whole kingdom;

Daniel 8:14KJV
And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.

Daniel 12:11KJV
And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

Below in Daniel 10:2-3 we see just another example of Daniel's literal weeks, as Daniel mourned and fasted for 3 literal weeks or 21 days.

Daniel 10:2-3KJV
2 In those days I Daniel was mourning three full weeks.
3 I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.

Below in Daniel 9:24-27 we see 70 literal "Future" weeks or 490 days.

When the "Future" call/commandment goes out in Jerusalem to build unto the Jewish Meshiach/Messiah that they wait for (They Denied Jesus Christ) this will start the 7 week period in preparing to build.

62 literal weeks will be in building, and Meshiach/Messiah will be cut off by the armies surrounding Jerusalem, this stops the building.

The 70th literal week will see (The Antichrist) revealed in making a covenant, and in the middle of this literal week he proclaims to be Meshiach/Messiah God to the Jews, and Jesus returned to the apostate church, to start a Millennium on earth.

The 3.5 year tribulation starts at this time.

Daniel 9:24-27KJV
24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Jews by the millions have accepted Christ over the 2,000 years since Calvary.

They have experienced His everlasting righteousness.

The decree to rebuild Jerusalem was issued on March 5th 444 BC.

Are you using a 360 days/year calendar to arrive at that date?

The 360 days/year calendar was discontinued in Hezekiah's time.

"Archeologists have discovered that nearly all societies used a 360 day calendar until around the 8th century BC, which would be about the time of Hezekiah. Jewish tradition teaches that the calendar changed when he was king. The earth's orbit shifted from a 360 day cycle to a 365.25 day cycle."

1: the act of consummating the consummation of a contract by mutual signature specifically : the consummating of a marriage
2: the ultimate end

Daniel 9:27KJV
27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

The Judean Christians fled in 66 AD (Matthew 24:16). They escaped the ensuing consummation of the nation of Israel.

If they'd been futurists, they'd all have been dead.

God says 42 months is 1260 days. God says 3 and one half years is 1260 days. If God says it, that's good enough for me. You can use any Calander that you want, but if you are looking for the right answer, I think I would trust God.

Jews by the millions have accepted Christ over the 2,000 years since Calvary.

They have experienced His everlasting righteousness.

Yeah. But wait until part of Israel has its blindness removed after the fulness of the Gentiles comes in.
Isn't this the place where you try to prove Cyrus gave the decree to rebuild Jerusalem?
