You want to spiritualize it to say Jesus is th eprince of the people that shall come and destroy the sanctuary.

Even Josephus, th enon believer he was, recognized Titus fulfilled Daniel as far as the destruction of the city.

But to continue your instructions in the rules of proper understanding according to teh rules of grammar God created. The reason why the Nahum passages refer to Yahweh Sabaoth and no one else, is that teh fdirst person personal pronouns that fo0llow match the same case, number and gender as its nearest antecedent which is Yahweh
Saaoth!

Copy/paste the verbatim quote in which I "spiritualize it to say Jesus is th eprince of the people that shall come and destroy the sanctuary".

Copy/paste the portion of the Daniel 9 passage in which the word "Jesus" appears.

Copy/paste the verbatim quote from Josephus in which he expounds upon Daniel 9:26 claiming that the prince therein is Titus.
Include the source and the location of the quote within the source.

Copy/paste the verbatim portion from Nahum in which "Yahweh Saaoth" appears.

actually He is king not prince

Revelation 1:5
And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood

Copy/paste the verbatim quote in which I "spiritualize it to say Jesus is th eprince of the people that shall come and destroy the sanctuary".

YOu said there is no other prince mentioned in Daniel 9.

25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

YOu said the prince in verse 26 is Jesus. That means He is the prince of the people who came and destroyed the sanctuary! Show me one verse in SCripture wherte Jesus is called prince of a gentile nation.

Copy/paste the verbatim quote from Josephus in which he expounds upon Daniel 9:26 claiming that the prince therein is Titus.
Include the source and the location of the quote within the source.

Well if you know a website that has the works of Josephus- send it to me so I can look it up! Otherwise all I have is the book! I do not know for defnite is He mentioned Titus by name. But Titus is the leader who came and destroyed Jerusalem. I will double check that.

Copy/paste the verbatim portion from Nahum in which "Yahweh Saaoth" appears.

YOu quoted them. I misspelled Sabaoth. but Lord of Hosts almost exclusively in Hebre is Yahweh Sabaoth.

Revelation 1:5
And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood

Ah you fell into the King James foible! The word translated "prince" is archon and means ruler or chief ruler! A prince does not rule over kings, but an archon or chief ruler would rule over kings.

Well Darby is not my godfather that is just your arrogant presumptiousness run amok.

Here is the work of Josephus. I di dnot read it all from the online source and did not post it because it is over 10,000 words long.

Flavius Josephus Chronology of the Destruction of Jerusalem’s: AD 62-73 (bible.ca)

Now about archon.

Look at it in a standard dictionary. Itrs primary meaning comes from the root word "arche" which means first, premier or ruler. It CAN mean prince, magistrate, king, governor or several other titles. context determines that meaning.

But now let us assume, that prince is the correct ( and is th emost accepted use) in Rev., now you have to establish that the OT use of prince in Daniel 9 must mean Messiah the Prince despite that being grammatically incorrect. BTW you still haven't established any rule of grammar by which you sasy your mystical interpretation is th ecorrect one.

But archon means ruler first and a specific title only when the context demands it. Now show me for REvelation why the context demands a prince be a ruler over kings.

Nowhere in your link does Josephus claim that the prince of Daniel 9:26 was Titus. Your "evidence" is vacuously bankrupt.

Tell John Wycliffe and the translators (especially John Nelson Darby!!) of the ten other Bible versions that I cited, to show you why they translated "archon" as "prince".

Wow you do strain at gnats. Nobody but God knew that Titus would be the prince of Daniel 9. Titus is the choice because in time (c. 70AD) it was revealed who the prince was of the Romans who destroyed the city and sanctuary. YOu really are a nit picker and make foolish demands. But Josephus identifies Titus as the archon who destroyed the city and sanctuary.

I cannot answer why they wrote prince instead of ruler. You seem to be hung up on it, so maybe you should write them, or consult a medium to talk to teh dead ones.

From a greek dictionary of koine greek:

Search Wiktionary Look up archon in Wiktionary, the free dictionary.
Archon (Gr. ἄρχων, pl. ἄρχοντες) is a Greek word that means "ruler" or "lord", frequently used as the title of a specific public office. It is the masculine present participle of the verb stem ἀρχ-, meaning "to rule", derived from the same root as monarch, hierarchy and anarchy.

Now if John specifically meant prince He would have been inspired to use the word:

Strong's Greek: 747. ἀρχηγός (archégos) -- founder, leader (biblehub.com)

Which is different than archon in form and meaning!

The KJV New Testament Greek Lexicon

I searched and could not find outside of the bible, the use of the term archon as a generic prince. If a ruler or magistrate was a prince yes, but the archon, meant his authority not position of nobility.

YOu can even see that Strongs does not have prince as part of its definition, just as its usage.

Once again no charge for a grammar lesson.

Ahem. You're trying to say Jesus is not a prince and only the KJV gives that impression? I beg to differ.

Isaiah 9:6 (NIV) For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Hebrew anbd Greek are different in case you didn't know! No charge for the lesson.

Now prove that Jesus being the Prince of peace demands that He is the second named prince in daniel 9.

also by the way. I never said jesus was never called prince- go back and look at all my posts and get rid of that lie.

I have simply said He is not the second prince mentioned in Daniel. what is it with so many of you here that we talk about one subject and then yoou lose a sense of sanity and try to take my words and misapply them to things I never said??? Is this something that you learn in covenant theology schools?

Nowhere in your link does Josephus claim that the prince of Daniel 9:26 was Titus. Your "evidence" is vacuously bankrupt.

Even Josephus, th enon believer he was, recognized Titus fulfilled Daniel as far as the destruction of the city.

Josephus never mentions Daniel in his voluminous "Wars of the Jews". Stop making false claims.

I cannot answer why they wrote prince instead of ruler. You seem to be hung up on it

Yes, you certainly cannot. So why did you get hung up on it?

I will not do history lessons for you! If you cannot know that Jesus i Messiah the Prince- what are you even doing on this thread?
If you're unable to quote Scripture as written instead of imposing your own arbitrary substitutions, maybe you should get refunds for all of those degrees that you purchased.
