In a way maam, clearly the sheep are spiritual people, and display the fruitages of the spirit Gal 5:22,23 whereas the goats will display the works of the flesh v19-21
I agree if you are meaning it in that way, if you are indicating there will not be humans any longer, then no as God's purpose is to fill the earth, and what goes forth from His mouth, never goes unfulfilled Vicky.
to seek that Kingdom first in our lives now Mat 6:33 so that we will not catch ourselves of guard and be declared a goat maam.
you said “and be declared a goat” that is more what I was suggesting. I think of it (wrong or right) that the old man crucified in Christ is the goat…as in take off these things strife, debates, wrath, envy, greed, hatred and put on the New created in the image of Christ (The Shepherd and His sheep). To me His sheep hear His voice is …that which is born of God is Spirit. That which is flesh is flesh. Can a goat, that natural man receive the things which are from God, or does a goat think it is foolishness? Point is, if you think you can wind up “a goat” so you hope to be “a sheep”…are not both in you “a goat” and “a sheep”? Or else why put one aside and remove it as dead in Christ…and follow after Him as “a sheep” and not as “a goat”? To me it solidifies that “a goat” can not by its on power become “a sheep” but the urging of “one must be born again” of God for the Shepherd leads sheep and not goats. Why else the “dividing” asunder of “the heart”…where you don’t want to wind up a goat. who separates the goat from the sheep…where you don’t have to be that goat but a sheep? who put that goat away…openly triumphant over it? I go on and on, I apologize…but if we are pointing fingers always accusing others of being goats ….what are we? Are not both within us to be either a goat or a sheep? Is the division within of separating that which is the old man (dead) from the New man (Alive unto God) created in Christ? Isn’t that separation of the goat and sheep where we need to be most concerned with? Or else …like you suggested…”so that we will not catch ourselves of guard and be declared a goat maam.”
See you suggested (unless I misunderstood) both are within “a goat” and “a sheep”: one from Adam, One from Christ. Hopefully we wind up in Christ? When we take the focus off of separating others to title “us sheep” and “them goats” instead of the dividing where that sword that enters into the heart makes manifest the intent of the heart.
Consider where does “goats milk” comes from when Paul spoke of needing to feed them with milk, asking are y’all not still carnal (is that a goat?) and in need of the milk? Is Paul suggesting they still need that which is carnal …the goats milk? What else does a goat eat? Yet, (Imo) it is not a slight (pointing fingers) but an urging (as a nurse maid cares for the little ones) to move on to the meat of born anew where His sheep hear His voice and move on from the needing of goats milk. If one still has need of goats milk…are they still babes (yet babes in Christ) nourished on milk until they are ready to get off the goats milk?
Who provides the goats their milk until they are weaned…I wonder? God? Just thinking…
