“Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.” (1 Peter 1:23)

You’re not going to tell me that the Bible is not the word of God are you?

So now, What has God been talking to you about lately? Where is he guiding you to (other than attacking the Bible)?
no that is saying how to you get eternal life... not that the Bible is eternal life... big difference... try again... we are talking about you believing that the Bible is eternal life... stay focused please..

I can do that very same thing as well and quote scripture to you all day long...

John 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. 40And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.

according to your own belief that the Bible is God's word... God's word contradicts your thought as to the Bible being eternal life it and of itself...

I'm glad you disagree.. doesn't matter.. you called Jesus Himself a liar, since you like to use the Bible and you believe that the Bible is eternal life... so once you answer my question I will gladly answer yours...

There you go.. I said someone would do that... your faith is in the Bible and not God..
Absolute rubbish! The bible is where we learn about God; His love, His grace, His purposes. Without the bible how could we ever really know Him. My faith is the God of the bible; in His son Jesus the Christ and in His Holy Spirit.

God's Word tells us that Jesus IS God!!! Best we believe it!!! Those that deny the truth of God's Word have nothing left but the lies of satan.
So it seems to me that True Faith must be part of the JW cult or something similar. Sounds like he has no faith in the written word of God.

Without a doubt the most important question you will ever be asked in your Christian Life...

Is your faith in the Bible or is it in God?

If you have to use the Bible to validate your faith, then your faith is in the Bible and not in God.
If you Believe that the Bible supports a Triune God, your faith is in the Bible and not in God.
If you believe Jesus was God Himself, your faith is in the Bible and not in God.
If you believe that God will not talk to you, then your faith is in the Bible and not God.

When you post comments and quote them, please post the entire post and not just bits and pieces.
I know hardly any of you will do that because cherry picking is your way of hiding from the truth...
Fallacy Name:
False Dilemma

Alternative Names:
Excluded Middle
False Dichotomy
Bifurcation

Fallacy Category:
Fallacies of Presumption > Suppressed Evidence

Explanation
The False Dilemma fallacy occurs when an argument offers a false range of choices and requires that you pick one of them. The range is false because there may be other, unstated choices which would only serve to undermine the original argument. If you concede to pick one of those choices, you accept the premise that those choices are indeed the only ones possible. Usually, only two choices are presented, thus the term "False Dilemma"; however, sometimes there are three (trilemma) or more choices offered.

This is sometimes referred to as the "Fallacy of the Excluded Middle" because it can occur as a misapplication of the Law of the Excluded Middle. This "law of logic" stipulates that with any proposition, it must be either true or false; a "middle" option is "excluded". When there are two propositions, and you can demonstrate that either one or the other must logically be true, then it is possible to argue that the falsehood of one logically entails the truth of the other.

That, however, is a tough standard to meet - it can be very difficult to demonstrate that among a given range of statements (whether two or more), one of them absolutely has to be correct. It certainly isn't something which can simply be taken for granted, but this is precisely what the False Dilemma Fallacy tends to do.

You tricked me!! Or are you a ‘bot’???

WELL, it’s been fun wasting time with you. But I’ll move on now. At least I got a few laughs out of this.

Ty for making it known that you are not a Trinitarian..
I do not insist on being the only one who is right on a point, even though I may believe it. The proof is in God to anyone to whom He has revealed what is true or not. I refer people who question this to what Solomon wrote a thousand years before Jesus was born in Bethlehem.

"Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts." Prov 21:2

You can always tell when a person's faith is in God or in the Bible... Faith and belief are two totally different things...
"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Heb 11:1

Who is stepping out on the water keeping his eyes on the Lord, and who is looking fearfully down at the deadly water beneath his feet?

Faith is trusting that God has never lied.. complete and total trust in God...
Being led and directed always by God even when we do not and seemingly cannot understand it all.

I do not have all the answers, never claimed to...

God Gives me the answers...
The answers you need, when you need them. God alone always knows what they are and when they are needed.

"O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.
O LORD, correct me, but with judgment; not in thine anger, lest thou bring me to nothing." Jerem 10:23-24

Some will say that they use the Bible to make their point, but will never be able to make their point without using the Bible...
Indeed, it is a difficult thing for many... In what Book or Bible did Abraham have faith?

"By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.
By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:" Heb 11:8-9

Can you use the Bible to defend your beliefs??? Absolutely.. can you use the Bible to defend your Faith??? absolutely not...

Your faith is shown by the way you live...

I honestly did not know the Bible nor what was in it until I was 10.. before that I know that it was wrong to steal... that it was wrong to kill and lie and so forth and so on...
I did not read or own a Bible until I was 32 years of age but my first recalled encounter with God occurred 26 years earlier at 6 years of age.

Now at 78 I read my Bible daily, but I also talk with and listen to God. Where is the Life?

"Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;
Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life" II Cor 3:5-6

The Spirit of God does not dwell in unopened or unread books, not even the Bible, but in people.

...

if all the bibles were to vanish today would I still have my Faith in God??? Yes I would, because I know God will never lie to me nor will he ever let me down... I do not need a bible to tell me my faith is in God, my Faith in God is reflected in my life...

Who has eyes to see and ears to hear from God? Not every Bible reader.
