'Risen' starring Joseph Fiennes. it's about a Roman officer charged with making sure that the tomb where Jesus was buried is not robbed. Thought provoking. I've watched it twice.

I wanted to watch a Moses movie this Easter and many movies skipped the Passover altogether. No plague of the first born, no lamb blood on the doorframe.
If they made a good Moses movie that stuck to the biblical facts instead of adding a lot of their own new age doctrine and ideas it would be good.
The problem I see a lot of Hollywood movies is that they tend to try and steer the audience to the progressive Christianity goal or worse.
So the Moses story isn't good for that or much of the old testament as God is often seen as harsh. I watched "Exodus: Gods and Kings". And it seemed too blasphemous against God's nature. As if Moses knew better than God or something. But I don't see Moses that way. He would have honored and worshiped Gods ways but also desired mercy for the people.

Have you seen "The Ten Commandments?" (1956)
I bought a digital copy from Amazon Prime Video.
It takes some liberties/artistic license, but it's quite a spectacle.
If you don't have access to it I could probably arrange something.
It's not sectarian or anything, I don't think.
(I like "Samson and Delilah" (1949) too. and "The Robe")
It's not something you'd normally find on Netflix and such.
Actually, I just found it:

It's from a Russian server, so I don't know if it's legit, but I noticed that the pop-up nag screen goes away when you Hit the full-screen icon.

Thanks, you have to buy that one perhaps. But I did find a 2007 remake that I could watch. Checking it out now!

I very much liked Barabbas 1961. It's a cautionary tale about Barabbas and his struggles after being pardoned.
What about 'EXodus, gods and kings'?

It was a spectacular movie. But I had problems with the portrayal of the relationship between God and Moses. You will have to let me know what you think about the movie.
