'Risen' starring Joseph Fiennes. it's about a Roman officer charged with making sure that the tomb where Jesus was buried is not robbed. Thought provoking. I've watched it twice.Has anything good come from Hollywood in regards to bible movies? I'm looking for something modern that I could watch. Thanks.

If they made a good Moses movie that stuck to the biblical facts instead of adding a lot of their own new age doctrine and ideas it would be good.I wanted to watch a Moses movie this Easter and many movies skipped the Passover altogether. No plague of the first born, no lamb blood on the doorframe.
Have you seen "The Ten Commandments?" (1956)Has anything good come from Hollywood in regards to bible movies? I'm looking for something modern that I could watch. Thanks.
Thanks, you have to buy that one perhaps. But I did find a 2007 remake that I could watch. Checking it out now!Have you seen "The Ten Commandments?" (1956)
I bought a digital copy from Amazon Prime Video.
It takes some liberties/artistic license, but it's quite a spectacle.
If you don't have access to it I could probably arrange something.
It's not sectarian or anything, I don't think.
(I like "Samson and Delilah" (1949) too. and "The Robe")
It's not something you'd normally find on Netflix and such.
Actually, I just found it:
The Ten Commandments (1956) 720p
It's from a Russian server, so I don't know if it's legit, but I noticed that the pop-up nag screen goes away when you Hit the full-screen icon.
:)
It was a spectacular movie. But I had problems with the portrayal of the relationship between God and Moses. You will have to let me know what you think about the movie. What about 'EXodus, gods and kings'?
Anybody seen that and what did you think? I have recorded it but not watched it yet.
Thanks @devin553344 I'll let you know when I've seen it.It was a spectacular movie. But I had problems with the portrayal of the relationship between God and Moses. You will have to let me know what you think about the movie.
