Thanks to you and me and some others, the Truth is out there for those “ with ears to hear”......there’s no use trying to talk to a Stiff- Necked Fool ......I don’t even bother to read their Tripe anymore so I hope they show the wisdom to conserve their computer ink....a “wisdom” that so far has been non- existent.....” Falser” and “abuser” are dead to me.....
… All because the Acts skipper disagrees with Acts 2:38.

Is unfortunate that Acts Skipper fled this thread. Many times the saints presented correct doctrine to the Pharisees, they too like this Acts Skipper stopped up their ears.

He couldn't stand to read this...

Act 2:12 And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?

Act 2:14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:
Act 2:15 For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.
Act 2:16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;

Act 2:37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Act 2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

The Lord has not stopped calling.

I am sure that God is dealing with the Acts skipper, though he fled.

Some even hate the dentist, but eventually concede when they are in pain, and go get a root canal.

I am one of those "dentists" that find a nerve and grind on it awhile...LOL.

John 12:14-16, “I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. For he will not speak on his own authority, but will speak whatever he hears, and will tell you what is to come. He will glorify me, because he will receive from me what is mine and will tell it to you." Funny how Jesus neglected to mention baptism!

Baptism is a rite signifying the death of the old, sinful man. It has nothing to do with acceptance of its teaching.

Ho hum.

No, Water baptism for remission of sins was set as a precedent in Acts 2:38. These people confessed, believed and were baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of their sins. Peter didn’t drop the remission of sins part between Acts 2 and Acts 10. That is the Acts skippers doctrine and is silly.

Here is Acts 2:38: "Repent, and each one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." Notice: there is no mention of WATER. You're obviously reading something into Scripture that isn't there!

Baptism in the name of Jesus Christ is not baptism in water.

As usual, your fixation on a single verse, out of context and misinterpreted, is... BORING!!!

Let's take a look...

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized(G907) every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

G907
βαπτίζω
baptizō

Thayer Greek Definition:
1) to dip repeatedly, to immerse, to submerge (of vessels sunk)
2) to cleanse by dipping or submerging, to wash, to make clean with water, to wash one’s self, bathe
3) to overwhelm

That same Greek word is found in other places in scriptures...

Matthew 3:13 Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.
[14] But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?
[15] And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.
[16] And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:

Act 8:35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.
[36] And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?
[37] And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
[38] And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized IN AIR every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you BY THE HOLY GHOST in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall (FUTURE)receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized IN ALCOHOL every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized BY YOUR FAITH every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

OR...

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized IN WATER every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Pick the one that makes best sense, Acts skipper.

None of these is a quote from Scripture! You should be ashamed of yourself for distorting and mocking God's word!

And I am not an "Acts skipper". You keep using that phrase over and over and over ad nauseum. Your maniacally focus on one single out-of-context verse which you clearly don't understand.

May God have mercy on your soul!!!

Look, you refuse to tell me HOW you were baptized.

Then you think Acts 2:38 is not water baptism.

Stealth Acts skipper doctrine.

Stealth Acts skipper doctrine.

I was baptized in the Holy Spirit then later in water as a testimony that my old, sinful man was dead.

Acts 2:38 is not water baptism. That is your false interpretation.

And stop with the BORING "Acts skipper" nonsense. Nobody skips Acts including me.

You clearly have a one-track mind. Can't you think of anything to say except the same old garbage, repeated ad nauseum!

It is BORING!!!
