Let me give you some advice, go to a different church, for when you learn more, you will not have to write as you do. You see, empty vessels make the most noise
More evidence of your coplete inability to answer my questions.

Like I said before - Checkmate.

Let's face it - you have no ABILITY to respond to any rational argument, as you've shown time and time again.
You're simply NOT equipped to debate Scriptural matters . . .
Ummmmm, maybe it;s because YOU haven't presented a rational argument yet.
All your responses have been filled with pathetic denials, Scriptural confusion and ad hominem.

I suggest you take some time off and STUDY your Bible.

Your understanding of Scripture is wrong, but that's what happens when you invent your own doctrines based on flawed interpretation. Taking Scripture out of context, as you have done with John 3:5, simply amplifies your misunderstanding.

John 3:1-11, "Now a certain man, a Pharisee named Nicodemus, who was a member of the Jewish ruling council, came to Jesus at night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the miraculous signs that you do unless God is with him.” Jesus replied, “I tell you the solemn truth, unless a person is born from above, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter his mother’s womb and be born a second time, can he?”

Jesus answered, “I tell you the solemn truth, unless a person is born of water and spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. What is born of the flesh is flesh, and what is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not be amazed that I said to you, ‘You must all be born from above.’ The wind blows wherever it will, and you hear the sound it makes, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

Nicodemus replied, “How can these things be?” Jesus answered, “Are you the teacher of Israel and yet you don’t understand these things? I tell you the solemn truth, we speak about what we know and testify about what we have seen, but you people do not accept our testimony."

To think that this refers to water baptism is absurd! There are two types of birth, as Jesus clearly explains. One is natural birth (by "water", a.k.a. amniotic fluid, and the other is by the Holy Spirit. Born of the flesh, by "water", has nothing to do with being baptized. That is a classic example of eisegesis (the interpretation of a text (as of the Bible) by reading into it one's own ideas).

In your own (childish) words, "Your understanding of Scripture is pathetic - but that's what happens when you invent your own little "doctrines". Grow up!
Now THAT'S more like it - you actually toook the time to provide a Scriptural argument for your position.
Unfortunately, it's DEAD WRONG - and I'kk explain why.

We are BOTH agreed that Nicodemus was asking about REBIRTH, because in verse 3, Jesus says:
“Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again."

Responding to Nicodemus's question in verse 4 - Jesus responds in verse5:
In verse 5, Jesus states:
"Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit."

Now - it is YOUR position that Jesus's reference to being "born of WATER" is a reference to the amniotic fluid in the womb. So I have ONE question for you:
WHAT happens to the MILLIONS of aborted babies?

So, unless you believe that the souls of ALL aborted babies simply "disappear" - you need to RETHINK your position.
They NEVER had a chance to be "BORN or water".

I've given up chatting to him, his comments are getting wilder and wilder all the time
No - they're simply too difficult for all of you guys to address.

Thank you for illustrating this in all of your evasive posts - which are available for ALL to see . . .

True!! All BreadofLife can do is accuse others who disagree with his flawed interpretation of Scripture. Have you noticed that he is incapable of having a rational discussion? Instead he resorts to one ad hominem attack after another. He is clearly a "born again" Pharisee.
Ummmmm, that's why I STUMPED both YOU and @stephen64 with EVERVY verse and question I asked of you.
And the BEST part of that is - ALL of these posts exist on this thread for ALL to see.

You BOTH need to take some time off, dust off those Bible in your closet and STUDY them . . .

If you claim (correctly) that Christ is risen, why do you show Him as dead on the cross? It's one or the other!
I hope you or Philip don't mind.

We believe Jesus to be an eternal being. Prophecy is a phenomenon of that fact. With Christ eternity entered time and history.
You believe that too whether you know that or not. You just haven't apprehended it's subtle permeation of the temporal.
Prophecy begins at every moment Christ experienced in time. The moment as it proceeds when He was a baby. That baby in that moment is an eternal moment. That baby Jesus isn't in a past but because Jesus is eternal that Jesus is present.
In eternity there is no before or after. All time, every moment is present on eternity.
That's why the lamb of God is present before the foundation of the world and at the end of time.

So the lamb that is sacrificed is ever present. Every moment He spent on earth is present in time. In this moment is every moment of Jesus 'life.
So the Death of Christ on the cross is present in time. You believe Jesus can forgive you because He said that 2000 years ago or because He transcends time ? Because Jesus is from heaven His death is present. If it wasn't we couldn't die with Him. There would be no such thing as Grace.

Remember Jesus bears the wounds on His resurrected body. Jesus' soul had parted His body but His body didn't begin the process of decay.
Jesus taught that He came to earth to die.
For me Jesus agony on the cross is an act of supreme love and complete freedom. His corpse reminds me that He experienced that for me. He didn't have to die but as He said that's why he came.
His body on the cross is the central moment in time and is the central event in eternity. Heaven surrounds the lamb of God on the throne of God.
Catholic worship surrounds that same throne and worships God with heavenly host at every Mass.
Because heaven and earth gather at the foot of the cross and Worships the Lamb of God.
See for yourself. The Lamb has always been and will always be on the throne surrounded and worshipped without beginning or end.
Sorry Jim I waxed long.

Are you incapable of following the conversation? I am not going to bother explaining things to you.
Really. I wasn't asking for an explanation of things. Whatever that means. I asked for An explanation for your opinion. I m apparently unable to follow a conversation unless it's dumbed down. Cheers.

I "sinned" because I rebuked a person for falsely representing the Gospel by stating that we are NOT to pray for one another - even though Scripture commands us to (James 5:16)??

STUDY your Bible . . .
This is a good example actually . You erred , YET YOU THEN REPENTED OF said error and did that which is right .
That is what i have been saying as well . IF one errs , REPENT . Dont just STAY in the error , OR BEWARE IF YA DO .
REPENT is not an evil word .

Did you not notice the question marks at the end of BreadofLife's post to which you replied?

Does "IF one errs , REPENT" apply to you also?

YOU and I were discussing WATER Baptism as descrived in John 3:5.
In post #976 - YOU made your argument about this verse - and NOW you're chickening-OUT??

THANK YOU for so amply illustrating the kind of cowardice I've been facing these last TWO days by the likes of YOU and your equall-ignorant buddy, @stephen64 . . .

What are you talking about?
Where did I "err", then "repent"??

Is deflection the ONLY weapon you ignorant anti-Catholics possess?
As usual, your garbled posts never make any sense . . .

BoL has never discussed abortion anywhere in this thread. You can't stop lying which is why I have you on ignore.

Jim said it best , I DID NOT see the question mark at the end of your sentence . I thought you were being serious and that you had
actually erred by telling one not to pray for another .

Honest mistake on your part.
