Another example of three distinct persons - The Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit, they being one Godhead - found in Acts 7
54 When they heard these things they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed at him with their teeth. 55 But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God, 56 and said, “Look! I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!”
57 Then they cried out with a loud voice, stopped their ears, and ran at him with one accord; 58 and they cast him out of the city and stoned him. And the witnesses laid down their clothes at the feet of a young man named Saul. 59 And they stoned Stephen as he was calling on God and saying, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” 60 Then he knelt down and cried out with a loud voice, “Lord, do not charge them with this sin.” And when he had said this, he fell asleep.
There are three together in this depiction. God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit which was in Stephen. Why was the Holy Spirit which is the Same Spirit that you say is the Spirit of God - in heaven with Jesus and also in Stephen looking at him/God and Jesus????
Each part of God is equal and yet individual within the Godhead. They agree because they are in each other just as we are in God through Christ who is in us by the Holy Spirit.God the Father is omni-aware of all things.
"Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father." Matt. 10:29
God's Spirit stretches out so that it can know all things and fill all things. There is no limit with God. He can do all things.
You might want to study out the following passage a bit and see what conclusions you come to.
It appears to follow the pattern that Christ was establishing in the book of John with His repeated references to "I and the Father are one" John 10:30- type statements.
"If a man love Me, ... My Father will love him, and WE (both) will come unto him, and make OUR abode (home) with him."
John 14:21-23
This is how the Holy Spirit comes to live inside a believer's heart. And it appears the Holy Spirit is both the Father and the Son.
Very interesting.Or the Kingdom of Heaven is where the Father and Jesus are. And since the kingdom of heaven is within you, that means the ones who dwell there are within as well.
And if we consider that the Holy Spirit dwelled between the cherubim, he acted as like a gateway to God in the temple. So it is with these temples of the body.
God's Spirit stretches out so that it can know all things and fill all things. There is no limit with God. He can do all things.
Not being a smart aleck. Sincerely curious about your opinion.I think we will get to understand this better once we reach heaven....:)
@GEN2REVNot being a smart aleck. Sincerely curious about your opinion.
Do you think we will be allowed into heaven if we have believed upon the wrong god?
If trinity is true, do you believe those who believe in a singular, single person, God will be allowed into heaven?
If God is ONE, do you believe those who believed in the trinity will be allowed into heaven?
It's my understanding that if you believe upon a god that is not the proper God of the Bible, Jesus will tell you that He never knew you, largely because you never really knew Him, and will direct you to His left ... to be with the goats.

Thanks Episkopos, for all your continued threads you share and respond to. You give me a lot to think about as I continue to pursue God in all things. As well, thanks to those who share and comment in these threads.
The following are just personal thoughts while reading this specific thread....
Are the words one speaks to another, have its own will? Once spoken, are the words still connected to the one who spoke it? What about the breath that carries those words to the listener? Does the breath act independently, with its own will? Or does it act according to the one who began the action of sending it out from their mouth?
This is a mystery...how both Father and Son share one Holy Spirit.
God is One.
But one what?
God is One Holy Spirit. God IS Spirit.
Does that mean that the Holy Spirit is a separate person?
Of course not.
There is no Trinity....there is a Godhead (Elohim) of both Father and Son. That's it!
A Godhead...that's biblical...a Trinity is Roman Catholic teaching that was invented to control people. No need to seek baptism in the Spirit if you are already baptized in a "trinity." But there is no power in the church that does this.
Instead we need for God's Spirit to truly empower us...and guide us into life. No need to control the faith of others by a outward religious straitjacket. No need for an ecclesiastical hierarchy that pretends to represent God WITHOUT God's presence.
No need for an outward dogmatic religion that avoids God's presence and power.
We need to enter into the love and presence of God by His Spirit to have fellowship with both the Father AND the Son.
It's time to abandon catholic Sunday school dogmas that take the life and power away from the Church.
What say you?
Father, Son and Holy Spirit are deeply present in Scripture; end of Matthew 28; John chapter 1; Romans 8; John's First Epistle, etc.I’m not completely convinced in the trinity. But I do have questions.
1 Corinthians 6:16-17 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh. [17] But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
Concerning flesh: is it mind, body and soul? Or is does this come from an trinity theology? If those joined unto the Lord is one spirit ..then is that one spirit with mind, body and soul?
This is how the Holy Spirit comes to live inside a believer's heart. And it appears the Holy Spirit is both the Father and the Son.
Whoever can hear of the Godhead being twofold...let them hear.
We can understand....
What was Gods IDEA, THOUGHT, by what HE does.
Gods WORD, by what HE SAID
Gods POWER, by His IDEA, SAYING, becoming manifested, ie brought into existence.
