"God never allows those who are
genuinely saved to
completely fall away."
It has happened & is happening now in these latter days; 2 Peter 2:18-22 It will even happen supernatural wise in these latter days 1 Timothy 4:1-2 & 2 Thessalonians 2:1-15 But even though in the next chapter, Paul addressed those that have fallen away from the faith and commands us to withdraw from them with His help, we do so to not treat them as the enemy, but admonish them as brothers still 2 Thessalonians 3:1-15
So even saved believers can go astray religiously ( Titus 1:16 ).
Matthew 12:1-7 has the Pharisees seeking to condemn His disciples for picking ears of corn on the sabbath and thus profaning the sabbath day. Jesus pointed out 2 incidences where O.T. saints had profaned the sabbath but were guiltless because they were in the temple. Then He directed their attention to the present on how One greater than the Temple was here for why His disciples were guiltless for profaning the sabbath.
This passage in scripture is often overlooked but for the average sabbath day keeper today that would ask how and why...
1 Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
So I understand why we are not to judge anyone for not keeping the sabbath day or even if they wanted to honor Him on the sabbath day without judging anyone for not observing the sabbath day because Jesus is in us always for why He is able to make us stand.
Romans 14:4 Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand. 5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. 6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks. 7 For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself. 8 For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's. 9 For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living. 10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. 11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. 12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God. 13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.
So saved believers can go astray religious wise if they judge others for not observing the sabbath day, even though they can honor Him that day if they want to, but because He is in us always, is why all believers are guiltless for profaning the sabbath because He is able to make us stand.
This is just an example of Titus 1:16 as there are other religious works that a saved believer can go astray by in iniquity that denies Him in one way or another, and unless they repent, they are at risk of being left behind, but still saved.
