That sounds like something a kiwi would drink! (I think I'm using that in the correct, friendly context)There's canned coconut milk.
Mass produced shop-bought fruit cake, or like some wedding cake can be horrible but a home-made fruit cake made with quality ingredients can be delicious. My mum's were lovely. I on;y ever made one Christmas cake and it was so nice. Sadly my husband doesn't like the fruit that goes into one.
Coconut milk is a dairy substitute and very common here, even though coconut palms aren't grown here. That sounds like something a kiwi would drink! (I think I'm using that in the correct, friendly context)
Here in Canada, my son might call me a coconut, especially if I ate one of his wife's kiwi's. That's one weird-looking fruit!
Really. In my house, it's almost a term of endearment. When I do something absent-mindedly, my son will say, "You coconut, you," and I'll say, "Yeah, I know!" I never thought of it as being racial. Here, it's more to do with a coconut being like wood.Coconut milk is a dairy substitute and very common here, even though coconut palms aren't grown here.
Calling someone a coconut is a no-no. It's an offensive form of racial discrimination likely to result in violence or legal action.
Yeah... coconut head means woody... thick... not too smart... lol But certainly is not a what @Stumpmaster has described it as. Must be the geographical location difference.Really. Around here, it's "weed." I think weed can turn one into a coconut. I figured by now, after a few years of it being legal, that the novelty would've worn off. Sigh. I also said that rap would never get anywhere. I am old. I do like rock...as long as it's not too loud! Not as much as I used to. LolYeah... coconut head means woody... thick... not too smart... lol But certainly is not a what @Stumpmaster has described it as. Must be the geographical location difference.
I still think of cookware when I hear the word POT.... lol
Honestly... I do not understand why the need for over-kill on the pot shops.... We seem to have one on every corner... and then we have the reserve... and they have 3 different ones. It's crazy. But they did the same thing with methadone clinics in London.Around here, it's "weed." I think weed can turn one into a coconut. It's not confined to NZ, but varies in usage from being a derogatory reference to Maoris and Polynesians, to being an accusation that a dark skinned person sides with perceived white oppressors.Yeah... coconut head means woody... thick... not too smart... lol But certainly is not a what @Stumpmaster has described it as. Well... on that note... I took out the reference of calling myself that in my above Good morning thread... I certainly do NOT want to offend ANYONE. Thanks for the heads up... Words have strange meanings all over the world. It's not confined to NZ, but varies in usage from being a derogatory reference to Maoris and Polynesians, to being a dark skinned person who sides with perceived white oppressors.
They're gonna have to start supplying people or things will be even worse. I've believed this for a long time. Take the preoccupation with getting dope out of the way and you free the person up to spend their time and energy on other things like learning how to live.Honestly... I was so sad when I went to visit my daughter at the end of August.... the homeless population was out of this world... the down town area is ruined... and what was a hope for a better future for the East Village is NOT ever going to be able to be materialized because of this problem.
I think BC is the mother of a huge program of which you have just stated.... and it WORKS... There is a clinic for the homeless in downtown London... and one of the counsellors there was trying to bring forth this type of initiative... but I imagine he got shot down... it's not a popular treatment plan in the eyes of those who do not understand addiction. They're gonna have to start supplying people or things will be even worse. Dr. Gabor Mate' is someone I've followed for many years. Give it time...unfortunately the problem will have to get bigger first.I think BC is the mother of a huge program of which you have just stated.... and it WORKS...
