you certainly can not do anything after to earn it

"So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure: Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer" (2 Thessalonians 1:4-5)

What if you aren’t counted worthy in the end? Having not endured unto the end?

As paul said. Are you foolish.

Have I said that you must be physically circumcised? No I haven’t. That was the main reason Paul called the Galatians foolish.

"Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing." (Galatians 5:2)

They wanted to observe the ceremonial aspects of the law, like circumcision and so on:

"Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years. I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain." (Galatians 4:10-11)

He certainly was not rebuking them for wanting to perform the moral righteousness of the law. For Paul himself said:

"If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another. Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil. Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth. Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you." (Ephesians 4:21-32)

There’s a whole bunch of commandments there my friend!

So if you are saved, acknowledge this:

"If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord." (1 Corinthians 14:37)

I know what your problem is. In every post you talk of doing works of the flesh. Think of our relationship with God as a marriage, as an affair of the heart. No actual work is involved except a little tender love. Sometimes our love grows cold, we look for other things, and we drift apart...
.
My problem is the thought that salvation must be maintained by our works, We can try to convince ourselves we do not believe this by changing it to say lack of work. But where do those lack of works come from, The flesh.

Once again. If perfection is required. and we can not be perfect. We can never in the flesh earn salvation. Or as you put it. Lose salvation because we are not good enough.

That is a different gospel.

Good luck trying to earn your salvation.

Jesus has done it all. It's all God's work. Sit back and bask in the smile of his love and never turn away.

I do.

If I was you I would sit back and place my faith in God and not worry about what I may or may not do. My eternity is not based on that. God saved me knowing everything I have done and will do.. And he loves me inspite of myself.

"For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins," (Hebrews 10:26)

"It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God." (Hebrews 10:31)

Why would the saved writer of Hebrews bother writing these scriptures if it was not possible to fall into consequences of them?

Humble myself? I am not the one claiming to be perfect. I own my sin.

I have owned the sins of the old man.

The new man has none.

“… put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness." (Ephesians 4:24)

So @Eternally Grateful , get in the Spirit to realize the power of this scripture:

"Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." (Matthew 5:48)

Already answered.

"I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth." (1 John 2:21)

The scriptures are truth.

“Answers” that make the truth of the scripture void are not “answers”.

"Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition." (Matthew 15:6)

The tradition of Once Saved Always Saved is a potent tradition indeed!

Paul said in rom 7 He did what he did not want to do.

That’s not what Paul said.

Paul explains the condition of men in the flesh. If you are not born again, you will do the evil you do not want to do.

But it is impossible for born again men in the Spirit to to do evil.

"But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit" (Romans 8:9)

"For while we were in the flesh, our sinful passions were at work in our members" (Romans 7:5)

"But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit" (Romans 8:9)

Tell that to the Saved man in Paul’s Church that slept with his own Mother.....maybe his mother-in-Law....

I am not asking you to make excuses, I just do not want you to sin.
.
No one wants to sin

But if we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves. and there is no truth in us.

And if I do sin. I have an abba father a can go to. Because I am his child.. And I do not have to worry about if he will forgive me or not.

Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God.

Why would the pure in heart sin? I do not think they would.

God looks on the heart. Sin tarnishes.

This is why I said "do not sin."

Tell that to the Saved man in Paul’s Church that slept with his own Mother.....maybe his mother-in-Law....

Paul’s desire was to have him delivered to Satan for the destruction of the flesh that the spirit MAY be saved; not that it will be saved.

Which is why you need to be as though your flesh is no longer alive in you!

"So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus." (Romans 6:11)

Otherwise, having your flesh destroyed upon deliverance to Satan is a very real possibility! And you might not be saved after that either!!

"you are to deliver this man to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord." (1 Corinthians 5:5)

So if you reckon yourself to be still in the flesh, and you can identify with the man that does the evil he doesn’t want to do, you are in grave danger my friend!

So John lied?

I will be pure in heart separated from
My flesh when I am glorified. Until then as Paul said My flesh lists against the spirit. My flesh is still here. I do
Not love as required 100% of the day. No one does if you think you do you are their with Michiah and John says deceived
