I know! But here is here and we must as much as it lies within us to be peaceable with him. Many precious saints reside within Catholicism. they may be dwarves and severely deformed spiritually by the plethora of false doctrine, but I expect to see many Catholics in the kingdom . for the gospel is still there and I know many Catholics who trust in Christ and not RCC doctrine or works for salvation. Generally speaking, when a Catholic starts reading SCripture apart from the catechism or a priest "interpreting" SCripture for them, they tend ot leave the church just like Jw's do when they read the bible apart from watchtower doctrine.

Strange I’ve been reading scripture 30 plus years

Noah’s Ark of salvation:

only those in the ark were saved!
Those outside the ark died in their sins.

Jesus ark of salvation the church:

only those in the church are saved!
Those outside the church die in their sins!

1 Pet 3:20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us!

Jesus and his church are one

Christ and His church are one, what Christ did the church continues to do, the church is an extension of Christ!
To attack the church is to attack Christ!
Acts 9:4

What authority does Christ have?
What power does Christ have?
What mission / ministry does Christ have?

Peter, the apostles and their successors have the same authority, power, and mission! Jn 20:21 as my father sent me, even so send I you!

The apostles are Christ’s successors!
They have authority to send others as well, apostle means one who is sent!

Where in the gospels of Jesus Christ does it say to use words of prophets for to trick questions to lure people into your beliefs or does the gospels actually warn against such people as being not of God?

The church he founded on Peter and the apostles Matt 16:18 jn 10:16

The church was meant to be build on this rock "Jesus Christ" by Peter but not through their doctrine I am not sure how much longer God will put up with the church:

Matthew 16:18 NKJV
And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.

  • John 10:16 (NKJV)
And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock and one shepherd.
  • Psalms 62:6 (NKJV)
He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved.
The church was to be build upon Jesus Christ gospel not upon Peter here is where the church went wrong:
  • Hebrews 6:1 (NKJV)
Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God,
They literally went on to lay again the very foundations they didn't want to, repentance from dead works and non-genuine faith towards our Father over time as they drifted from Christ doctrine now many worship Paul and others as the way to live.

why mention peter?
Why give peter the keys of the kingdom
Jurisdictional authority?
Why say whatever peter binds?

why make peter the father or head of the church on earth?

Is the word of God limited to scripture?

Usually two thoughts come up into peoples mind when they hear those words, the Bible, or Jesus. Christians recognize the Bible as the Word of God, and also that Jesus was referred to as the Word, God's spokesman.

People of course receive God's words through the Bible primarily for sure, but also through Jesus, and through his disciples as well whom he sent to act in his behalf Mat 28:19,20; Acts 1:8; Rom 10:14,15

Well then you have been reading it with the Catholics rose colored glasses. the fact you believe that Mary never had sex which contradicts the clear teaching of Scripture says lots.

The fact you equate the sacraments as necessary for salvation says a lot. etc.etc.

No, but it can be limited to those who don't listen.
Faith cometh by what?

Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Rom 1:8 First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.

I don't think they had the bible.. So Faith comes by hearing .. testimonies, miracles, healings, ... and hearing by the WORD of God.
It's in the WORD..
Jesus IS the WORD.

Sometimes God speaks through people. Maybe not in words but in actions.
If God wants to talk to you... He can reach you outside of space and time.
God isn't limited to pages in a book.

The WORD is in You..
If you believe that Christ is in you, then the WORD is in you.

1Jo 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

Scripture isn't Him. We abide in Him. Scripture is the map.
Hugs
Amen!
And we need to continue eating His flesh and drinking His blood.

"Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed." John 6:53-55

The lifeblood of the flesh is that red blood flowing through the veins of each physical body. Whereas the lifeblood the New Man is the Holy Spirit within us leading us and guiding us into the Truth, God's Truth!

"It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life" John 6:63

"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.: John 1:14

"[God] Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life." II Cor 3:6

Luk 3:2 Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word of God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness.

Jhn 1:23 He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.

Isa 40:1 Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God.
Isa 40:2 Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the LORD'S hand double for all her sins.
Isa 40:3 The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
Isa 40:4 Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:
Isa 40:5 And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

I have been reading it for more than 40 years if time is important. Without the quickening Spirit, what is it [=manna]? A dry empty and even dead thing, is it not? A barren place then would be Zion the place for Him to rest His head! The son of man with no place to lay his head. Give God the glory that it need not be so!

..!
Rather Jesus is the Head of the Body. The Body of Christ is to be all of the parts consisting of each of us made flawless and perfect for Him to be able to rest His Head... that is Jesus on and in us...

"And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head." Matt 8:20
