Why did you leave out the rest of the sentence and respond to it as if I was saying something else?
Because you posted it twice now and I had a little fun with it (did you see my laughy face?)
As I said, humans came up with doing that. God didn't. God didn't create the first humans with a document that shows legalized citizenship. God allows all human to live on this planet dictating who goes where. We should be humble and thankful to Him, and if we truly are, then we wouldn't be so arrogant and selfish as to think it's our place to keep others out from here or there when God allows us all to live on earth in the first place.
We know, we know, we read it twice in two posts, this is the third time around
So, you weren't making judgments based on external observations?
Yes, even a doctor can SEE you are OBESE if you are by EXTERNAL OBSERVATIONS. This is something VISUALLY OBSERVABLE, no scale necessary. How difficult can this possibly be for you?
You believe Jesus would tell the doctor, thou shalt not judge what is only visually observable as obese because he said Judge not?
Thats ridiculous
Is it not true that Jesus said if you judge you'll be judged in return by the same measure?
So tell us, what will doctors do when they meet Jesus after they have judged all the patients they have seen as obese (and by their external observations) before reccomending some helpful advice, like diet and exercise?
Or do you believe the diagnosis for obesity can only be determined by bloodwork? Or some other way I am not aware of.
Do you believe the diagnosis of pink eye, or chicken pox cannot be judged as what it is by the sight of the eyes? Etc
That's not what I asked. I asked, "In all your study of Jesus's teachings you didn't walk away understanding that we should help those are suffering and cause suffering?"
Those who are suffering evil and those who are causing evil you mean.
Thats why I posted the man taken by theives Jesus showed who the good Samaritan was, the one that showed mercy to the one who was left for dead. That man didnt go looking for the theives, the apostle said, "let no man suffer as a thief". Jesus was betrayed by a thief.
Judas was a thief, and it say of him
Psalm 109:12
Let there be none to extend mercy unto him: neither let there be any to favour his fatherless children.
So you should rebuke them, as the same are listed among that which shall not inherit the Kingdom of God
1 Cr 6:10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. |
"Love is patient and is kind. Love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud, doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesn’t rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things." 1 Cor 13:4-7
And Jesus is all of that in this doing
Rev 3:19
As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
And likewise we should not hate our brother
Lev 19:17 T
hou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.
And absolutely we should try to covert the sinner from the error of their way
James 5:20 Let him know,
that he which converteth the sinner from
the error of his way shall
save a soul from death, and
shall hide a multitude of sins.
Its all love. Its just not the oogey, googey, marshmallow fluff sort of lovey dovey sort of love
