The passages I cited indicate the reputation of Jesus spread and people were following his teachings - even to the point of having divine power to cast out demons.

How do you equate the ability of men to cast out demons in the name of Jesus to be the same as men who are follow His teachings?? The passage literally says that the person casting out demons is not following Jesus. That is why the Apostles said to Jesus we forbade him because he does not follow us. It LITERALLY says that the person casting out demons DID NOT FOLLOW JESUS..... They had the ability to cast out demons in the name of Jesus and Jesus told his apostles he was OK with that. Do you think Jesus would be OK with that person twisting His words into something he didn't mean? You are confusing ability to do something IN His name to freedom to read Scripture and interpret it into your own truth.

Fascinating......Soooooo according to you Jesus was ok with this "someone" casting out demons in His name even though he wasn't hanging out in their "group"? You think that the "someone" who was casting out was a follower of Jesus teaching's and that is why he was able to cast out demons? Even though Jesus said about those casting out demons ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’ That is a bit confusing. According to your theory..... It's pretty easy to figure out. That "someone" was in fact casting out demons is His name. But he wasn't following the teachings of Jesus. That is why the Apostles said "he was not following us". Following doesn't literally mean being in the same group.....that's silly.

its quite simple actually, people teaching the gospel without knowing the gospel. As a result, you end up with an ever changing gospel. We see this in galatians 1:6.

I remember that The Lutheran Church always had written on pamphlets etc that it was the Catholic Church. and the same with the Church of England as such always had the same claim.

So within all Churches regardless is a Mob who are not worthy of Christ Jesus and they work to undermine Christ Jesus, over my life time I have seen my Church the Church of England become sick and then become a joke now and the same can be said for the Lutheran Church and the RCC has changed it's spots as well to become a Joke. I have been involved with other Churches as well Methodist for one and boy is that a joke.

One thing they all have in common is that they all do not abide in Jesus Christ in fact overall, but for a few people within any Church that is truly born again. we can find True worthy Christians anywhere, but up top is Corrupted, as it always has been, because it's a business first to them. Not all up in high positions are corrupted tho.

One I know who makes such claims has a list, and he himself can make one born again.

But as for me, I just seek for many years and then he just turned up out of the blue and bingo I was Saved, just like that, 100% faith in Jesus Christ ! not 99% faith.
It was because I knew who he truly was.

Now I thought I knew who he was due to others and etc, all the worldly point's of views, but This one can not explain into words so much, you have to experience such to truly understand.
True Christianity is a relationship with Jesus Christ himself. he is with you and will never leave one who is truly born again.
It's just like the second coming will be to all who are alive at the Coming.

Now I had much faith as anyone I ever knew before hand in Jesus being the Christ, but I was filled with the Holy Spirit with no doubt from that point on, I could not turn back, I was Saved !
You know I read the Bible everyday for years before that day.
I was raised to be a Christian from my family, so I do not remember not being a Christian and I went to Church and Bible study and Loved that ! But when I was truly Saved then I had to come out from them. Only Jesus Christ was my Salvation from then on, I did not need them and their worldly religion dribble anymore. such as them only made me feel ill, for they are so wrapped up in worldly works, not to mention them who preach about worldly works in fact do so themselves, only they do not understand that they are doing so.

Look, as to our regards the only thing worthy of God is to do his will. abide in him and the works done are in his Name only, it's not of ourselves at all but is from him. we do not abide in Mans works, such things can be burnt up, because they are not worthy of God in fact they don't cut it.
