.
The Greek word translated "child" is somewhat ambiguous. It's translated
"servant" in numerous places throughout the gospels.

That works pretty well because it sings with Isa 42:1, which says:

"Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul
delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to
the Gentiles."

It is a reference to the son of God. The child of God. Nothing more or less than that.

It was the translators choice of rendering Faith. The original word was:
pai'ß Pais (paheece);
Word Origin: Greek, Noun, Strong #: 3816

  1. a child, boy or girl
    1. infants, children
  2. servant, slave
    1. an attendant, servant, spec. a king's attendant, minister
Some versions use servant instead of child, which in my opinion is the best English rendering considering Jesus stature at the time of his being called that

Agreed:

Acts 4:27

(KJV) For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,

(ASV) for of a truth in this city against thy holy Servant Jesus, whom thou didst anoint, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel, were gathered together,

(ESV) for truly in this city there were gathered together against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, along with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel,

(ISV) For in this city both Herod and Pontius Pilate actually met together with the gentiles and the people of Israel to oppose your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed,

(YLT) for gathered together of a truth against Thy holy child Jesus, whom Thou didst anoint, were both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with nations and peoples of Israel,

(GNB) For indeed Herod and Pontius Pilate met together in this city with the Gentiles and the people of Israel against Jesus, your holy Servant, whom you made Messiah.

(NET) “For indeed both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, assembled together in this city against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed,

(TPT) “In fact, Herod and Pontius Pilate, along with Jews and non-Jews, met together to take their stand against your holy servant, Jesus the Messiah.

My Bible (Revised Standard Version" uses the word "servant" rather than "child."

"child" was actually supposed to be translated as "Servant".

And thought the KJV boys were infallible

Colossians 1:24
Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church:

what about behind? Should it be lacking

so much for the finished work of Christ heresy, what is lacking??

My father was adopted at the age of 12 yrs. I have his adoption papers and he was listed as an "infant" as, that was how they were written up back then. Just sayin :)
