I know a bit about the Pope, my friend was a catholic.
Why do catholic’s want to kiss his hand?
Do they think he is God?
Also what about all these Catholic priests who were charged with sex .
They sound like they were wolves in sheep’s clothing.
Hiding behind Almighty Gods Name, to carry out their despicable acts.
You see, how God uncovered them?
God is always watching, he allows the Pope authority on the earth....
What actual purpose do Catholic’s serve in Gods service?
What is also to be revered about the Pope, I think some want to kiss his feet as well....that’s worshiping an idol is it not?
What does Gods word say about worshipping idols?
Do Catholic’s and the pope believe they are Born Of The Spirit?
Maybe I will get some answers from Catholic’s themselves.....?
If they believe they are Born Again.....what does God say about those who have been Born Of His seed?
Have they been Born Again of imperishable seed?
Also what’s with all this confessions they do.?
What brings them to the understanding that their religion is God Truth?
How did they come to that conclusion?
LOL. That's funny. "I know a bit about the Pope. My friend was a Catholic." Is that your claim to fame and knowledge? That's like me saying, "Well, I know a bit about medicine. I had a classmate who became a doctor." Except in this case, there is no guarantee that your Catholic friend actually knew his faith well. In fact, odds are, he/she didn't.
Let's see if we can answer some of your questions...
Why do catholic’s want to kiss his hand?
As a sign of respect for his office. Same reason enlisted military salute officers.
Do they think he is God?
Absolutely not.
They sound like they were wolves in sheep’s clothing. Hiding behind Almighty Gods Name, to carry out their despicable acts.
You see, how God uncovered them?
I'm not sure how to answer these, since they are just general polemical statements without any detail or facts associated with them
. It's similar to tellling someone, "Well, you're just a dirty rotten, low-down scoundrel!" Based on what, with what facts, in what context?
God is always watching, he allows the Pope authority on the earth.
God (Jesus) established the office we call Pope in Matt. 16:18-19. It was a dynastic office (means it was intended to have successors) and is in charge of Christ's Church here on earth. In Jesus' day, the kings had second-in-commands who ruled the kingdom when the king was not there (off to war, ill, etc.). Whatever this second-in-command ruled (bound or loosed) was backed up by the king upon his return. The symbol of this second-in-command's authority was a large key (2-3 ft. long) or two, that he carried over his shoulder. (Exmple of such an office is in Isaiah 22:22)
What actual purpose do Catholic’s serve in Gods service?
Catholics, who comprise the majority of Christians on earth, belong to the one, true Church founded by Jesus Christ. When Saul (St. Paul by his Hebrew name) was going around persecuting the first Christians, Jesus knocked him off his horse and asked him (Acts 9:4), "Saul, Saul, why do you persecute Me?" Note that Jesus didn't say, "Saul, Saul, why do you persecute My Church?" which he was actually doing, but "...why do you persecute
Me?" Jesus identifies as one with His Church! Persecute His Church and you persecute Christ!
What is also to be revered about the Pope, I think some want to kiss his feet as well....that’s worshiping an idol is it not?
The Pope governs and rules Christ's Church here on earth, with Christ's authority given the position. He is not worshiped. True worship, has at its core, sacrifice. No Catholic I know thinks that the Pope is anything but a man. However, he has Christ's authority, and therefore, should be so respected. We respect governors and presidents and kings (in other countries that have them) because of their position, not their personality.
What does Gods word say about worshipping idols?
God, and His Church, the Catholic Church, roundly condemns worshiping idols.
Every Catholic is
born again when he/she is Baptized. One key Scripture reference to being “born again” or “regenerated” is John 3:5, where Jesus says, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is
born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.”
This verse is so important that those who say baptism is just a symbol must deny that Jesus here refers to baptism. “Born again” some erroneous Christians claim the “water” is the preached word of God.
But the early Christians (the Christians closest in place and time to Christ's earthly walk)
uniformly identified this verse with Baptism. Water baptism is the way, they said, that we are born again and receive new life—a fact that is supported elsewhere in Scripture (Rom. 6:3–4; Col. 2:12–13; Titus 3:5). No Church Father referred to John 3:5 as anything other than
water baptism.
With regard to the Sacrament of Confession, look at John 20:19-23:
On the evening of that first day of the week, when the doors were locked, where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst and said to them, “Peace be with you.” When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. The disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord. Jesus said to them again,“Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.” And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the holy Spirit. Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained.”
Let's focus on the bold printed portions of this text. First of all, Jesus tells the Apostles that He is sending them "AS the Father has sent me". Well, how did the Father send Jesus? With ALL heavenly authority, INCLUDING the authority to forgive sins!
Next, Jesus "breathed on them." Only two times in ALL Scripture, does God "breathe" on man. Once in Genesis, when He breathed life into Adam, and once here, where Jesus "breathes" on the Apostles! Very important and significant event, both times.
Then, Jesus tells the Apostles, "Whose sins YOU forgive ARE forgiven them and whose sins YOU retain ARE retained." Jesus delegated His Godly authority to forgive sins to the Apostles and their successors. You may say, "Only God can forgive sins." Yes, but God can, and did, delegate His authority to the Apostles and their successors to forgive sins!
The Catholic Church alone can trace her roots directly back to Christ. The Orthodox didn't begin until 1054 A.D., but retained Apostolic Succession, and therefore, all seven Sacraments. Protestantism didn't begin until the 16th century! And it was begun by Catholics who strayed from the faith that had always been taught from the beginning. Today, there are literally tens of thousands of man-made, doctrinally contradicting Protestant denominations, made by mere men. And all are based on personal interpretation of Scripture, all disagreeing with one another at some point enough to create a new denomination. That cannot be the fullness of Christ's truths that He brought to mankind. The truth doesn't contradict itself.
