This is a prime example of a person who doesn’t really read the Bible but gets there information from other sources other than the Word.Again, to show the weakness of the argument, you fabricate from whole cloth an absurd Strawman.
God was the 1st Zionist. God ordered the polytheist Abraham to settle in the the land 5,000 years ago. Millenia later, under the leadership of Moses and Joshua, God commanded the Jews (Hebrews if you prefer) to conquer Judea. This area was later called by the Romans "Palestine" (from the word Philistines who were long since gone). And conquer the land they did - and held the land for millennia, longer than anyone.
The OT is quote clear that Israel sinned over the millennia, were judged by God to be conquered and dispersed among the nations of the world. A prophecy of them being re-born in a single day was made about 600 BC as they were exiled from their land. This was fulfilled in 1948. No nation has such a story, such a right to the land as Israel, a right bestowed by God himself!
For some reason, you want to pick up the story beginning in the 19th century with Modern Zionism, from the influence Theodor Herzl. I've heard ridiculous allegations that the Jews who settled Israel in 1948 were not genetic Jews or some such nonsense forming a basis for them not being "real" Jews or the Jews of the Bible. It's true that Jews do not have many converts but this line of thought is unadulterated racism.
If you bothered to read you would know that Israel (Biblical descendants of Israelites)
were given a new land… And that land is not within Palestine.
