True. The point was about “then”.
Well, that point is moot... we can't live in the past.

True. The point was about “then”.
Well, that point is moot... we can't live in the past.
Bad things happen in theology when we don’t know and / or don’t remember the past.
True up to a point... none the less, we live under the New Covenant now.
God no longer honors the old covenant.
He does bidness thru Jesus Christ now.
Not saying the Father is not still important.
But we pray in Jesus Name... we can only get saved in Jesus Name... we cast out devils in Jesus Name.
Some in the hebrew roots movement are denying Jesus to go back under the law of Moses... those doing that have falled from grace
Galatians 5:4
Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
Hebrew Roots Movement -> fraught with danger. Caveat emptor.
That’s not entirely true…Jesus is the ONLY Name that will get the ear of God.
Bs"dIn Isaiah 9:6 we also read: "For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called, Wonderful, Counselor, MIGHTY GOD, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." This child obviously refers to Jesus Christ -- and He is here identified as "Mighty GOD."
That’s not entirely true…
The old covenant has been taken away... under the New Covenant, we are told to pray to the Father in Jesus Name (John 14:16)... Those trying to come to God any other way than thru Jesus are thieves and robbers (John 14:16)
So God does not hear the prayers of those not praying to the Father in Jesus' Name.

But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword:
for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
It appears to me
the sword is coming your way very soon.
Bs"dYou are unaware of it? God come to earth in our form (human) so that we could/ can unmistakably see his nature/ character.
It was such an affront to us as people we couldn't bear his generosity/ purity, so we murdered him but he was raised from the dead. He has promised to return and collect all who embrace his reality.
These things have all been foretold by the Hebrew Prophets.
Bs"dDo you obey Jesus of Nazareth
Bs"dDo you obey Jesus of Nazareth?
Bs"dWho is the God of Israel? The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob?
Not Yahweh (Y-H-W-H).
Yahweh is a DESERT PAGAN God :
Continued By William F. Dankenbring
The Messiah as YHVH Personally Isaiah foretold, "A voice of one calling: 'In the desert prepare the way for the LORD; make straight in the wilderness a highway for our God" (Isa.40:3). John the Baptist fulfilled that role, crying in the deserts of Judea, preparing the way for Christ (John 1:23, 29-30). Therefore, Christ and the LORD must be identical!
In Isaiah 9:6 we also read: "For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called, Wonderful, Counselor, MIGHTY GOD, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." This child obviously refers to Jesus Christ -- and He is here identified as "Mighty GOD." Compare this statement with Isaiah 10:21 -- "A remnant will return, a remnant of Jacob will return to the Mighty God."
In Micah 5:2 we read further: "But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times." Paul wrote to the Colossians, "For in Christ all the FULLNESS OF THE DEITY lives in bodily form, and you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every power and authority" (Col.2:9-10). The Throne of YHVH Isaiah records that he actually saw the LORD. He declared, "In the year that king Uzziah died, I saw the Lord seated on a throne, high and exalted, and the train of his robe filled the temple. Above him were seraphs, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. And they were calling to one another: 'Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.' At the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook and the temple was filled with smoke. 'Woe to me!' I cried, 'I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and MY EYES HAVE SEEN the King, the LORD Almighty" (Isa.6:1-5). 54 The apostle John tells us that no one has seen the Father at any time (John 6:46). John also wrote, "No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, who is at the Father's side, has made him known" (John 1:18).
Putting these verses together, then, it becomes perfectly clear that the LORD Almighty whom Isaiah says he clearly saw, was none other than the One who became Jesus Christ! The writers of the New Testament applied many classic passages in the Old Testament which referred to YHVH directly to Christ. Both YHVH and Christ are the "shepherd" (Psalm 23:1; Isa.40:1-11; John 10:1-14; Heb.13:20; I Pet.2:25, 5:4). Both YHVH and Christ are referred to as the JUDGE at the last day (Psalm 50:1-6; II Thess.1:7-10). Both YHVH and Christ are referred to as leading captives (Psalm 68:15-18; Eph.4:8). Both are also regarded as the "stumbling stone" or "rock of offense" (Isa.8:12-15; I Peter 2:8). Both YHVH and Christ are identified as bringing their reward with them (Isa.40:9-11; 62:11-12; Rev.22:12). Both are known as the "Holy One" (Isa.43:3; Acts 3:14). Both YHVH and Christ are called "the first and the last" (Isa.44:6; Rev.1:7-8, 17-18; 2:8; 22:13). Both the LORD of the Old Testament and Christ are also known as "the searcher of the mind and heart" (Jer.11:20; 17:10; 20:12; Rev.2:23). Both are also known as the "branch" (Jer.23:5; Zech.3:8, 6;12). Both are also known as the "messenger of the covenant" (Mal.3:1-2; Matt.11:10). Both are also identified as the one whom we are to call upon their name for deliverance (Joel 2:32; Rom.10:9-15).

God is a spirit, but Elohim, have made us all.The Tanach, for the Christians the OT, teaches very clearly that there is only ONE God, and that is Y-H-W-H.
So if anybody wants to say that JC was God, or divine, than he has no choice than to say that Christ was Y-H-W-H, because there simply is no other God than Y-H-W-H.
But then you encounter the following problems:
If anybody says JC is the same as Y-H-W-H then you are stuck with the fact that Y-H-W-H is his own son and at the same time his own father.
Then you are stuck with the fact that when JC prays to his father, Y-H-W-H is praying to himself.
Luke 22:41-42: “and He knelt down and began to pray, saying, "Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me; yet not My will, but Yours be done."
So here Y-H-W-H has a different will than himself???
Even in heaven JC is subjected to the Father, according to Corinthians 15:28, Matthew 20:23, Fillipens 2:9, and others.
So Y-H-W-H is subjected to himself???
When Christ was hanging at the cross, he cried out: “My God, my God, why did you forsake me?” Matthew 27:46
So Y-H-W-H forsook himself???
Collossians 3:1; “set your hearts on things above, where JC is seated at the right hand of God.”
Y-H-W-H is sitting at his own right hand???
Y-H-W-H died at the cross, slaughtered by his own creatures?
If so, who resurrected him?
