Interesting. I had always felt that when God spoke to Adam, Abraham, Moses etc that it was an inner knowing....I had never ever thought of it being by vision. Mainly because when it is dreams or visions , the bible says so..

When Gideon was 'speaking and hearing' from God on the matter of the fleece ...I don't believe it was by vision or dream at all.

He also spoke to Abraham face-to-face and otherwise.

He spoke to Moses out of the whirlwind and fire. Not sure if he ever spoke to them face-to-face.

God in the minimum spoke to Gideon via angels. Not sure how else.

I know that God "cannot" do certain things, like go against His own nature...Goodness, Love, Justness, faithfulness, etc. But, did He not in a way "re-produce" Himself in The Person of Jesus Christ?

No, REVEALED Himself, Through His Word, in a "likeness", men could HEAR and men could SEE.

God has done that from the beginning of mankind. (Ie such as the Angel of the Lord, that visited Abraham, with two other angels, Abraham, called men... Gen 18)

It was in the last days, God revealed Himself, through His Word, in a "likeness" as a man THAT, God said to CALL, the Son of God, Jesus,.....Christ.....and Lord, and Quickening Spirit...and Savior, and Redeemer and other things...

[2] Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

"Thing" ~ pretty confident ha, something called a "baby" was revealed coming forth out from Mary's womb alive, called "born".

But...here it is referenced, "a holy thing".
Thus my comment, I believe was proper.
(Sometimes spiritual things are referred as "it", and that bugs people.)

God Person ? ~ there is one I know of. ( and likely why "person" becomes a term for "teaching". Not particularly my favorite, because I think it tends to infer God IS Human <--- a creation, which I do not believe. )

Scripture says God "prepared" a BODY for Jesus, for when He would come into the world. Human persons do not have "prepared" bodies. They have procreated bodies from human Seeds (sperm & egg), and are "fashioned /formed/ from dust, by God". (God gives to every seed it's own body). Jesus' body was prepared. Christ IS the Seed of God.

[38] But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.

Ga 3
[16] Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

Yes, "revealed" rather than reproduce is a much better word, lol.
I have often wondered about the "Persons" of the Trinity and, it does seem as though that phrase limits God to humans.
I think I shall think of Him as The Great I Am because...He IS that He is...no equal, no rival...no human imaginations. He just IS!

He has Appeared as a DOVE, so men could SEE, "something" being spoken of "just happened".

He has Appeared as a BURING BUSH, so a man "directed his attention to the Bush, to Hear the Voice coming from the Bush".

Gods Ability, to APPEAR, In the fashion of "natural" things, that He created, is not a "new" to what His Power can do.

It simply becomes something "new to a mans EYES" who was given the "ability" to SEE, natural things, and "comprehend", a particular "thing", is God appearing to the man, in a natural thing, "a man CAN SEE".

Scripture says, MEN can not SEE God.
Yet, SOME men testify, they HAVE Seen God.

How is that so?

The testimony of men, is they "Recognized", the "thing" they SAW, "was" God, in their presence.

If we look for extra biblical revelation, we look to a different Christ. How do the many false Christs that Jesus warned about end up deceiving many? Be cause people listen to voices beyond scripture thinking it is he.
