Ok, so you agree with me that a person can be a follower of Christ, aka "Christian", without being "born again". Am I understanding you correctly?
Yes, you are a Christian.

Why do you believe that I'm not baptized?
Because you keep saying you're not "born again."

Now, if you have been baptized with water, yeah, you are. This is your public declaration of being reborn, victory over sin and death, purified by the blood. Total renewal of the spirit.

Thank you.

Is it POSSIBLE that one can proclaim the following but not be born again?

Jesus is Lord!
I believe in Jesus.
I believe that Jesus is the Christ.
I believe that Jesus sacrificed himself on the cross to save ALL people.
I believe in Jesus's commandments and strive to follow them, especially the commandment to love others.
I believe that Jesus was resurrected on the third day.
I believe that Jesus is the ONLY path to salvation.
I believe that Jesus sits on the right-hand side of our Heavenly Father.
Would you watch this particular dialog for your encouragement NTR?.....and give me some feedback

So a person who gets baptized is also "born again"?

Then I must have misunderstood, but otherwise, if you were, I don't think you have anything to worry about.

You can be a Christian and have another thing to do. Jesus just told us to do it.

I said that I didn't know if I have been "born again". I don’t believe that we can make ourselves be born again. I believe that is something that happens to and for us and I simply don't KNOW for a fact if that has happened to/for me. :)

Should there be a follow-up question to ask those who reply "Christian" if they are born again?

I've been assured that people who declare that "Jesus is Lord" and who strive to follow his commandments cannot accurately be described as "Christian" unless they have been "born again".

Maybe those who profess to being "born again" should get a sparkly, gold cross by their name to differentiate them from the unwashed masses. How about it?
Luke 11:43 Woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye love the uppermost seats in the synagogues, and greetings in the markets.

If you have been baptized with water and Spirit (meaning you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior) then you are truly born again.

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come." = reborn/born again

We throw that "Born Again" phrase around so casually.

What do you think Jesus meant when He said, "You must be born again"? (Or "born from Above"?)

What has happened to you?

How do you know that it's happened?

I appreciate your feedback. I don't know if I'm "born again" and even if I thought I was, I would be reluctant to say so publicly.
