Finally had some decent rain 134mm last 3 days, 41c on thursday again start cooling soon.

Hahaha! My sibs and I used to make them in our back yard as kids. We ate lunch in there and played games...they were actually pretty warm!

I grew up in central California (SF Bay Area) where we never had the makings for igloos available from mother nature. I always wished for it, but it never happened.

Well thank you for that. Of course when I was older I spent time in New Jersey, West Berlin and Wyoming where the ice and snow was adequate, but alas childhood was gone...

Yes, that is one thing God does not give us back, time...but then, I still play in the snow with my dogs and make dog angels

Yeah I did that with my own children in Wyoming. Now it is not likely because this year I am less able to tolerate the cold than ever before. I don't stay outside any longer than absolutely necessary. Also, while I always loved to play with my children and grandchildren, the couple of times I tried with my one great-grandson, I almost was unable to get up off the floor alone.

Oh this is a good place to make an good announcement. My grandson who married only this last September called us yesterday to tell us that we should expect another great-grandchild later this year. Give God the glory!

We went from -40 to +6C ....... amazing.

46 degrees difference in 3 days.

Has nothing to do with climate change, global warming, or whatever it's called these days.

I saw the same temp. changes in the 1970's and 80's.

Nothing new under the sun.

Why on earth did the first Eskimo's settle up north and say " Oh what a lovely place to build an Igloo...we will settle here and establish ourselves"

WHY?

I think northern Canada was settled as trading spots and resting places for the Gold-rush as they all moved north west... but Eskimo's? !!!!
