We can't SEE how God has caused the sinner to become the Righteousness of God in Christ.
We can't SEE a Spiritual BIRTH.

But you can witness their behavior, that should reflect, "spiritual fruit" that is cognizant of the New Birth.

Here is the issue tho, with "fruit inspection".

The DEVIL has read all those verses, so, He gets his people to FAKE FRUIT.

So, what a real believer has to do, is find out who is faking it..... and who is bearing it.

And the way you do that, is find out if the "christian" teaches that "Salvation can be lost".,

If they do that, then they are a FAKE Believer, or they are a "fallen from Grace" and deceived Christian.

See, no real Christian, is going to teach that Jesus who is Eternal Life, can be lost once He lives in the Born again, unless they are truly deceived.
But a heretic will teach that cross denying lie, and LOVE DOING IT, as it makes their flesh feel so carnal.
And when you teach that this eternal life (CHRIST in you)>.. can be lost then you are teaching that Eternal Life is not Eternal and instead... Salvation is based on continuing behavior.. and yet our Salvation was never given to us based on how we behave.
It was given to us based on the finished work of Jesus on the CROSS, by FAITH.

Its "Grace Through Faith" not... "do good works and be saved and stay saved".
That IS SEEING the rebirth . YE shall know them by THEIR FRUITS .
You two are saying the same thing . You are actually aruging with a lady that is saying what you are trying to say as well .
Yeah , that be true , many are FAKE believers . PS fallen from grace , AINT GOOD . IT SURE as heck aint GOOD at all .
I sure would not want to be in the shoes of those who FELL FROM grace . EITHER WE UNDER GRACE or we are NOT UNDER GRACE .
TIME we stop preaching acroynms and start preaching JESUS is all i can say .

Yes, that is a better way to put it. I just meant that someone who outwardly willfully sins is deemed righteous by God. What do you think about that. Do you agree?

The DEVIL has read all those verses, so, He gets his people to FAKE FRUIT.

I praise God that I KNOW I am abiding IN Christ and have assurance of eternal life. I cannot speak for anyone else. There are some who believe they have eternal life, however, they never had it to begin with. I was in that state for the first 30 years of my life. But when I finally repented I literally felt the heaviness of the sin nature or old man lift out of me, and I've never been the same again. Now 46 years later, it is even more so.
Salvation is based on continuing behavior.. and yet our Salvation was never given to us based on how we behave.
It was given to us based on the finished work of Jesus on the CROSS, by FAITH.

Its "Grace Through Faith" not... "do good works and be saved and stay saved".

You saying "Salvation is based on continuing behavior" is a new statement from you. And I still agree with your second sentence. Our bad behavior is what we repent from, and Jesus changes us to live in a "continuing behavior" from His power from the cross. Some people can act righteous on Sunday, but cannot continue throughout the week.

Those are disciples of Christ, who were following Jesus and imitating Jesus, or as you and Episkopos are explaining..."doing Righteousness" as in "works".. "Self effort'.

I didn't read E's post. There is nothing wrong in self effort if we have been given the authority to cast out devils in the name of Jesus. It is better than doing nothing and letting the person suffer.

Don't throw out the baby with the bathwater.

You saying "Salvation is based on continuing behavior"

Salvation is not based on our behavior at all.
Its based Christ's finished work on the Cross.

How is it that a saved sinner, who is now a Saint that is found "in Christ". runs around years later, thinking they are now the finisher of their Salvation, when they never saved themselves to begin with.. ??

How is it that the same good deeds you can do, not being born again, become to some self righteous people, their "righteous works'.
= Why dont they realized that if you give to the poor for 45 yrs as a lost hell bound water baptized sinner....... and now 46 yrs later, you give to the poor as a born again, 1 yr old Christian, that this FRUIT, this GOOD DEED, is exactly the same in both cases.
"works".

Im am always amazed to read how someone believes that their good deed-ism, after they are saved, has now become to them "doing righteousness", when they could have done the very same DEEDS, when they were not saved.., and many did.

That they can't understand that God does not view our LIFESTYLE and our DEEDS as "righteous" or "righteousness", EVER.... is not going to change, in their head.

Some people, will never ever understand that Salvation is not us doing it, but its Jesus who DID IT, already.

Spiritually, God sees his people as perfect and complete in Christ. This is also the condition for receiving the Holy Spirit. We receive the Holy Spirit by hearing and believing the Gospel and not by works, Galatians 3:2.

On the day of Pentecost 8,000 Jews heard Peter's Gospel and were converted to Christ, Acts 2:41 and Acts 4:4. It was the Gospel that gave birth to The New Testament Church. After Pentecost the apostles went everywhere preaching Christ. The miracles that followed was a confirmation that their message was of God.

Paul wrote, "So then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God" (which is the Gospel) Romans 10:17.

Satan doesn't want you to know that when you accepted Jesus as your savior you were translated from the Kingdom of Satan into the Kingdom of God in a microsecond.
Amen! And he ↓ does not want us to know that God Has Three Tenses Of Salvation,
which is causing Massive Confusion about God's Simple Will ↑ ↑ ↑:

"God is not the author of confusion, but of Peace, as in all the churches of the saints."
(1Co 14:33)

Amen.

To become saved, no. But after? What about falling into temptation instead of taking the way of escape?

Did you save yourself to begin with?

So, there is your Salvation.
Its not something you did, and its not something you maintain.

Salvation is not....>"Jesus started it, and now i finish it".

When the Holy Spirit is finishing maturing the fruit of the Spirit in me, I need to cooperate. Interesting that you don't.

But to bear fruit and don't even when IN HIM, we have a lot to do with that, otherwise we can be cut off. John 15:1-4. We must abide in Him, and that is on us by obeying His commandments 1 John 3:24

Bearing spiritual fruit : does not include trying to stay saved.

Only JESUS Saves, and we can't do that work, but God knows that a lot of self righteous people are trying to stay saved by SELF EFFORT.

A.) Jesus who saved you, keeps you saved.

There is no other way to be saved, stay saved, or go to Heaven.

"well, behold, what if i stop believing and lose my faith".

A.) Are you BORN AGAIN? Then that is the Eternal Security that only comes by being born again.

Or as Jesus teaches... "All that Believe in me, i give unto them eternal life, and they shall NEVER PERISH".

"""But what if i""

= "Never PERISH""

"But what if i ""

= "NEVER PERISH"

Whose fault is it if you do not bear fruit and are cut of when it says you are IN HIM? John 15:1-4

Whose fault is it if you are born again yet at the end Jesus says He doesn't know you? Matthew 7:19-23

Answer these questions and without trying to sidestep them by asking a question.

Read verse 16....it’s the Holy Spirit who keeps us abiding in Him....we are led by the Holy Spirit we have been birthed in the Spirit....we learn from him...we don’t learn from self....now, please explain this scripture?

16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

John 15

King James Version

15 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
17 These things I command you, that ye love one another.
18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
21 But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me.
22 If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloak for their sin.
23 He that hateth me hateth my Father also.
24 If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.
25 But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.
26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
27 And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.

We are not saved by "bearing fruit"..

"bearing fruit" is a part of our discipleship, its not a part of God's Salvation.

Salvation is Christ on the Cross, bearing your sin, in your place, so that you can be made worthy to be accepted by God, Forever.

Jesus said He gives to the BELIEVER.... "Eternal Life"... and that is not TEMPORARY or based on "bearing fruit".

This is not related to your "fruit bearing" or your self effort that you do after you are born again.

How can you not understand that God accepts a SINNER, .. .saves a SINNER.......not a "fruit bearer".

Listen, Salvation is not based on YOU., so its not KEPT by you.

Its a GIFT from God, and we dont earn, work for, or KEEP a Gift, as this gift is SPIRITUAL and based only on The Cross.

We bear fruit, that is of the Holy Spirit...he is the Fruit Bearer, that’s where our fruit comes from as a Born Again who has been birthed in the Spirit...

John 15:2-13

That particular verse says Jesus ordained them. Those are the apostles.

There are other verses that Calvinists love to claim that are also specific to the apostles, and they are all the verses where it says the the Father GIVES/GAVE them (an apostle) to Jesus. Gave and its derivatives are "key words." I've only seen the apostle John use key verses as part of his style of writing. (He also used it in 1 John 1 and 2. Say/Says is the key word there about those who say something but don't do it. Westerners like us are ignorant of key words and instead see "we" as the key word. Paul in Romans 7:14-25 used "I" and the ignorant take that as about Christians, but Paul goes on in the next chapter Romans 8:2 and says the SPIRIT freed him from the sin in Romans 7:14-25. Sinners with itching ears love false teachers that justify their sin. Paul taught we are free from sin, or dead to sin, not that he "struggled" with sin as a Christian as these false teachers claim.

John 17

Jesus Prays for Himself

17 Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You, 2 as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him. 3 And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. 4 I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do. 5 And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was.

Jesus Prays for His Disciples

6 “I have manifested Your name to the men whom You have given Me out of the world. They were Yours, You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word. 7 Now they have known that all things which You have given Me are from You. 8 For I have given to them the words which You have given Me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came forth from You; and they have believed that You sent Me.

9 “I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours. 10 And all Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine, and I am glorified in them. 11 Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are. 12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled. 13 But now I come to You, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have My joy fulfilled in themselves. 14 I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 15 I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth. 18 As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. 19 And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth.

Jesus Prays for All Believers

20 “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; 21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. 22 And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: 23 I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.

(Again about the apostles) 24 “Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world. 25 O righteous Father! The world has not known You, but I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me. 26 And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”

John 10

25 Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in My Father’s name, they bear witness of Me. 26 But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you. 27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. 28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. 30 I and My Father are one.”

That scripture is speaking to a Born Again...that i posted...so, I don’t agree with your theology.

A Born Again who has been birthed in the Spirit, will bear fruit, why, because the Holy Spirit indwells his child that he birthed in the Spirit...” PERMANENTLY “.

The Father chooses those who become Born Again...you cannot birth yourself in the Spirit...it’s an act that only God can do through the Spirit.

That is true, but that particular verse is about the apostles. Do you believe Jesus ordained you? Really?

It is verses like that about being chosen, or given that Calvinists create doctrines like OSAS out of.
