I apologize. I was in debate mode and not fellowship mode when I made those "accusations".
Debate mode? You mean carnal flesh mode. We can NEVER submit to the flesh, even in a debate. We all need to stop the sarcasm, stupid foundless accusations out of no where, and be open to being guided by the Holy Spirit. And if someone sees something good in you, don't try so hard to prove them wrong! I thought you wanted to know about Semitic writing styles. I was willing to teach you. It really opens up the Scriptures to their true meaning. Only then are there no contradictions. Only then can you appreciate the fact that Jesus was manifest to take away our sin, and in Him there is no sin. Only then can you give Jesus the honor He deserves, rather than believing He DID NOT accomplish what He was sent to free us from. SIN!
1 John 1:8 must be read in context. I like the Good News Translation for this.
5 Now the message that we have heard from his Son and announce is this: God is light, and there is no darkness at all in him. 6 If, then, we say that we have fellowship with him, yet at the same time live in the darkness, we are lying both in our words and in our actions. 7 But if we live in the light—just as he is in the light—then we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from every sin.
8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and there is no truth in us. 9 But if we confess our sins to God, he will keep his promise and do what is right: he will forgive us our sins and purify us from all our wrongdoing. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make a liar out of God, and his word is not in us.
That is an example of the Semitic writing style of
contrasts. The black are those without the Spirit of Truth, that do not belong to Christ. Romans 8:9 If we confess, only then does He give us the power of the Spirit of Truth to walk in the Light of God. (Chapter three is written in the same style. (Not by verse number, but by thought. Chapter one from 5-10 is the contrast of light vs. darkness. Chapter 3 are contrasts between children of God and children of the devil)
