Let's see if Jesus agrees with "God became flesh"...

24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Nope, Jesus taught God is only a Spirit, not flesh, and "him"(someone other than Jesus).
God says:
Rev. 1:8

I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

Jesus Christ says:
Rev. 22:13

I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.”

You LOSE . . .

No, you KNOW that the sun, moon and 12 starts are at first glance, Jacob, Rachel and Jacob's 12 sons.
You made up a "rule" that says it can have "endless meanings".
Thus, false doctrine is born per folks' whim.
THANK YOU fopr lyng again piublicly.
It makes your point even that much more stupid . . .

God inside Jesus.

Now you are getting it.

God speaks, lights up the world and works through His human glorified son.(Col 2:9).

.....and all this time you thought the 2 were competing to be alpha/omega.

My apologies.

To be specific, the RCC made up the "multiple meaning" rule that you teach per the book of Rev.

No - pay attention, Einstein:
God says:
Rev. 1:8

“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

Jesus Christ says:
Rev. 22:13

I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.”

Jesus Christ IS God.
There is NO conpetition.

Ummmm - NOT according to YOUR Protestant scholars, Einstein.

PROTESTANT
author Gregory Beale dtatrs that, “Most of Revelation’s symbols have multiple associations or meanings and … the interpreter can never be sure that all the multiple meanings of a symbol have been discovered.”

PROTESTANT schoilar John W. Ritenbaugh says that the Woman of Rev. 12 symbolizes BOTH Israel AND the Church.

You REALLY need to do your homework instead of making these kinds of idiotic claims . . .

You have the "1st person" vs the "2nd person" saying they are the alpha and omega.

They must be jockeying for top spot?

Or, is it kinda like this?...

24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.

Wait, you are the ORIGINAL protestant vs Acts 2:38 and the 3000 at Pentecost.(You and the RCC protest Peter).

You are the culprit.

Your RCC group started the commentary rule of many interpretations.

Before the RCC came along, it was 1 interpretation and many "applications".

You RCC protestants and your daughter protestants reversed it to many interpretations.

You FINALLY got something rught.

The First PERSONof the Trinity and the Second PERSON of the Trinity are BOTH calling themselves, "The Alpha and the Omega" - because they BOTH are, along with the Third PERSON of the Trinity.
Three PERSONS - One GOD.

As for the verse above in RED - your ignorance once again precedes you.
If you had bothered to keep reading what Jesus said - it would have answered your confusion.
Hertr it is on CONTEXT, Einstein . . .

John 14:23-26
Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and WE will come to them and make OUR home with them. Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.
“All this I have spoken while still with you. But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in MY name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

The Third PERSON of the Tribnity, the Holy Spirit, proceeds from BOTH the Father AND the Son . . .

John 15:26
“But when the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness about me.

John 20:21-23
Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent ME, so I send YOU.” And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the holy Spirit. Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained.”

STUDY your Bible - dpon't just ignorantly quote it . . .

WRONG, Einstein.

I gave you no less than TWO scholarly examples of PROTESTANTS who teach the polyvalent symbolism of Revelation back in post #306.

As for Acts 2:38 - I completely agree with that verse.
I simply understand it better than you . . .

You and your phony scholar daughters are all protestors of Acts 2:38.
All of you are the real Protestants.
The RCC is the mother of all Protestants.
You know it is true.
All of you despise Acts 2:38 and spend your entire existence trying to debunk it.

I don't need to "debunk" any of your faithless inventions.
Jesus already did that . . .

Matt. 28:19
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit

And, I' STILL waiting for a solid, Scriptural refutation of post #271 - which ALL of you have failed to assress.
Cat got your tongue?

Christ yes!

but Christ and his church he founded on Peter are one!
Acts 9:4 eph 5:32

Jesus Christ extends his mission, power, and authority to His church of His apostles!

Even His judging!
Matt 19:28
His teaching authority!
Matt 28:19 and Jn 20:21
His power to forgive sins!
Jn 20:23
His being the light of the world!
Matt 5:14
His ministry of reconciliation!
2 cor 5:18
His authority in governing the church and administering the kingdom!
Matt 16:18-19 & 18:18 Jn 21:17
Lk 22:29
Apart from me you can do nothing. Jn 15:5
So the church is subject to Christ!
Eph 5:24

Jesus Christ continues HIS ministry in His new covenant church thru Peter, the apostles, and their successors with the same mission, power, and authority!
Mt 16:18 Mt 28:19 Matt 18:17 Acts 1:17 acts 8:31 & 35 acts 9:4 Lk 10:16 Jn 8:32 Jn 13:20 Jn 15:5 Jn 16:13 Jn 20:21-22 eph 2:20 acts 2:42 1 Tim 3:15

Fundamentalism drives a wedge between Christ and his church, separates Christ from His kingdom, and the authority of Christ from the new covenant!

1 Corinthians 16:22
If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema

Extends to the truth and the church

Cos Christ is the truth and His church teaches the truth without error! Jn 14:6 matt 28:19 matt 18:17 1 Tim 3:15 Jn 29:21-23 Jn 16:13

Christ and His church are one! Acts 9:4 eph 5:32

Authority of the Apostles!

What authority does Christ have?
What power does Christ have?
What mission / ministry does Christ have?

Peter, the apostles and their successors have the same authority, power, and mission! Jn 20:21 as my father sent me, even so send I you!

John 17:18
As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.

The apostles are Christ’s successors!
They have authority to send others as well, apostle means one who is sent!

Therefore the apostles have authority to send more apostles or successors!
Apostolic succession!

The nations still need to be taught, disciples still need to be baptized and the church the new covenant kingdom of christ still needs to be governed!

Hebrews 3:1
Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;

Christ is an apostle, and has authority to send other apostles, the apostles also have this authority, so the apostles continue down thru the centuries as Christ promised! Matt 28:19-20

Keys of authority! And power to bind and loose! Matt 16:18 and Matt 18:18 matt 28:19 Isa 22:21-22

Moral authority:
(Teaching)
Necessity of being taught by Christ:
Two edge sword: defining truth and condemning errors, and Interpreting scripture.

Jurisdictional authority:
(Governing / administering)
Necessity of Peter and the apostles and their successors to govern the holy church.

Spiritual authority:
(Life of Grace)
Sanctifying thru the mass and Sacraments

The apostles teaching is Christ’s teaching, Christ and His church are one! Acts 9:4

Christian rule of faith is not the Bible alone! But the doctrine of the apostles! Acts 2:42

Jesus Christ continues HIS ministry in His new covenant church thru Peter, the apostles, and their successors with the same mission, power, and authority!
Mt 16:18 Mt 28:19 Acts 1:17 acts 8:31 & 35 Lk 10:16 Jn 8:32 Jn 13:20 Jn 15:5 Jn 16:13 Jn 20:21-22 eph 2:20

what is the source of truth for Christians?

The Holy SPirit, of course He's the one that jESUS SENT TO LEAD US INTO ALL TRUTH.

What is the rule of faith for Christians?

Simple: If GOD SAID IT - you can take it to the bank. And if God says it to you, you can put your weight in it, and it'll hold you. Faith is the SUBSTANCE of the thing hoped for, and the EVIDENCE of the thing not seen.

What is the pillar and ground of truth?

The Church of Jesus Christ, comprised of Born Again Christians from the beginning to the present, physically ALIVE, and Physically dead.
NO EXISTING VISIBLE CHURCH SYSTEM is that church, but its members can be found in almost all physical visible church congregations.

and we must believe all! Including the necessity of baptism Mk 16:16
matt 28:19

Jn 3:5 Born again BY water and the spirit! Not by “faith alone”!

They did not go to Jerusalem and preach “accept Christ as you’re personal Lord and savior “

They went to the river (water) and they baptized! Jn 3:22

A covenant requires an outward sign of the inward action of grace!

Ez 36:25 I will sprinkle you with clean water and you shall be made white as snow.

Acts 22:16 washing away your sins.

1 pet 3:21 baptism saves you.
