As a writer I have been trained to ask the question, “What if ?” I carry this over to most things I think about. When I study the Bible, I often ask, “What if?”
In reasoning out why God does things, I come up with some strange results, that may, or may not be true. Let me give an example:
This Earth today is a very dangerous place, outside of men killing men, the Earth takes many thousands of human, and animal life. In our past history, the Earth was much more dangerous. According to the Bible, our Earth is only about six thousand years old. The world flood was around four thousand years ago. I believe this because the Bible says it. Many scientist also agree the flood was real. Archeologist have discovered many facts that prove modern day man was here with the dinosaurs. That brings up a question for me. “Why would God put the Garden on a planet that was so dangerous? Local floods, dinosaurs, Bugs that can kill, volcanoes, earth quakes, storms, etc?
Why would he not put the Garden on a planet without all those dangers? “What if,” he did? We call this planet, “Wilderness Earth.” Is this planet the Wilderness, Adam and Eve were thrust into? Was the Garden on some other planet? “What if?”
How do you reason on the Bible?

Why was there a flaming sword placed at the entrance to Eden after the fall? Were Adam and Eve capable of interplanetary travel and could jump between worlds on a whim? Of course they could not as is the notion Eden was a far off planet. Some "what ifs" bear further examination, others are just mental fluff for the mass consumption of a stupefied and dim witted audience.

Christians are going to be lifted up...do you think they could be lowered down? The sword is symbolic.

How do you reason on the Bible?

The Lord created Adam from the dust of the earth...then he placed him in the garden. Genesis 2:7-8, 15.

Blessings!

There are other planets with dirt. If we lived on a different planet would we call it, our Earth? When man came to the America's, he started naming his little towns after those he cams from.
I'm not saying we came from a different planet...but, in view of the things found on this one, it would make more sense...what if you and me had met in Paris on a warm summer night? Now that would be something to talk about.

Demonstrate the sword is symbolic yet the rest of the account is factual. You are inventing symbolism that isn't there.

" When God began to create, the writer refers to our earth. Note: Genesis 1
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was formless...

Other planets with dirt would suggest life, since dirt brings forth living things...

what if you and me had met in Paris on a warm summer night? Now that would be something to talk about.
Indeed? :huh:

I knew a warm summer night in Paris would make you come back. I would give you candy, and whisper in your ear.

:huh: now cut that out and let's get back to the subject at hand... :)

I am Italian. After Jesus returns...we will all be Italian. Do you think we are just going to sit around an talk about the Bible 24/7? God is happy when his people love life. Relax...here, have some red wine.

i see you like to analyze everything. analyzing is good to a point but there is also a point that you need to step out in faith. the word teaches us that what we loose in heaven is loose on earth and what we bind on earth is bound in heaven. so 'WHAT IF' we take the bible literally and stand upon the word that all things are possible and believe for the supernatural like walking on water, changing the the molecular structure of things(water to wine) and ect. what if we all started believing and making the supernatural a reality in our everyday life?

God bless

Gen 1:1-5
1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

{WHEN EVER THAT WAS..... GOD DID NOT CREATE A CHAOTIC MESS, IT BECAME THAT WAY WHEN INIQUITY WAS FOUND IN LUCIFER/SATAN IN THE OLD WORLD, You will notice that these are not Adam, for Adam was created alone and before all plants and animals as mentioned in Gen.2.These were created together and after all other things. When it says And, it means THEN}

2 And{THEN} the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 And {THEN}
God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4 And {THEN}
God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
5 And {THEN}
God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
etc.......
KJV

Man was given dominion over the EARTH not another planet
Gen 1:26
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
KJV

Water into wine means to fill your vessel(body) with the living water(The Word) and you will be the best wine(Israel) saved till last and full of joy on the 3rd day for the wedding.

i would like to know how you came up with this meaning for turning water to wine. first off, nowhere in scripture that i know off uses wine to symbolize isreal. second, you cannot use both figurative and literal meanings in the same sentence. either we interpret the whole sentence figuratively or literally but not both. i could go on but until i understand how you came up with your understanding of this scripture verse i will hold off being too critical.

God bless
