I have admitted that several times.....
And I believe that.
But there is always the but.....
Sinning can prevent a Christian from going to heaven and land them in hell.
It is all through the New testament. Christ and the Apostles repeatedly warn Christians not to sin because it can land them in hell.
Be good and do good is what a Christian is told to do....by Christ and the Apostles.
Christianity is not a religion of sin.
Christ is not tolerant to sin.
Hell is for sinners.
Heaven is for those that do good and do good deeds.
Christianity is a religion of morals and character.
Christians should try to please God.
You do not go to hell for being good.
You go to hell for being bad.

Now any more ignorant posts and I will just copy and paste this as a response.

Prepare to “ copy and paste” .....Your False and Perverted Gospel is STRAiGHT FROM HELL! And “ YOU” ( as described in Gal. 1:8 ) are “ ACCURSED”.....
Damned by God Forever.....OK....go ahead and do your “copy and paste” thing....Newbies out there —- Read Galatians and tell me I am wrong.....

Not only that, but Christianity was designed to save sinners.
Lifeboats are designed to save people but that does not mean they stay in the water with the sharks.
So here ya go...maybe you will understand it the second time....if not get someone to help you read it....For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world by the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and are overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first. 2nd Peter 2:20

We sin....but we keep it to a minimum in severity and frequency ....we ask forgiveness and are forgiven.
Be good and do good....

True Believers are Forgiven even before they ask....Their Sin Ledgers we’re nailed to the Cross...Not only “ Forgiven” —- they are actually “ Forgotten” ....

I just can’t seem to find this in my Bible... “ By Grace you are Saved, if you keep the frequency and severity of your sins under control!” ...lol, what a load of horse - hockey!

No.

You are only saved, ....If you have Jesus in you. if you have GOD in you. If you have the Holy Spirit in you.

If you are ""become the Temple of the Holy Spirit""", then THAT is why you are saved., as that is the proof.

That God has joined you to His Spirit, = THAT is why you are saved.
Being born again is the only proof that God has you in Himself.

Faith is not your Savior.
Faith didnt die on the Cross for anyone.
You should find out what faith means and what believe means.

And notice that in every verse in the NT they are in the present tense.

Have you read Matthew 24/25?
Have you read Matthew 7:23?
Have you read Ephesians 2:10?

Here's another thing you can do.
Find in the NT a couple of verses that state that ALL WE ARE TO DO is believe in Jesus and we will be saved and that we are NOT required to do good works.

ALL JESUS SPOKE ABOUT WAS DOING GOOD WORKS.

He came to show us how to BE A PART OF THE KINGDOM.
What exactly do you think Jesus came to us for?

JESUS BECAME LIKE US
SO WE COULD BECOME LIKE HIM

How was He that we should become like Him?
What does it mean to be a disciple of Jesus?

You really need to stop posting your own thoughts and post what scripture states and post the scripture for those reading along.
That would be nice.

You're such a joyful Christian...

Trust Me ! You don’t know the “ HALF” of It! God has placed such a Joy in my Heart, it does not matter “ what” happens....the worst news in the world certainly does not make me happy, but there seems to be a part of me at my Core that is simply Untouchable..... I understand what Paul meant when he said that he had learned to be “ content” in ANY situation....I share in that....kinda makes me think that I am “ ON to something “ with my continuing Doctrine Of NOTHING BUT THE BLOOD.....some of you out there oughta give it a shot! It pays big dividends “ down here” , plus it guarantees me my Salvation....
Good post.
You are guaranteed your salvation indeed, as long as your core is untouchable by unbelief.

Hebrews 3:11-12
The Peril of Unbelief
11So I swore on oath in My anger, ‘They shall never enter My rest.’ ”
12See to it, brothers, that none of you has a wicked heart of unbelief that turns away from the living God. 13But exhort one another daily, as long as it is called today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.…

Please note that the writer of Hebrews is writing to his BROTHERS...other Christians.
Other CHRISTIANS can turn away from the living God.

What exactly do you think Jesus came to us for?

To die.
What for?

If Romans 1:18-20 states that we could ALWAYS have believed in God?
18For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,
19because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them.
20For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.

Once again, you post with no scripture.
Have you read all the scripture regarding the Kingdom of God here on earth?
Try Matthew 13.

Is this for me?
You didn't tag me in.

That's how we GET SAVED.
THEN what happens?

You keep saying works are not necessary.
THAT is the scripture you should be looking for.

God's grace toward us is what saves us....if we don't believe in God but do many good works, they count for nothing.
IF WE ARE SAVED, we are REQUIRED TO DO GOOD WORKS.

How many times must I post verses that you do not even reply to?

Matthew 6:1-14

1“Beware of practicing your righteousness before men to be noticed by them; otherwise you have no reward with your Father who is in heaven.

2“So when you give to the poor, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may be honored by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full. 3“But when you give to the poor, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4so that your giving will be in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.

5“When you pray, you are not to be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and on the street corners so that they may be seen by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full. 6“But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.

7“And when you are praying, do not use meaningless repetition as the Gentiles do, for they suppose that they will be heard for their many words. 8“So do not be like them; for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.

9“Pray, then, in this way:
‘Our Father who is in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.

10Your kingdom come.
Your will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.

Jesus came here as atonement for our sins
AND
to establish God's Kingdom on earth.

True....and Jesus is looking for Spiritual “ Fruition” as opposed to Spiritual “Imitation”.... Don’t “ ACT” like Jesus —- “ BE” like Jesus...

What made “Jesus” Jesus? His Complete Trust in God—- His FAITH! ...Concentrate on THAT , get God’s Holy Spirit in you which Jesus had 100% , and “Being like Jesus” will slowly come about Naturally...

This is why Paul never said , “ The Righteous shall *LIVE* by trying real hard to be good and keep the Law 10% of the time like Jesus did”

Wanna know how to * LIVE* ? What Paul Actually Said was “The JUST shall live by FAITH!”— WE provide the Faith and God will take care of the rest....He does that by the Spirit that He gave you “ because” of that Faith...That Spirit gives you the DESIRE plus the POWER to deliver you from Sin...

I'm not here for you BB.
As I've stated many times,,,I'm here for those reading along that may be new to Christianity and are getting confused by those such as yourself that state that no matter how we live after salvation, we will still be saved.

THIS IS NOT CORRECT.

The NT exhorts BELIEVERS to live good lives.

I made my point very clearly, if you don't understand it, this may be the reason you also don't understand the New Testament.
OR
You prefer to listen to preachers that say one could even blaspheme God and still be saved.

No such animal in the NT.

As I've said,,,a non-believer is not required to do any works at all since he is not God-bound for eternity.
A believer is REQUIRED to do good works, just as YOUR verse states so...

Ephesians 2:8-10
8For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;
9not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.
10For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.

Unfortunately, one has to read the ENTIRE NT, not only the verse that agree with their unbiblical beliefs.

Good post.

What if we lose the faith?
And stop clinging on to Jesus?

And, BTW, Paul said the law is good.

Here. It's simple:

FAITH SAVES.
Now you are teaching Ferris Bueller 101

Listen...

Faith does not save.

GOD SAVES, through Faith.

Faith is not the Savior, unless faith died on the Cross for you.
Show me that verse, deceiver.

God ACCEPTS FAITH....to SAVE YOU.

Faith saves NOTHING.
50 ..."Your faith has saved you; go in peace.” Luke 7:50
Call it Ferris Bueller 101 if you want, we mean it exactly the way Jesus means it.

He does not accept the fact that the person who does not live for God after salvation, sinning willfully, is in unbelief. But at the same time he contends that if you go back to unbelief you are still saved because you got saved when you first believed and salvation can't be taken back. That's the convoluted logic of this ridiculous new OSAS teaching that in his mind nullifies the scriptures that say the person who is not living for God is not saved/born again.

A believer is REQUIRED to do good works, just as YOUR verse states so.
He does not accept the plain teaching of scripture that says the faith that justifies apart from works is the faith that works:

"The only thing that counts (towards justification - see context) is faith expressing itself through love." Galatians 5:6
IOW, BB, if you have a faith that does not work deeds of righteousness, you do not have the faith that justifies. The faith that justifies is the faith that can be seen in how you live. If it can't, you don't really have faith. You are an unbeliever. You have a fake faith that can not save you. You are not born again. You are not ready to face Christ when he returns. God told us this for a reason, so we'd know if we are ready to meet Jesus when he returns. We know it by how we live. How we live shows if we really have faith in God's forgiveness.

Good Deeds and the Shinning Light of the Scriptures can defeat all that is Evil

Matthew 25:31-46
The Parable of the Sheep and the Goats
“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’ “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’ “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’
“Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”

I have never met anyone on the forum that believes that Good Deeds are what saves you. But people will twist it and say they do. What kind of person is that? But Christ believed and said that not doing Good Deeds will send you to Hell.

The Parable of the Good Samaritan
On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?” “What is written in the Law?” he replied. “How do you read it?” He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’ and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.

“You have answered correctly,” Jesus replied. “Do this and you will live.”

But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?” In reply Jesus said: “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead. A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him. The next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’ he said, ‘and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.’

“Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?”

The expert in the law replied, “The one who had mercy on him.”

Jesus told him, “Go and do likewise.”

In these two parables that were spoken by Christ Himself we see that Good Deeds are a reflection of the Spirit of Christ.

Matthew 5:16
Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

Galatians 6:9
Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary.

Colossians 3:17
Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.

James 4:17
Therefore, to one who knows the right thing to do and does not do it, to him it is sin.

James 2:26
For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.

Hebrews 10:24
and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds,

Titus 2:7-8
in all things show yourself to be an example of good deeds, with purity in doctrine, dignified, sound in speech which is beyond reproach, so that the opponent will be put to shame, having nothing bad to say about us.

Titus 3:14
Our people must also learn to engage in good deeds to meet pressing needs, so that they will not be unfruitful.

James 1:27
Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.

Ephesians 2:10
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.

James 2:14-17
What use is it, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but he has no works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is without clothing and in need of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and be filled,” and yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that? Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself.

3rd John 1:11
Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. The one who does good is of God; the one who does evil has not seen God.

James 2:24
You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone.

1 Timothy 6:18
Instruct them to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share,

Hebrews 13:16
And do not neglect doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.

Galatians 6:10
So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.

John 5:28-29
Do not marvel at this; for an hour is coming, in which all who are in the tombs will hear His voice, and will come forth; those who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the evil deeds to a resurrection of judgment.

Luke 3:11
And he answered them, “Whoever has two tunics is to share with him who has none, and whoever has food is to do likewise.”

Love God and love one another
Be good and do good
