The truth of what goes on in his threads is that men are furious at the truth being spoken and so they try to start a melee in his threads and try to wear him down to impatience or to having even a tiny slip or flaw or imperfection of tongue to find reason to accuse him before the mods. And so they attack and maneuver and try to find cause to accuse him to the mods for DARING to speak against an idol of their fathers.

EXACTLY. Not “sorta like,” but EXACTLY like the verse. So really, epi should rejoice that he suffers their reproach as his Lord did and does because his reward will be great.

We see modern anti-Semitism created by religious clerics from Christendom in the early centuries AD (and yet they copied so many of their religious ways) ...who wanted to diminish the Jews as God's people. You perhaps saw that same bigotry displayed here in an above post to minimize the lesson that the Bible is giving to the people of God at the present time. But bigotry only serves to repeat history...whereby nothing is learned. If the bigot is doomed to failure, perhaps others might fear the Lord and take heed to the warnings of the Bible.

Not what I was looking for at all on this subject Epi. These actual expressions never existed as you indicated. I was literally asking for when these expressions were actually created and used as a tool or weapon much later than your time-line. I also noticed you may have responded to @Lizbeth instead of me initially on this subject. Not to worry, maybe another time for another day of discussion.

I don’t see that it matters, personally. If someone is hateful and discriminatory against Jews, it is anti semitism whether the exact phrase was in fashion yet or not and whether it occurred 100 years ago or 5 days ago…

I do. I thank God for the privilege of being hated for speaking as He tells me to speak. I don't want to see people judged. But how will they turn from their ways unless they are warned?

It’s a bit similar to being welcomed into eternal habitations for giving a kindness/help/cup of water to any of Christs body.

Its also a bit similar (maybe) to all workers in the parable getting the same pay no matter if they worked as much or less…

You lost me. Semitic technically refers to any of the Afro-asiatic languages, which includes Hebrew speaking and Aramaic and Arabic speaking people groups too.
So, as a lawyer would reckon, to discriminate against and hate an Arabic speaker would be anti semitic.

And if I hate and discriminate against say…a mandarin speaking person, who is, of course, Chinese, (or an English speaking Chinese person for that matter!) am I anti mandarin or anti Chinese or should it technically be called Sinophobia…?

There is a temptation among the "born-again" crowd to look down on the Jews. Of course, there are Jews that do likewise to the Gentiles. But all this is carnal and impedes an understanding of the bible and its teachings.

If we negate the Jews as being God's people under the Old Covenant, we won't have any idea what we are about as God's people under the New Covenant.
Did God so hate the Jews that He made it very hard for them and very easy for non-Jews? Or, are we being fooled in our assumptions in the very same way that religious Jews become smug in their own superiority?

God is very wise...and He catches the foolish ones in their folly.

It is far better to respect the Jews as God's people and learn from their mistakes....considering ourselves lest we also be puffed up in a religious mindset.

It is wise to read the Exodus story...and then Hebrews to see that the unbelieving were God's people and not those who don't have their theological ducks in a row.
